L.The team are all absolutely wonderful. Ian is honest, knowledgeable and very polite. Doesn't bat an eye when I ask too many questions and is genuinely there for the animals. Best vet and vet nurses I have met. They are always gentle with the animals, kind and do as much as they can to prevent stress, to both pet and their purrent! Thank you all for your wonderful work and keep it up!
T.I have been bringing my 5 year old boy here since he was young. I have always felt like the veterinarians listen to me and give good advice. I feel comfortable bringing my cat here and would feel confident to recommend any one else come here as well. they have always treated my boy well and respectfully.
E.Always kind and caring. Both Drs and vet nurses are really attentive to our needs and are great at breaking down situations and scenarios. Our poor boy had some urinary issues and I fully trust that he was in the best care available. Highly recommend this practice for anyone with a cat.

M.We have been using The Cat Vet for about 5 years now and have nothing but good things to say. Dr Ian and Dr Kate are friendly, caring, very knowledgeable and are fantastic with out two cats. All the vet nurses are excellent too and know so much and are always willing to help and provide great advice. It seems very good for the cats that they don’t have to sit in a waiting room with dogs as that used to stress out our two cats quite a bit.

d.Kumara our ginger tabby became unwell wednesday as kumara is registerd with the cat vet, we were able to get him seen that eveing Dr Ian Ross noted that kumara had a blocked bladder and commenced immediate intervention luckly he caught it early and kumara made a full recovery..many thanks to the team at the cat vet.. kumara specially!!!
D.I take my daughter there with her cat. From the waiting time I am sitting in the car I feel they are very efficient and the service is amazing. They are also very reasonable.
O.Kate came to our house today to euthanise our old cat Pumpkin. Her approach was absolutely perfect and gracious. She has been looking after both our cats for a while and we recommend this Vet practice highly.
M.A good clinic as they were flexible without fuss when I had change an appointment several times. When I did arrive on the day they took the cat straight away and were back within 10 minutes. Great no long wait in the reception area.
Car parking is off street which is very handy thre entrance is the left hand side the building.

z.My beautiful Seal Point Simease darling little lady Juliet was sadly put down today. The tears haven't stopped!! Your service & empathy was outstanding! (The best ever experienced from a vet). In particular the vet nurse & the Vet. Thank you for putting us at peace allowing Juliet to stay in my arms after her injection while she drifted off to cat heaven. It was a peaceful experience holding my little lady one last time. She will be so sadly missed. Highly Recommended.

a.Cat Vet is the best in Christchurch for cats. We have 3 cats and we had very good experience with Cat Vet. Ian is awesome with cats and he literally speaks with them and they seems to understand him and communicate back.
P.Ian is the kindest man. Recently we had to have our cat put to sleep and Ian dealt with our distress so sensitively. It is obvious he loves cats and the stress our cat felt at visits was always minimised by Ian's gentle and calm handling. You couldn't find a better vet for your cat.

The vets and nursing team are compassionate and knowledgeable. We have never before experienced the extraordinary care for our treasured kitty as we did at The Cat Vet.
The clinics atmosphere is clean, calm and welcoming. It is beautifully set-up to be 'cat friendly' from their reception lounge to their treatment rooms. Even the gardens are lovely.
The clinics team has a positive approach to cat health and welfare. They treat every patient and client with respect. Their priority at all times is the comfort of the patient especially if they have to stay overnight in their well-equipped hospital.
It is a comfort to know they also have an emergency after hours for all their registered patients.
I highly recommend The Cat Vet to all owners who want to provide the best for their cats.
N.The best vet for cats. Our boy had an abscess that wasn't healing, one trip to these guys and we knew exactly what to do, the follow up after treatment was simple and inexpensive. We'll be going here from now on for all our cats needs :)

S.Can't rate this clinic highly enough. We called at midnight on a Saturday and Ian opened up the clinic very quickly after speaking to him. He was so empathetic, explained the diagnosis and treatment so well. Very gentle with our cat the whole time and so easy to deal with. He called the following day to check on how things were going - cat is on the mend. A great experience all around - I would go so far to say the best experience we have had out of many visits to various vets.
k.Ian is the most incredible vet we have ever met. All 5 of our cats have moved to the cat vet as the whole team there is very calm, caring and know how to deal with all types of cats. Ian takes time to explain treatment options and the care there is second to none. We can’t recommend the cat vet highly enough.

The vets are world class, and in an emergency you can all at any time, 24 hours, and get a personal, professional response, a real person to consult who will see you cat if needed. The clinic and nurses are excellent. Everyone is lovely and friendly, and the clinic is modern and well equipped, but not coldly hospital-like. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

T.Loveliest vet I have met. We had to get our beautiful Lady Jupiter put down and even though he wasn't yet open or even at the clinic he came in to help us to send her on her way. She went peacefully and was treated wonderfully and the box she was brought home in was just so precious it brought us all to tears at how lovingly they took care of her body. Definitely switching vets. Best place for your cats.

M.With thanks to Dr Ian Ross, my beautiful - but very sick cat, was able to have a peaceful send off under his specialized care in a serene and stress free environment. It was only for a short time but I was very grateful for the genuine & caring service that was provided. I highly recommend this place to every cat lover.
A.One of our cats was diagnosed with IDB and our vet basically advised there was nothing to be done and should be put down if in pain. We decided to get a second opinion. This was the best thing we could ever do for our cats. Our cat was treated by Dr. Kate Arnold. This was our first experience at The Cat Vet and we were amazed at the care and dedication shown by Kate and the staff. Kate went out of her way to investigate the best possible treatment. Not only has she made a big difference to our cat’s quality of life but she still keeps in touch with us, checking on his condition. Our other male cat (kitten) was run over by a car and suffered a serious injury to his leg with nerve damage. He is being treated by Dr. Ian Ross. Ian’s treatment, care and compassion is second to none. I have never been to any vet that can compare with the treatment and experience we receive at The Cat vet. These guys are THE BEST.
V.The Cat Vet are an amazing team. They genuinely care about the cats and are fully supportive of the families. We wouldn't go anywhere else for cat care. Thank you for all your help with our furbabies.

s.Ian deals with cats with the respect they know they deserve. He is sensitive to cats individual needs.
His ability to diagnose issues and have a flexible treatment plan is impressive.
I can’t recommend Ian and his team highly enough.
K.If you love your cat/s you have to go here! Ian and Kate so obviously love cats SO much and really know what they’re talking about. They are so caring, both to the cat and to owners, and take their time talking to you. They specialise in and love cats - and it shows.
It may be cheaper for your standard annual vaccinations elsewhere, but Ian will actually do a comprehensive check up to make sure your kitty is fully ok (not just a superficial check) and make the vaccinations painless and stress free for your cat as well!
And most importantly if you do have any concerns, or something does end up wrong (touch wood), no one else will care as much as you will about your beloved kitty.
As I’ve said they may be a wee bit more expensive, but the extra time, care, information and support they provide makes them cheaper overall, and especially when it counts.
Highly recommended and so great to see people so passionate and caring about what they do.
