Reviews of Sacred Earth Retreat

I am a fan of Sacred Earth center! Since the beginning of the year we’ve organised three private retreats over there. Each time magical experience. The place itself is special and located in spectacular place. The view from the temple is truly picturesque, imagine you can see the whole Karekare from the bird's-eye. Houses are well decorated, warm and cozy. I absolutely love the decorations inside, the person who did it has a great taste in design. The temple itself warm, heater is installed so, if you’re planning to host an event in colder weather it shouldn’t be a problem 😉
Another very important moment about the place is that communication is super easy, people are responding and responsive.
Highly recommend 🙌🏻

Living at the Sacred Earth Yoga- and Meditation Retreat Centre has been an enriching experience for me. The unique combination of beautiful nature, a conscious community, and the huge variety of events and classes makes life so special out here. One is surrounded by the beautiful Waitakere Ranges with lots of walking tracks, close to the ocean and yet the commodities of a city are only a short drive away.
In the last 9 months on the land I met people from all walks of life and all ages. Among them I found friends and a community of supportive, compassionate individuals with a variety of gifts. Sharing those gifts with each other in form of classes or workshops about all kinds of alternative healing methods from plant medicine to intuitive movement to painting contributes to a diversified life with lots of opportunities to learn and connect. This exchange has not only fostered personal growth but also motivated and supported me on my own path as facilitator.

I only intended on staying at Scared Earth for a couple of weeks, but ended up staying for three months in total! I think that’s testament to the beautiful, healing space that Savitri and Phil have set up here.
Set in a tropical paradise, with private access to the top of KareKare waterfall and only a short drive to the beach, Sacred Earth is a true nature lover’s dream! As a volunteer I particularly enjoyed my days out gardening on the land. The hours were beyond fair and you can clearly see that the schedule has been designed in a way to best support you, the individual, with lots of free time in the week to explore.
In addition to the powerful, healing energy of the land, one thing that really struck me when I arrived at Scared Earth was just how friendly and welcoming the people were! Everyone is on their own healing journey and ready and willing to support you in yours. I am so grateful to everyone for blessing me with their beautiful light and for holding space for me to be, breathe and shine too!
Something I find really special about Sacred Earth is that it both honours and respects the individuals' need for solitude and silence, whilst also promoting coming together as a community to help support and grow alongside one another. I felt so fortunate to have access to such a wide range of workshops and classes hosted at the beautiful temple.
To me, Sacred Earth is a true safe haven which I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a supportive, nurturing space to help hold you on your healing journey. Thank you Sacred Earth for all that you do and all that you are. You’ll always have a very dear place in my heart and I am planning to come back already!

Sacred Earth is such a divine place to host retreats and workshops and I love bringing guests here. The Savitri Temple has magnificent views of native forest all the way down to the sea and beyond to the vast horizon of sky, that give a huge sense of spaciousness and expansion, while the whenua itself has a very special energy. Simply entering the Temple space is instantly uplifting and healing. The team at Sacred Earth are wonderful to work with when organising your event – they are very responsive with communications, and great at assisting with catering (they offer delicious well priced plant-based meals) and accommodation options. Highly recommended!

Sacred Earth is now one of my favorite places in nz (north&south). The whole community is amazing. The views, the people, the yoga classes! I ended up there almost by chance, I was planning to stay one night to then keep going with my road trip but ended up staying four (the rest of my holidays)! It is the perfect place to disconnect from your routine and reconnect with yourself. The yoga classes are also open for the community, not just the residents (I strongly recommend Zo's class, it is unique. I can't describe it, you have to experience it). These classes are in a temple with sea views and amazing energy. The sunset light is magic. In the main house there's an old school bath tab and a huge fire place. There's is also a really cool walk with waterfalls and natural pools and a river that connects with the sea. Everything is super clean, the beds are very comfy and there's a full equipped kitchen with anything you might need. If you are into yoga, or nature, or meditation, or simply into reading a nice book by the fire and sleep, Sacred Earth is the place to go.
- Thank you so much for such an amazing journey. I will see you again soon!

Sacred Earth is an amazing place. It is in the hills above Karekare Beach and from so many vantage points has spectacular views of the Ocean and surrounding pristine Forrest areas.
The Sivitri Temple is a spiritual wonder. It is a mecca for Teachers of Yoga, Meditation, Qi Gong, Chanting, Kirtan, Estatic Dance, Healing and any other modalities that you care to participate it all done form a beautiful building with the best view in New Zealand.
The Complex hosts both permanent residents and volunteers in various different and wonderful buildings. The People I have met here are really special and the whole energy is of joy and loving kindness.
The Hosts Phil and Jensny Cottingham have decades of involvement with Spiritual Development and pre Covid have been organizing trips to India and the Himalayas. They have so much to share.
For many People, the Sacred Earth feels more like Home than any Home they have ever had.
Wonderful experience

It's somewhere to go where you NEED to heal and be grounded in life. And this place .. This Whenua .. my Whenua is perfect for someone looking for a safe place to call home . As the people here also come here with love and light ☺️ ... Just come see for yourself 🤣

The place with billion dollars views surrounded by the top Auckland's beaches and hike tracks.
Karekare beach is more secluded (~1h hike down the hill or ~10 mins drive).
Piha beach more social place with cafes and small food store there (15 mins drive). Loved that!

We stayed there for my sister's hens party as a lovely weekend retreat. The views are breathtaking, the acommodation lovely, and access to the most beautiful bush and beach - what more could you want?

I really love the temple space. We practiced yoga here. The energy is 'switched on' and the view is breath-taking. The space is colorful, clean and reverent.

Still here and loving it - so grateful to have landed in such a supportive, friendly and beautiful environment with it's abundance of opportunities for stillness and practice.

I came to the land in hope of a small two week retreat away from the busy city and what I found was a permanent home more awe inspiring than in my wildest dreams! Each day my heart expands in leaps of quantum healing towards more abundance, compassion, acceptance and more self-love than the day before. This is truely a divine platform custom made by the heavens for each of our healing journeys. I am eternally grateful for this land and it’s people! My life has forever been transformed & blessed.
