A.Me and a group of my mates rented Glenns retreat out over the New Years period for Northern Bass. Communication prior to the event was great, he even managed to organize us transport to an from the festival for the nights we attended.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Glenns wonderful family that stayed on site with us. It is worth noting we are all in our early 20s so we can be a bit noisy at points, however we were never once told to turn our music down or finish up our partying. We were extremely grateful for how understanding he was towards our new years partying.
The accommodation is really something special with a variety of rooms that all have a unique style spread out across the property. The property itself is beautiful with great greenery that makes you forget entirely that Auckland is only a short one and a half hours drive away. For any city dwellers that dont get to spend much time in nature, im sure this will be the escape you are looking for.
Even though we did not actually use any of the services provided by Tara retreat such as Yoga, massages ETC. I am nearly positive that you will come away satisfied. Glenn it was a pleasure to stay at your retreat and we thank you for your generous hospitality. I will be contacting you in the near future to come up and do some yoga!
A.Amazing place !! Glen is amazing and has created such a cool place. Everything is clean and tidy. So many little touches he has honestly thought of everything possible !
m.The cob cottage is a cosy little hideaway. Good place to just chill in. Away from the hussle of town life. Peaceful.
