The last four months have been incredibly sad as we have had to farewell two deeply loved furry members of our family. One was anticipated but the second was completely unexpected. In both instances the team at Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic treated us with patience and understanding. The respect shown to our animals before and after by Dr. Emer will always be remembered and the care and compassion of all the staff during such sad times, always appreciated. Our wee friends were treated with expertise and care in life and in death.

We couldn't have had a better experience & were so blown away by the true care, compassion and just all round expertise. The kindest people you could meet, who truly care about both pets and people that walk through the door. Going above and beyond for us & we couldn't be more thankful for the care of our girl Manchester and her four kittens. Couldn't recommend more highly. - Stephan & Nakita

The best vet clinic that I have come across. I have a cat that suddenly stopped eating and he is also a very timid cat. I brought him to the Ellerslie Vet and was very worried about him staying there overnight for the first time since I adopted him. When I went to pick him up 3 days later, he appeared to be content and yet was happy to see me. It is so good to see my fur baby is recovering well and what a relief. Huge thanks to the team who are passionate , caring and have kept me well informed through the process. I would give them 100 stars if I could.

Incredibly friendly and professional at the same time. We have been taking our cats to see Kathrin and the rest of the team for a number of years now and we are always impressed with the quality of their care. Excellent communication and follow up if required. Would highly recommend.

The staff and owners here are fantastic. They treat you better than family. The animals are well cared for from the minute they come through the door. Any cat staying in the cattery gets lots of love throughout the day.

This vet clinic went above and beyond for my 5month old border collie pup when we both got hit by a car on foot. They were very vigilant and took the best care of cody and were in frequent contact with myself and my family so we knew he was in good hands. I would recommend this place to everyone!

I think Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic is the best vet in Auckland! They deeply care about the pets in their care and go out of their way to make both pet and owner comfortable. They take extra precautions during surgery to ensure that the animal is well monitored and have modern equipment. Jana, Kathrin and Della have all gone the extra mile with their communication. I have such trust in them that I continued to make the drive to Ellerslie after I moved to the North Shore. When I moved overseas, the team worked very closely with me through the process of moving my pets with me, which included Jana phoning both me and immigration to discuss their status. I couldn't not give them a higher recommendation!

My name is Charlie and I cannot thank mum and dad enough for choosing Ellerslie Vet as my vet clinic. Dr Kathrin and her team go above and beyond no matter what and always take such great care of me. I've definitely had my fair share of health problems but guess what - I'm not even scared to go to the doctor! As soon as mum gets my cat carrier out, I jump right in and get excited to go see my friends at the vet. Sometimes I even get to have sleepovers when my parents go away! Pretty cool huh! Mum also wanted me to mention the amazing customer service. She says every single member of the team is absolutely incredible and always super helpful. You guys are just the best, thank you so very much! I (and mum and dad) really appreciate all that you do!

I switched to this clinic because the original vet I was using was rude & difficult. SO glad I did. The vets at Ellerslie Vet Clinic are all so caring and do an amazing job. My cat doesn't like strangers but took to Cate straight away. Makes going to the vet a good experience.

Our cat was turned in to Ellerslie vet clinic and we were made aware of this as soon as they received him. Dr Kathrin took care and healed him from a very serious car accident. He is now home and almost 100% now. She was great and supported us through the very traumatic time. We had regular follow ups to see how Hunter was recovering. She discussed all our options at each stage. She was always so caring with the way she was handling him. I could not thank her enough. I would definitely recommend Ellerslie Vet Clinic. Thank you so much for everything team.

The staff is amazing, the place is really tidy and doesn't smell, and cats are separated from dogs! Luffy is actually pretty chill when we go and wait for our turn. Her vet, Dr Nortier, is very caring and gentle, she's great! Also I can't get tired of the emails addressed to Luffy directly.

I could not recommend the services of Ellerslie Vets any more than if I ran it myself. I have been a cat owner for many years in the UK and having recently migrated to New Zealand I was very careful to whom I entrusted the health of my elderly cat. Due to minor illnesses my cat experienced on entering New Zealand, it was important for me to find a vets that I trusted implicitly. Over a period of time, I met both Jess and Katherine, the vets, and have liaised with the nurses and reception staff, who have always been so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Both Jess and Katherine have recently showed their true dedication and their obvious love to the animals they treat, whilst looking after my cat, who became ill and unfortunately, very recently I had to make the impossible decision to have her put to sleep. I could not speak highly enough of the care and attention that Katherine displayed both to my cat and with me, at a very sad time. She is truly an amazing vet, with a huge heart and I will be forever grateful to her for her professionalism and sensitivity to my case. I would recommend her wonderful practice to anyone, knowing that the service you would receive would far outweigh anyway else you would go. Heartfelt thanks.

Our Rabbit was not feeling 100%, we are very concerned and looked up vets with Rabbit experience I found Ellerslie Veterinary by searching in Google they are highly recommended by many owners, we are very happy for the quality and professional service not to mention all the friendly staff, our Rabbit is now back to normal and playing again!! We can't Thank you enough for the excellent care and service they provided 100% recommende anyone to take their pets there.

We moved to this clinic after a negative experience elsewhere and it was a fantastic move. The team are extremely friendly and professional. Our dog loves them and is always excited when she goes in. The service is top notch, nothing is ever too much. They are always available for advice too, which is great when you have a needy pup like ours!!

I sought a second opinion from this clinic and was looking for a vet who could do more than most. This is the place! They treat your animals with the utmost respect and like royalty. They explain everything and are a step up from your usual vet and can even do ultrasounds. Almost like a specialist vet clinic. They even have a waiting area for cats and dogs. Dr Jesse Beer cleaned our geriatric cat Tim's ears and feet. Sadly Tim succumbed to his ailments, and we received a sympathy card. Tim was 3 months off his 20th birthday and he was a very sick little old boy. Thank you for treating our poor old boy Tim and pulling out all the stops. Tim started cleaning his own feet himself after Dr Beer cleaned them.

Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic took fabulous care of our new fur baby Oscar. He was treated like royalty as they gave him his vaccinations and microchipped him and then looked after him for the morning for us. Kathrin and her team obviously love all animals and provide a wonderful warm environment for them. They go the extra mile for their customers and we look forward to having them as our kitten's vet as he grows. Thank you for the exceptional service.

The cattery took very good care of my 'special needs' cat. She has high anxiety and can stress herself sick and sad, but she came back her usual chipper, overly-opinionated self. She had clearly received generous loving attention from staff, because she's not as needy as she usually would be. She can despise catteries at times, but I suspect she enjoyed Ellerslie cattery so much she seemed a bit annoyed I took her home. Thanks guys for going the extra mile!

They are very helpful, professional and are gentle with the pets, with a calm, nourishing environment. They fully explain the procedures of treatments, and make suggestions and tips to make the most of the pet's health. They get the job done as quickly as possible but still doing their best. Kath is the best vet we've had, we highly recommend her.

Great service, very welcoming and friendly stuff. We also did puppy school, quite enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend these vets especially if you are local :)

What a beautiful place and what an outstanding vet! My neighbour recommended Kathrin from Ellerslie Vet Clinic highly and so I went to them for a second opinion on my sick cat. Kathrin took a lot of time examining my cat and listening to me and my concerns. She explained to me in a very professional way, why she has to repeat an ultrasound and some of the diagnostics despite the fact it had already been done by my previous vet. To make a long story short, she found a liver disease which is now been treated successfully. I cannot recommend Kathrin and her team enough. Thank you very much.

Of the many vet clinics I have seen over the years, Ellerslie Vets is by far the best, a truly high end clinic. The staff are very proficient and friendly with a wide knowledge base. They cared for our rabbits with great professionalism, I can't recommend these guys enough.

Our family cat Pippi was not well and ultimately her time with us had come to an end. The staff were incredibly caring and understanding as we gave our last respects to Pippi. Thanks for helping us with this difficult day!!

Kathrin Brinker is an outstanding vet. Some of my animals have had intensive medical needs and Kathrin has always been a very compassionate, caring professional that goes the extra mile. In my experience her international training, knowledge, and expertise surpasses that of the average vet. Your pet will be in very caring, expert hands at the Ellerslie Vet Clinic and Cattery. I can't recommend them enough.

Finding a great vet is as important as a great doctor and finding a rabbit expert is impossible in Auckland and Dr Kathrin is honestly one in a million. She is thorough and makes sure you understand everything that needs to be done and she isn't afraid to explore options and fight just as hard as you do for the quality of life for your furkids.Not only is she a rabbit whisperer ,our dogs and cat love her and are never afraid to go see"Aunty Kathrin " The whole team at the clinic are amazing and the facilities are extensive and it means you have all the tools you need no matter what breed of animal you have You have made our lives happy and hopeful so many times this year Your compassion ,knowledge , support and love has meant so much to our family and the recent dog attack on Willow our Flemish giant rabbit has shown us again that our family wouldn't be whole right now without your tireless efforts to save our bun and nurse her back to health , your compassion kept us sane as well in such a stressful time. Your flexibility and willingness to stay late and support us with the home care was phenomenal and we will always be forever grateful I'm so very proud every time I recommend you to every fur parent I know x

I cannot recommend Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic more highly. Dr Kathrin and Trinette have set up an incredibly caring, nurturing and supportive environment for owners and their beloved pets. I have two cats, Alfred (Alfie) and Wilma and recently Wilma had a serious ear infection as well as needing surgery on her nose due to her short face and restricted breathing. Wilma is now a happier, healthier and more contented cat and it's the best money I've ever spent. I also use their cattery. Alfie is extremely nervous around unfamiliar cats and had a terrible experience at another cattery. Trinette and Dr Kathrin -at short notice - set them up in their own room so that Alfie would feel safe and secure. It gave me peace of mind that they were happy, meaning I could enjoy my holiday. I will be telling anyone who wants and needs a wonderful vet clinic to come here.

First time we visited Kathrin and her team was unfortunately to put our cat down. Kathrin was kind and professional/respectful. Although it was a sad experience I am glad I lucked upon a decent veterinary clinic for this visit. It was also nice that the 'consult' hours are limited to two sessions so I didn't have a crowd to sift through afterwards. The pricing seemed fair compared to what I had been estimated by a friend in the industry. I had to laugh when the receptionist who had just charged my card said "Do you want a receipt...yeah probably not..." seems awkward but a bit of a smile from accidental humor is what I needed. My lovable but very energetic dog, Jemma had a wound that required treatment She was handled very well by all the staff, right from reception through to nursing and veterinary care, resulting in a positive experience for both of us. She received expert care. My wife also talked me in to a very smart new collar ( for Jemma that is). Great to have a clinic of this calibre nearby. Peter

Dr. Kate Nortier was so gentle with my visitor, Maltese Masti, who had a bad cut at very tender place after a grooming. While examining him, she communicated with him that he allowed her to take swab, apply medicine and poke him with needle 😄. I highly recommend Dr. Nortier and the facility. Masti was not even in their list but they looked after him so well.

I had to put my cat in the cattery for the first time and was so pleased that she settled in so well and looked to healthy and content when I fetched her. She loved playing with the kittens. Her coat was gleaming and she was so well. Thank you so much !

Our wee lilltle man loves this place. Everyone is very knowledgeable and they genuinely care about fur-babies. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Lil pup.

Amazing service, and so caring. I took my pup there for his neutering and they went above and beyond not just with his care, but their calm reassuring manner with an anxious me.
