M.Excellent advice from C at the Kaiwharawhara store as I stumbled around shambolically throwing things into my basket for my first puppy. I left feeling like I'd been given good advice about what I needed, but crucially what I didn't need. Prices are a little higher that other outlets but can't fault the service.
D.Friendly and knowledgeable staff; we were wanting to set up a tank for tropical fish/a Beta fish only having experience with goldfish and were given lots of useful information & advice with the Fish’s best interest from Grace, without it being condescending. I definitely recommend this Animates if you are wanting to buy Fish!

It's in a really handy location as well so slowly becoming my go to for pet accessories.
C.I was here to use the dog wash for my friend's dog. It was pretty straightforward and easy to use. I appreciate that they provide aprons to minimize how we our clothes get. I also appreciate that they had a working pet scale, so I could weigh my friend's dog too.

K.The staff are friendly. I was there to set up a new tank, they check things in detail whether the tank is new or if it is cycled. Have a good selection of aquarium items and fish varieties. A good place to consider if you considering taking up the pet fish hobby

S.Super friendly and helpful staff. There are two dog wash stations by the front door and lots of pet care items to choose from. Only slightly annoying thing is the loose dog treats being in bins at dog height, so keep a tight control of your lead if your pup is food driven like mine.
R.I mostly go here to buy live flies for my frogs. They usually have a variety of live insects available and the staff are always helpful. Unfortunately live insects have a limited shelf life and so sometimes the supply is patchy.
A.We love these guys - our cat has been sick for a very long time and we use the vets here as well as purchase a fair bit of the products the store has. The staff are consistently excellent and the range of products animates have is also awesome. Very highly recommend.

T.Lovely staff working hard to give great service. They fitted us in to the vet's schedule on very short notice with an urgent dog issue. Vet prices are comparable with others', even urgent. Huge range of products and services, especially aquatic. Not one but two dog wash machines. I also love that, when they have no furry critters for sake, they promote adoption from shelters (e.g. SPCA).
C.After some rationing during Level 4, decided to partake in click and collect yesterday for some bird supplies. Placed the order just before they opened and the order was confirmed and ready within the hour. Email gave clear pick up instructions and the process was easy.

P.i took an orphaned baby quail into the store to ask for advice on feeding it. the staff were most helpful and generous with their time and advice. even got help from the vet team. happy to say the quail is now cared for at wellington bird rehab centre

L.The staff here are knowlegable about the animals for which the products are for and listen to the needs of each individual pet. The vets in this Animates are also fantastic, on the weekends there is a small additional charge but with the service we recieved it was worth it. The vet made sure to make our cat calm before even begining the check up and was very gentle when giving the injections. I would recomend the vets here to anyone with a shy animal as they treated my cat with respect and she responded really well to that!

M.Good choice of animal food and the service is efficient. Open till 6pm during the week which is helpful for those 9 to 5 workers who need to top up their animal food after work. Theres a rewards system so you always need to provide a phone number before you purchase anything which mostly doesnt hold up the rush in and get what you want experience.

A.A big store with a good range of products for your pets. Two dog wash stations in a handy location by the main entrance (which is at the back of the bright yellow building). Dog grooming is available and vet care help instore. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and you can even take your leashed pets into the store to wander around with you. A wide range of dog and cat food available in all the popular brands. This is a favourite spot for children to view the rescue kittens for sale. A good range of fish and fish accessories available. This a definitely a go to place for all your pet needs.
S.We received the best vet customer care from Jonathan :) He is very kind and knows what he's doing! Definitely willing to go back if my cats are sick again. Highly recommended isn't good enough :)
P.A big spacious store that have DIY dog grooming areas and vet clinic. The staff are friendly and can help with whatever you are looking for. The fish tank displays are inspiring with many interesting fish to choose from.

R.Staff can be a bit hard to find if you need a hand (seem to be frequently short staffed, or they're busy off the floor), but are very friendly and helpful once you locate them. Great range of products
L.Charlotte was super helpful and knowledgeable about the cat products were were looking at. She was also helpful in explaining the customer loyalty programme which we will now log into. Parking was available but busy so cars were waiting for other customers to leave. Only one rabbit in residence for grandchildren to admire.

L.I was absolutely wrapt to have a pit bull I am looking after for awhile toenails trimmed at Animates today, But also I was most impressed by the way the two quite young girls took charge and safely (for all other dogs) and efficiently got the job done without battering an eyelid. Top show 5 stars thank you so much credit where its due.

Great parking space and the hours open are just Great! They are open whenever Animates is open (which includes Sunday and Public Holidays!).
