Extremely professional and very clear on what was required for our dog. Manage the consultation extremely well for the current Covid situation by allowing you to still be part of the council even though you had to remain outside. Staff are very friendly and very comforting.

We’ve been going to this vet for about 4 years now. Our first visit since they have changed ownership was today just for annual vax for our cat. They were very busy and had a couple of emergencies in, which I and others waiting were happy to wait and patient with the situation. I checked in on arrival and was polite, the lady training someone new (who was nice) was very rude and unprofessional. I went back out to my car to wait and checked in again 30 mins later. Again the same person, just rude. The person being trained was kind and polite. Awesome service from the actual vet.

My girl Nala is 5 months and came with kennel cough when we got her. The vet (cant remember his name but he was browner skinned I think) was just fantastic with her. He came out to the car to examine her and treated her with the appropriate medication. :) thank you! And very professional clinic!!

My experience with the Vets on Swanson Rd are fantastic. Dougal and the other vet with dark hair and glasses are amazing and make my cats (and myself) feel so at ease. There is one vet however that I do not recommend you see. His name is Trevor. He took one look at my cat and told us she was obese, and wouldn’t listen to the fact that this cat has trauma relating to starvation, so as soon as we took her in she would not stop eating. He put us on a diet to basically starve her. And she became completely upset. She would hide, not play, just never move. When we started feeding her a bit more she came out of her shell. But Trevor is cruel and callous and straight up rude.

I just want to say how great Ranjit was with my cat the other day. He explained to myself and partner the treatment we needed for our cat. He explained all the options and what the cost would be allowing us to be fully aware what we were upfront for. I thought this showed us how much he cares for animals rather than just for the money. He took blood from the cat with no issue at all considering the cat isn’t the most friendly one around. I’ll be making sure if someone suggests what vets to go to Swanson is the place and ask for ranjit.

Friendly, helpful and caring staff. Our putty cat of 15 yrs plus was put down sadly for to health issues. Staff were empathetic to the situation and made a sad moment feel alright. Well it wasn't alright but they should they showed they cared. Had a distraught daughter do thank you to the staff.

It's hard to post a positive comment when your 2 recent experiences at a place have been where you had to put a pet down. Both times. :( But. The vets there were both really good. Understanding and professional. The reception people were great to deal with. And finally, they are really affordable. Which made everything else easier.

The service was fantastic. Our Appointment was for 1130 we went straight in. The Nurse were professional and the Dr was thorough and our cat who normally tries to run away from strangers was putty in his hands.

Mr. Ranjit, if spelled correctly was the person who'd provided the service for our chihuahua Ari. Although the original quote given to us over the phone wasn't correct, the service from both the 2 clinical receptionist and Dr was outstanding. Very good communication, and very professional. Facility could do with some minor maintenance to improve standards, however overall was excellent. Highly recommend.

The Veterinary staff and assistants are compassionate and supportive. They dealt with the loss of my pet and friend with great understanding and gave me the space I needed to grieve. Then they provided me with options for her burial. I will definitely use their services in the future.

I take all my animals there: cats, dogs and even rats! The vets and staff are always friendly, very knowledgeable and never try to rush you out. Prices are excellent, particularly by Auckland standards and they don't insist on doing unnecessary expensive tests like a number of other vets do. They offer a fantastic service, particularly for pet owners who dont have a never ending supply of cash.

Lovely vets and very caring. They give you the honest truth and don't try to rip you off. Recently had tonput our beautiful boy to sleep and they let us stay after hours to spend time with him which was so important to us. Only thing is when ashes arrived back they called me and said I couldn't pick them up until the next day because they were closing. I was really wanting him back as soon as he arrived but other then that you can't go wrong :) thanks Swanson vets for making the best out of a bad situation

Well it is expensive to take care of any animal. Animates would charge 85 dollar one year for flea treatment. For around 80 dollars it go flea treatment shots and got money back for hiring cage for my stray cat. My cat is chipped it acts weird I don't know if it's because of it or ptsd as the cats address is a distance from my house. Affordable and good care highly recommend cause they care about your animal and a bargain. I love that cause it allows you to take care of your pets only vet I've been to best in west which is my opinion.

Fast and efficient when we needed to get our dog, Ludo seen to. We only waited about 5 minutes. Thorough questions and carried out tests right away. Very good service. Highly recommended.

Great vets. They are super friendly here and I like how their charges are much more affordable than your average vet clinic. These guys were the cheapest is found when calling round local clinics for microchipping Our puppy. I like how they don't push as much pharma as other vets. While they do when it's necessary, they have a feel of being more holistic in their approach to animal health

Lovely little cottage like turned vet. Friendly staff who are there to build relationships. Can't quite remember the doctors name who helped out pup but he was caring, compassionate, informative and friendly. This is going to be our new Vet for our little pups.

W e have had two of our precious dogs treated by Duggal and his fantastic team over the past 2 weeks. As much as we are all so very sad losing our little Chihuahua so quickly, there are no words to express how appreciative we all are for all of the tender love and care shown to her with so much compassion and dedication. And gratitude for Duggals after hours help, advice and contact which helped her and us no end. We would say without a word of a doubt that we couldn't have found a vet clinic anywhere better for their care and we have truly never seen before a clinic with the sincerity and passion as yours. I lost my beautiful companion to a terribly aggressive cancer (Mast Cell Tumour) but not before we fought so hard to save her. Throughout the process Garry and his staff were kind. Their focus was on her, and together we walked through the valley of her decline until she finally told me she had enough. It broke my heart because on that day I had no idea it was going to be her last. I was so totally shattered. Garry kindly put her to sleep. The last thing she did was snore. These people are vets, but they are special too. Special because they care, and it shows. Garry even gave me a letter declaring how hard I tried to save her and that her care was from my heart. This was because there were people with a similar breed who didn't think I should have kept her alive so long. Wishing for a miracle (saving her) meant I had to give her all my time and money to try and save her. I found kindness in Swanson Veterinary staff, at a time when there was so little elsewhere.

I could not be happier with the service given. I have struggled to find a vet that is both compasionate and does not think owners are a cash point. An Honest vet that goes that extra mile with my little boys explaining things to them. If you have small kids and want them to be involved with caring for animals this is the one for you.

I would highly recommend Dougal and the team at Swanson Vets. We live in Kumeu but choose to travel to Swanson because the service is outstanding and standard of care is fantastic. We have 2 German Shepherds who are difficult at the vets at the best of times but Dougal has always been patient, attentive and caring with them. Now we wouldn't go anywhere else!
