I've had several cats over the years that have suffered from chronic illnesses, and with that, I've come to know many vets and clinics over that time! Hornby is a wonderful clinic as they can do such a lot on site which saves time and stress for both pet and owner! Emily is an incredible vet, by far the best I've taken my cats to. She has a nearly mystical knack for picking up on symptoms and zooming in on potential issues. My Millie has long been a very very complicated case, but Emily has always taken great care (and often gone the extra mile) to explore options and support both Millie and I on our journey. And Andrew, there is no vet that is more tender with an animal. He has an enormous heart and one of the first questions he always asks me is "how has she been, is she happy?" which is something that means such a lot and shows both Emily and Andrew have a wonderfully balanced approach to caring for animals.

For the past 11 years we have brought our dog here and every time we where treated with the upmost respect. We recently had to bring him in for the very last time and the staff very compassionate and professional. I would like to thank the team on behalf of our family we really appreciate all you have done for our Sam.

Hornby vets have been a blessing. They are very professional, empathetic, and conscious of the fact that finances can be difficult. I took my cat in for an operation and he's doing amazing now. I've never seen him so healthy and happy 😊❤ They also have some great products in their shop!

Would like to reach out with a big thank you to the whole team. I've had a couple of fur babies attend here over the years, but my latest baby jessie, a rescue at 8 years old requires a little more attention due to her attitude. I really cant fault the care given, and to top it off a well needed and beautiful manicure. Thanks team!

We had taken our dog to another vet twice to see what was wrong with his foot and it just keep getting worse. We decided to take him to Hornby vets and they diagnosed his issue on the first visit. The team a highly knowledgable and experienced.

I dont usually write review's but I feel the need to. Ive been taking my three dogs to Hornby Vets for 10 years now and every experience has been a positive one. My boys are handled with kindness and care by all staff there. I usually see Emily who is amazing at what she does! The facilities are great and always very clean. Vets are never "cheap" and I dont expect them to be but I will say in comparison to my friends who all have dogs, Hornby Vets is cheap! My Mums dog passed away recently and Hornby Vets made a horrible heartbreaking time for her stress free and smooth. I highly recommend taking your animals here if you're looking for somewhere. And staff if you read these reviews, thanks for looking after my boys Ollie, Hendrix and Beau so well for the last 10 years, you all do amazing work xo

They have the sweetest staff. My dog was neutered just recently and they have been so informative about procedures + medications administered. They handled our dog well, that he wasn't even anxious being there. I'll be taking our dog here from now on.

Weave had our dog for a long time and we trust the team at Hornby Vet. Our dog got major surgery done last year and thanks to Andrew and the team we were able to give him his life back. So grateful for them.

Great vets, pricing is very fair. I started taking my dog here because she needed something done as a pup, and she came from the spca so they sent us here. It's no where near our house, but we had a great experience here so we kept coming. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else. (we tried once to a closer vet, and it was a much lesser experience)! My dog just went because she ate something bad and was very sick, we picked her up yesterday after an overnight stay and she's a happy waggy dog again.

The care that you guys give is second to none! Thank you to all the love and care that you have all put into Leroy over these past 6 months! He loves his welcoming committee and is excited to see you all when we pull up! Your head work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed

I love taking my pooch here, shes well looked after everytime and the team are super friendly. This place was local to us but now is not. It is well worth the trip. Both Suzie and Emily are great to deal with and I can trust my dog is in good hands.

Love this vet My cat has been banned from a couple of vets in her life time. The previous vets located in Riccarton had poorly handled her and didnt believe me when i said she doesnt like being handled. Then got attacked by my girl and they blamed her and banned us. At hornby they handle her so well that shes not stressed out or angry. Susan the lady I ask for every time is amazing. She cares about my cat and for months now has helped us as we take this Journey through cancer. I recommend this vet to everyone I know. I dont think that they are over priced. They are pretty fair prices. Everyone needs to remember Vets do not get any finacial help from the government. I will always come back to this vet they have a loyal client in me.

Absolutely love these guys. I have been taking my wee Chihuahua to them from a puppy. And she has needed surgery on her back legs to correct her knee caps. They are just so caring and amazing at keeping me informed all the way through the process and what treatment my pup has needed. Definately recommend these guys to anyone looking for a vet. We find Andrew and the team at Hornby experienced, friendly and respectful to our pets and their needs. Hornby is quite far from our home but the trip is worth it knowing our pets are well examined and cared for.

Unfortunately I got bad news about my pet but the care and compassion both myself and my cat received was outstanding. When I pluck up the courage to get another pet I will happily use their services
