L.Gary and his lovely wife Jenny are so friendly. Gary gives sound advice and was very compassionate when we had to put our dog Schultz down early last year. We now take our puppy Kobie there and find the team an absolute pleasure to deal with.
j.I'm Stunned by some of the negative reviews people have given Dr Garry. This vet and his team are so knowledgeable, kind and supportive. Ignore the haters, I highly recommend them.
S.Henderson valley vet was recommended to us by a friend, I'm glad we swapped over. Garry can be upfront but I love that, I'd rather know than have someone dance around. The receptionists are lovely and let me yabber away at them ❤️ My oldest dog had her surgery through them and he was really good, then I found out my puppy had been vaccinated wrong by another vet with only two shots and done with vanguard not the plus for puppies. He ended up with parvo and they were very lovely and gave me the medications contact less and made sure I knew how to use them. He has pulled through and is 100% again, I will be sticking with these guys because they are very thorough.
G.The BEST vet in west Auckland. Everyone you speak to are extremely polite and professional with a smile.
Dr Gary makes sure that you and your pet are both at ease and keeps you well informed. Very down to earth with always a smile on his face.

L.Dr Garry was in great form, joking and chatting. Vaxxed and microchipped my new little puppy, gave her a complete health check. She was a good girl in the experienced hands of Dr Garry and we'll be back in a few weeks for final vaxx and weigh in.
K.I cannot recommend Dr Garry, Jenny and the team highly enough.
We have been to multiple vets over the past 10 months with our rotund ginger cat, all with different diagnosis and treatments, none of which 'felt' right, when things got really serious a friend recommended Henderson Valley Vets to get yet another opinion.
Dr Garry straight away identified how serious the situation was, he phoned other vet clinics to obtain our cats records and phoned the specialist clinic (ARC) to try and get our cat seen despite how busy the clinic was.
The specialists agreed with Dr Garry on the likely diagnosis and we are undergoing further tests, but we are confident our cat is in the best hands and if we had not been referred to Henderson Valley Vets, we would not be in such a positive position.
A huge thank-you to the team for looking after Toby, going above and beyond and most importantly, having the knowledge to help us look after our family member when we were at our wits end.
P.I noticed that my girl had her toe nail growing through her skin. I rang up an they said to come in after 3pm. I Meet the lovely reception. An the vet I didn't catch his name I know he was covering for Gary. Such a gift with th dogs he helps. Thanks guys
C.Amazing vet! Cat expert. If you have a cat in the Henderson area, we highly recommend this vet. He makes your feline friend so at ease. The cattery is an added bonus.
B.My cat Pepsi just had another wonderful stay in the cattery, they keep the radio on for him and always offer to flea and worm him while he is there! Such a nice vibe from the staff there.

d.Day one of recovery after surgery and already is happy to be out and about eating grass. Everything is going well all thanks to Gary. Cant wait for her to be back to her normal self running around! l.I had a very pleasant visit, all of the staff were very nice, attentive and caring. Dr Garry was so kind and patient and helped to ease all my concerns with regards to my fur baby (Pablo). Would absolutely recommend to anyone if you want a personalized and welcoming experience. Can't fault it.
J.I had to put down my dog and the team at henderson valley vet made the process stress free and put us at ease making it transparent as possible. Although Alize was scared the process was quick and pain free. Thank you Henderson Valley Vet for making a sad time for our family as easy and stress free as possible. 😀
L.Gary has been looking after our two elderly dogs for 11 years now. He is a great vet with a wealth of knowledge. And for someone like me it's all about the details. I was told by someone in the industry he was one of the best vetinary surgeons and over the years both of our dogs have undergone several surgeries with Gary with excellent results. Our only regret is that we are relocating to Central Otago and I know we won't find another vet as thorough and caring as Gary and his team. Thank you everyone at HVV for looking after our dogs so well. Lucky and Little Man will miss those treats.
P.Always had the very best of advice and care for my cats and dog from Garry, Jenny and their friendly team. Garry accurately diagnosed our first cat's serious condition when other vets missed it. He may may not be the cheapest vet around but he is very competent and that's why I keep using his services.

J.Shannon thanks for your feedback. Thanks also for taking on a dog from a Foundation. The challenge when getting a pet from such a place is that the age is uncertain. The only time a dog can be accurately aged is when they are 16-20 wks old (only works in medium and large breeds). If they have no mature teeth then they must be less than 16 wks. The WASAVA international consensus statement for vaccinations states that the last vaccination should be at 16 wks or older. Hope this explains things better. I’m very sorry I offended you.
