T.First and Foremost COVID safe and trading which was a god send when I hit a dog just down the road from this vet. I was in shock and felt sick to my stomach. All staff where brilliant with both myself, the dogs owner and quite simply incredible when it came to the dog and the dogs requirements. The dogs comfort was 100 percent their first priority.
B.Fantastic place, old-school service and amazing value. Brett and Rachel are understanding about the fact that my young dog hates going to the vet and both times we've been, they've found a way to treat/vaccinate him despite his unhelpful behaviour (and without making me feel bad about it). They both really know their stuff and the cost is super reasonable - I wish I'd known about them sooner for other pets. It's not a fancy set-up but I have no doubt your pet will get the best care possible here.

m.My Griffon, Harley Dee was diagnosed very late, with IBD at three years old.
After loads of vet medications and synthetic food, he had lost all motivation, was doped up and was seriously struggling. I was so sad to see him that way and decided it was time to go holistic.
Brett told me to get him off all meds and gave me homeopathic treatments for Harley. Initially I was nervous, but I trusted it and in a month I witnessed Harley's recovery. The fog lifted and he had recovered his zest for life.
Brett is absolutely amazing. He tunes into the animal and follows up with a quick and confident diagnosis and treatment plan.
If I could tell everyone struggling with IBD in their pets to visit Brett, I would.

N.One of my dogs had a 5mm lump oh his head, I didn't want to have him sedated for removal so was interested in alternative treatments. This clinic was recommended to me and after 3_5 days of the treatment recommended the lump was flat.

J.Was told by our original vet our dog would need surgery on both legs for torn tendons. We had been recommended to go and see Brett for a second opinion, we took our dog to see Brett and she could hardly walk due to her hind legs and his diagnosis was arthritic rather than tendons. We have had our dog on some natural medicines Brett provided and after 2 - 3 weeks our dog was running around like a puppy ! (she is 6 yrs. old) Incredible result and we are now 12 weeks on from when we saw Brett and all is well so hopefully it is sorted and our dog will not have to have any surgery
C.Highly rated for pricing. Vet care should be accessible to anyone who has an animal and these guys make it super affordable. I like how they seem to have a focus on holistic and natural therapy which makes for a change from the norm.
The receptionist was lovely to deal with, super friendly to both my animals and my toddler. The vet we saw (a woman) was quite abrupt and not altogether friendly, very matter of fact and I don't think she smiled once while we were talking. In saying that at the end of the day she did 'vet' well. Perhaps would've been nicer if she'd had a bit more friendliness for people

G.Brett is great, HOWEVER the other vet doctor at this practice caused us a lot of pain. She had falsely diagnosed our cat's overwhelming lost of fur as a result of fleas costing us money that was not necessary. (They had no fleas at all to start with).
We headed back because our pets fur got so bad that he had visible bald patches and bumps everywhere...then to hear that its a classic sign of food allergies from inspecting his skin?...
This only got worst from the change of foods to Purina that the other vet doctor had suggested to us. .
Definitely do not go and see her, I recommend if you want a right treatment for your pet to go see Brett
A.Brett is the most amazing vet. He is a true expert and knows exactly what he's doing. When he examined my cat's mouth, he instantly diagnosed her with mouth cancer. He has a wonderful kind and caring manner and treats your animals so gently. Prices are very fair.

N.Great vets ... very knowledgeable vet ,knows instantly what is wrong with your fur babies ... also very reasonable price .... doesn't cost an arm and a leg .. so you can take your pets when unwell and know they will instantly know what is wrong .
Also great use of homeopathic treatments which are great.

S.First visit here and it blew my mind. I was pulling out my hair, my dog gets regular ear infections and nothing works. I thought I have to try something alternative as this is madness. As soon as I told Bret about the ear issues he asked me does she chew her feet? I said yes all the time, and he said ok it’s her food she’s allergic to something. I have never been asked this by a vet and have told vets this over the years and no one has ever related it back to her food other than just give medication and then the ear infection eventually comes back. It felt ground breaking. Visit was affordable Bret and Rachael the reception were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We came from over the North Shore and am so so happy to finally have some answers and also solutions as well as preventive options for my dog. We walked away with a big bag of addiction which is a natural dog food which my dog loved and should support her a lot better now that I know she can’t have chicken, it’s an amazing blend of Kangaroo, apples, berrys, herbs, vitamins. Amazing stuff. I had been thinking I was feeding my dog well, with a raw food diet however she is highly allergic to chicken and Bret said he’s seeing this more and more. Fantastic experience.

Especially when your fur baby has a condition mainstream medicine can't help with or has helped as much as it can( great assistance to older dogs and helping with general old age ! Stiff joints / arthritis/ cataracts etc) or you are just looking for other options beyond mainstream veterinary medicine
D.So glad a mate put us on to this vet. He's awesome, after spending hundreds at another vet we took our dog here and a week later we can already see some improvement in him. The vet and his receptionist/nurse are so helpful and true animal lover's, we can't recommend them enough, they're awesome.

A.The team here are so obviously passionate about animal health and wellbeing. It's refreshing to be offered options and advice on pet health that offers alternatives - all the usual things you'd find at a regular vet, plus natural and homeopathic remedies too - these are never forced on you but it's nice to have the option! This is a pet-first rather than commercial-first approach.
D.Awesome holistic vet. It's clear he values animals over profit, you will never be pressured to put your animal through unnecessary treatment or surgery. Only the best!
N.We are very happy with the "amazing vet". I do wonder what Best Scrub expects in customer service? Surely the customer is the pet, if they could speak I'm sure they would be happy. How can you rate a 2☆ when you rate the vet "amazing". That alone should be a 3☆.

We recommend them to all our friends with pets. If you need a second opinion definitely look for alternatives. Try them you'll like them.
M.My cat is docile by breed, but has a record for stressing out and attacking other vets. One grooming place decided to groom cats as well as dogs but decided to close that down once they groomed my cat cause she attacked them. However with Brett she acts like a child on her best behavior.
I also got told she needed all her teeth removed to solve her gum problems and Brett recommended me a safer, preventative treatment.
T.Being treated so kindly by people who you can tell love animals, is exactly what we were looking for when we needed a vet for our new babies! Couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable team!

M.Been going here for a few years now and I love it because they have an actually holistic approach to veterinary medicine. They'll use western/allopathic medicine when it's the best option but also use homeopathic remedies and naturopathic remedies when it's the best option or they'll use a mixture of both. I know there aren't a lot of flattering scientific reviews on homeopathy but I don't know what to tell you because the treatments have always worked wonderfully for my cats! Brett, who owns the practice, picked up on some great alternative veterinary treatments while travelling overseas and working in conservation with wild animals in Africa that he really liked that he has incorporated into his treatments because he had seen evidence of them working well. So it's good to keep an open mind because sometimes people can show you a different way of doing things medically that you wouldn't have been taught at uni that you can incorporate into your ever growing database of medical knowledge. The more treatment options you are aware of - the more wealth of choice you have to choose from if one or many remedies may not work.
What's also great is that Brett and his vet nurse who works there aren't hardcore into natural treatments and tell you that basically everything you're feeding your cat or other pet is bad for them like some people who are into natural treatments. They're all about being holistic and their opinion is that it's OK to feed your cat milk or cheese sometimes as long as it's in moderation whereas even vets who only practice western/allopathic veterinary medicine will tell you that you should NEVER feed these to your cats. Cats want treats every so often just like humans do! Donuts may not be very good for us but it'd be a very sad life without them!

K.I was so sad to see Best Scrub's strange review. Brett at Henderson Vet is the most honest and most caring Vet I have ever encountered. Ok his clinic may not be shiny and glitzy like other City Vets and he is shy and quiet. But he has an incredible way of working with animals and observing them. He also does not charge like other Vets and always tries to come up with a solution that is not expensive. I am forever grateful for his care of my 7 year old Golden Retriever, whose cruciate ligament broke 2 years ago. Brett successfully operated 2 years ago and she is still running around like a puppy today.
L.Cannot recommend Brett and Rachel at henderson vets enough. I have been in numerous times - I have been blessed with one of those dogs who has a million and one issues. My girl has had issues the whole time I've had her - I've spent thousands of dollars on all kinds of medications and treatments that did nothing for her. A simple diet change suggested by Brett has changed our lives. Something so simple, yet numerous other vets all over the city were unable to realise. She's doing a million times better now, and I trust Brett's judgement with all of my cats and dogs. Rachel on the front desk is just as amazing - always ready to roll and answer any questions we ever have, and remembers me and asks about my family whenever we go on. D.My experience with this vet clinic is one full of praise. I went there with my dog who had her SECOND CANCEROUS TUMOUR on a paw. This tumour came up exactly one month after we had had her first tumour removed along with a toe on the other paw. The nature of the strain of cancer she had was that it has the potential to pop up at any time and on any part of her body. I left with strict instructions to cut out all processed dog foods, no biscuits, no potatoes and no rice ... we changed Alley Mae onto raw meats and introduced her to two homeopathic remedies. I am delighted to say that the tumour has vanished - it went from a large grape sized bright pink bubble protruding from the pad of her paw to a tiny white scar today. Brett is an incredible vet and I can personally recommend him!
f.After going to three other vets with my problematic dog condition, he was finally diagnosed here. A simple blood test, which none of the other vets had done lead to Brett advising prior to the result he thought what was wrong.
