Utterly incredible service for our critically ill puppy. They undoubtedly saved her life and gave her back to us when we all feared a potential worst outcome. Their care was exemplary, can't praise too highly. Also kept us informed as to the actions they could offer and the costs involved. Very expensive but shows the true costs of medical intervention, which is disguised in the care of people.

I cannot say enough great things about this amazing team. They looked after our beloved Ragdoll Henry for 7 weeks over lockdown whilst he was undergoing treatment after a road accident. I was blown away by Sean and his team. From daily updates and photographs, to making sure he had his favourite treats and daily brush. They treat the animals like their own and we cannot thank you enough for all you have done. I know Henry wouldn’t be with us today if not for all your dedication.

your entire team is amazing. we brought our cat fatty (leo) in a couple of days ago and found out that day that we had to get him put to sleep, you took care of our boy so well. we were allowed to come back down and take him into the car for a bit to say our goodbyes and give him one last cuddle, i've had him since i was only about 3 years old and it's been a good 15 years with him now, i miss him so so much and i wish i couldve gone in with him when he was being put to sleep but i know that's not possible at the moment. we called later on to ask to get his paw prints done before he was cremated, we were told that you usually don't do them there and the crematorium place didn't do them either, but a few of your staff members ended up doing them for us anyways, they also wrote a card that a bunch of your staff signed as well, thank you all so much for taking care of leo in his last moments.

We saw the emergency vets today and Sarah who was on the front desk at the time helped us with the whole situation. The vet who did surgery on our dogs was so amazing, they were really hygienic. When we were waiting they gave us updates and explained what was happening. They gave us print outs for medication and had an itemised bill. I found the whole experience really awesome, especially given the circumstances we were there for.
Great staff, really helpful.

There are no words to express our gratitude to Sean for saving Wilbur’s life! He and his team were wonderful during this difficult and stressful time and we cannot speak highly enough of them. All in all Wilbur had to stay over a week in total at their clinic and it was a huge comfort to us knowing he was in good hands, being looked after by such kind and caring people.

So thankful to the great staff here! They looked after our dog all weekend and nursed him back to good health. Great to know there is a vet open after hours with such great staff and facilities

I received such great service here. They were so friendly and helpful and the nurse was very tentative toward my cat, spoke to him and gave him lots if pats to make him feel less anxious during the consult which I really appreciated. The obviously really care about our pets. They are expensive but no more than other after hours clinics that I have been to previously.
Thankyou so much for your help, I will definitely visit again if I need to!!

I am and will always be grateful to Dr Sean Johnson. his wife and his excellent team at NSVECC- he saved my dog Zorro's life not once but many times working in conjunction with Zorro's extraordinary specialists Dr Mark Robson & Dr Tommy Fluen. Zorro suffers from an acute case of IMHA/IMTP - auto immnune conditions. Zorro was looked after with tenderness and care that goes beyond, much beyond the call of duty. I have never known a dog to race up to a vet's door and bark to be let in. It is testament to an excellent veterinary business. To NZVECC I wish you all well - always.

Thank you to the two vets on duty on the evening of Tues 27/08 for their professionalism, compassion and patience with us during the euthanasia of our beloved 11 year old german shepard. She was an integral part of our family and we could not have asked for a more dignified and loving passing for her.

Thank you very much for looking at my cat Toby. Whilst I was unable to utilise your services, you were very helpful, reasonably priced, and went over and above what I would have expected. You also showed a very generous spirit, which I am extremely grateful for. Thanks again.

After having a bad experience with our usual vet I was extremely grateful for the care and compassion that was shared by the staff here when we needed to say goodbye to our beloved family dog.
Thank you to the team again, we truly appreciate it

The Service we received was the best we have had in this situation, the critical care team that looked after our older dog in her hours of need was amazing. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Our cat dissapeared for a couple of days and returned very sick, if it weren't for these guys we would have lost our cat. Thanks to the team for saving his life after hours.

Have had to attend here twice in the last 4 months for one of our dogs. Both times we received wonderful service, realistic timeframes and diagnosis suggestions, and what I consider reasonable prices for the services we received. Our first attendance was over a weekend after our dog's throat continued to swell up and his abscess burst (he was already on antibiotics for this after seeing his usual vet during the week prior). He required sedation, cleaning and draining of the abscess and stitches. The team was amazing, great stitches and no infection afterwards.
Unfortunately our second attendance with that dog ended up with diagnosis of a hemangiosarcoma (rapid growing tumour) which had burst and by that stage it was too late to save him so we had to say goodbye. The team were empathetic and just all around fantastic, organising cremation for us and kept our boy comfortable in his last hours. We are so grateful to them. I would recommend calling ahead prior to attending and you will be advised a time to attend so you avoid waiting in the carpark as they do get busy being one of (if not) the only emergency animal vets on the shore.
