Exceptional service. We had a dog pass away suddenly in our family and it was too difficult for us to deal with the body. Considering this happened late at night there wasn’t really anywhere we could turn to. I found this clinic and the lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful. We took our dog to the clinic and the staff were very respectful and helpful in taking care of the body. Respect and professionalism walk hand in hand with this company.

4 hour wait. I get they had other emergencies to attend and my pet is no more important than the next but 4 hours is ridiculous. Glad they were full because I ended up finding a much cheaper option in west auckland

1 week today, I had to make the biggest decision in my life. And that was to put my Baby Cesar down!, My poor puppy. I had no choice because I couldn't afford to pay for his treatment, to keep him alive. My heart is filled with sorrow and so much guilt, for ending his life,....1 I was suppose to be watching and taking care of you my Baby Cesar!, I thought to myself, what could possibly go wrong? .....My poor baby Cesar, had broken his left back leg, by climbing up onto our outdoor patio bench chair and onto the window ledge, his leg got caught on our patio chair, This was something I witness, and I still can't believe it, My poor Baby Cesar, his whole body was dangling over the patio chair and his back leg was stuck . The crying, hurt and pain he suffered,...Oh My God!, what have I done?,...No! Not my Baby!, Not Cesar!,....I just had to get him to a vet, and fast, I had no money, on me, I told them straight out, please, help my baby!, and we can talk payments later,...it ended up being more to save him, and sadly I didn't have that kind of money on me, I so wish I had!, because now I regret my action that I've done, but in the end, they let me make 2 payments towards Cesars vet bill, Cesars vet bill will be paid in full next week. I wanted to do a petition on pet owner's who would like to have part payments towards vet bill, for those who love their pet's but can't afford payments up front,....I don't know if this is their policy or not, but I would love it if they would do part payments, towards vet Bill's, or treatment's. This would be a major help for pet owner's and take alot of stress off us!, Baby Cesar is buried in our back yard, his grave is done so Beautifully!, ...Im so sorry my baby, I was suppose to be watching and taking care of you, please forgive me!!!!.....R.I.P, my baby Cesar, I know you are!, but as for me?, I will have to live with what I done to you, for the rest of my life!...Love Mama xxx.....29/01/2021, I fully paid off my Baby Cesars vet bill,..... Unfortunately one of those places you never want to have to go, however fantastic and dedicated staff. If your regular vet is closed, this place is great.

Huge shout out to Manukau After Hours Veterinary Clinic for seeing my guinea pig with a corneal ulcer at midnight. The service was amazing and I felt welcomed and valued as a fur parent after being declined by another prominent after hours veterinary practice. We were seen promptly and the vet was very knowledgeable and gave us the medicine we needed to fix her. ❤️❤️❤️

Very Professional. Explained each step taken, concerning our Fur baby...through to examination, and care. Payment required after consultation, was explained, and thought for owner if payment seemed overwhelming. I have used Manukau After hours Vets many times over the last few years & have always been extremely pleased with the service I have received. I was in again on Thursday evening and I cannot speak highly enough of the quick and efficient care we received from the front desk. We were kept well informed throughout. Our very precious, very old Fox Terrier was off colour at dinner, poorly when we went to sleep but by 1:00 am she was beside herself. Vomiting, obvious pain and very stressed. We got to Manukau After Hours Vet about 1:45am. The Vet Nurse was bright as a button, VERY caring and efficient. The vet, Dr Asher was awesome. At the top of their professional game in the dark before dawn impressive. They did everything that was required, kept us very informed and sent us home with our precious parcel stable and comfortable and instructions for our clinic the next day. Very fair prices too. In as much as possible with a sick pet at 2:00 am, we had a blast😂This is a safe place, very professional and super caring👌

Took my dog in this evening after being attacked by another dog that roamed on to our property so I was an absolute blubbering mess when I walked in to The Vet and I was greeted by the most compassionate 2 nurses. They were amazing with my big boy and did everything they could possibly do to make sure our big boy was comfortable. The Dr on duty, she was awesome! They continuously kept us updated with all the info so that was a great bonus.Thank you guys so much for caring for our big boy Flash. Bit of a wait but complete understandable on a public holiday after hours and appreciate the options hopefully don't have to go back for anymore emergencies though but if I do this is 100% where I will be going. Amazing polite and helpful staff

They looked after our dog "Wally". At the time he needed 24 hour care. I cannot say enough at how excellent they were and Wally is now back to his normal playful self, thanks to the team.

These guys were awesome! My little bunny had complications following a spay surgery and they were incredible to deal with. The wait was a little long, but that's to be expected with an emergency service. I was so concerned that they could have gotten me to pay for just about anything, but instead they did everything the could for her and referred me to a specialist vet. They were so helpful and put mt mind at complete ease. Thanks so much!!!

Great facility for after hour service. Found prices were a bit more than expected for urgent euthanasion. Fortunately I could afford the cost to put my pet to rest while it was not in too much distress and leaving till the next day.

We had to access this emergency vet this morning after our beautiful Irish Terrier aged 15yrs needed to be euthanized. Although this broke our hearts the nurse and vet were amazing. The compassion and care given to our boy and the family who came to be present to say their goodbyes was outstanding. You guys do such awesome work and on behalf of all of our family we wish to thankyou for making one of the hardest decisions as painless as possible.

Very compassionate, very professional but like others have said, very very expensive. We went on a Sunday not realising there were other Vet clinics that were open (ours was closed and gave us this number). They did keep us informed of the rising bill but ultimately $1400 for a 40 minute cleanup of a dog bite seems excessive. My advice is definitely use them for genuine afterhours urgent cases but if your normal clinic is closed phone around others first, there are clinics open all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I will be taking this up with our vet to ensure others dont get caught.

We will always be grateful to this clinic for the care and compassionate approach towards our dog Kayla who was taken in with pancreatitis. These wonderful vets and nurses saved Kaylas life. We took our dog here late in the evening after she ate some raisins and chocolate-coated ginger lumps. They treated her quickly and professionally and she was bouncing around in no time. The staff were friendly and clearly care about the animals. It's not cheap! They also don't care for the animals beyond 8am so you have to take your pet to your normal vet for any follow-up care.

Had a very sick cat during lockdown on a Sunday, first class care..

On Sunday 10th of March, my dog, Honey, hurt her leg. I was worried it was a break, and it being a Sunday meant her normal vets at Pt Chev were closed. I am a young adult and still have difficulty navigating a situation such as a pet emergency. I phoned some places closer to where I lived (Mt Albert), but was met with some hostility. One conversation I remember in particular was when I asked if an injured leg was an emergency, since my dog was in a lot of pain but wasn't at the risk of dying. The vet's response was "I dunno, you tell me". I can only imagine they were having a stressful day, as must be par for the course of an emergency vet. Eventually I contact the Manukau vets. I have the pleasure of speaking to a lovely woman on the phone (I think her name was Ange?) and get ready to drive along with Honey. Once we're there, we wait for forty or so minutes as another animal is being looked after. After a long while, one woman walks out of a door, carrying a disassembled cat carrier. I find this unusual, until another woman walks out of the same door, carrying a box. It is a bizarre, humbling experience to watch a stranger in such an intimate moment as saying goodbye to a loved pet. Less than five minutes later, Honey and I were seen by the vet. She treated us with all the care and professionalism in the world. Hurt as she was, Honey still gave her a tail wag. I cannot imagine doing this kind of job - and I cannot imagine it being done in a more exemplary way than the Manukau Emergency vets. Thank you for the care Honey received, for the care I received, for the care that the poor little cat received before us.

For the team of vets: We had to rush our young Shih Tzu to them on morning of 19/12/15......I found that he was suffering with paralysis that was advancing quickly.....a mum and dads worst nightmare.....my husband rushed him in where he was placed in ICU and closely monitored......it was a difficult prognosis but they seemed to come to one conclusion, Botulism, although they weren't 100% sure.....the care he got was almost better than human treatment.....they kept us in contact as to his condition, however Botulism is a very serious condition and most doggies die......at 2:30am on 20/12/15 we were rung to be informed and with great tenderness from the lady vet, that our Special little boy had succumbed to this shocking disease, but passed very peacefully......my husband and I would just like to thank them all so very much for the care and tenderness they showed toward "Machete" and to us.......Roger and Deborah
