Such an incredible atmosphere at Awhi. You walk in and feel like you’re transported to a peaceful world. I attended Yin as my first class and have found myself eager to keep showing up to the space and bring more of myself each time. The instructors are so wonderful. Every class I’ve taken has given many options for those wanting to be more advanced and those who are just learning. It’s an extremely accepting place. They offer a beautiful range of classes too, each day. The energy is unbeatable. My new safe space. If you’re new to yoga or been practicing for a long time, I’d highly recommend Awhi.

As a complete yoga n00b I had no idea what I was getting into, and I've been pleasantly surprised at every turn. The classes are fairly small so the teachers can give you the individual attention you need if you're like me and have no idea what you're doing, and they're refreshingly down to earth people and explain things super well. The teachers are all unique in their teachings but all seem to have a great intuition of just how much challenge to put into a class. Awhi is incredible! It’s everything I need in a class based practice. The space is beautiful and welcoming, the teachers are amazing, and the classes themselves allow me to access the spiritual part of yoga as well as all the physical benefits. I love the way the teachers offer and encourage modifications to suit all levels, and there is sense of taking what you need from the class rather than ‘hitting the pose’. My practice is expanding and it helps my chronic pain a lot. I only wish it was a little more in my price range, although they offer a great new student deal for the first month. I highly recommend this studio is it is available to you.

Kia ora! So happy I found Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing. I love the holistic approach and have found both my mental and physical wellbeing have improved. I've tried a range of classes and found all of them them were really accessible to all levels. I've really appreciated being encouraged to go at my own pace, and have found it's enabled me to feel more confident and grounded when trying new poses, due to feeling supported rather than pressured. I also love the use of Te Reo Māori and the words of wisdom offered throughout the classes. Definitely recommend :)

Classes: a good range of different classes from heated to non-heated to mediation, and pilates. I did the 30 day unlimited and enjoyed trying out the different classes, which is great if you don't know which class/instructor/style you enjoy. The only thing is sadly some classes just doesn't work with my work schedule. Studio/facilities: The place is clean. It has showers, change space and tea to relax after working your body. The hallway is a bit narrow and people tend to be in a rush, but you can stay a bit behind after class to let it die down. General: people are friendly and the classes are never jammed pack. No one ever told me but I think you can store your mat there as well so you don't need to carry it around.

Recently joined Awhi and am loving it so far! There’s a good range of classes all the different yoga styles you could want. I’m really enjoying the heated flow. They have an incredible intro offer ($49 for 30 days unlimited) which enables you to really get a feel for their classes, teachers and philosophy. Yoga is beyond the body or the asana, yoga is a way of life. Jase and Justine are true Yogi's that lead this incredible studio by example and their classes are next level amazing. After a yoga practice here I feel a physical, mental and emotional shift. I have been to some other yoga studios and nothing can really compare to Awhi. Kia ora koutou, I’ve been really impressed but the quality of the facilities at Awhi, it’s a very zen space to walk in to. There is great spaces for getting ready and also a lovely big wooden floor room for practicing your yoga practice. You are guided very professionally through complex poses and are surprised how well you do during a class being led by great yoga practitioners. I thoroughly enjoy every experience I have at Awhi and have been recommending to my friends to come try it for themselves. A beautiful studio space that provides a tranquil and pensive oasis right in the heart of the Wellington CBD. The studio space is gorgeous - with stunning wall art, a peaceful waiting area, and bright, light, and open studio rooms. The teachers are all really friendly and helpful and keen to chat to fresh faces. The studio's ethos is uniquely appropriate and responsive to the New Zealand context - mixing traditional yogic practice and teachings with the Māori hauora (health/wellbeing) philosophy of Te Whare Tapa Whā - and a credit to the studio's owners/facilitators. This is a true Kiwi studio. The classes themselves don't disappoint either: the studio offers a mixture of classic heated vinyasa flow, meditation, yin, and align yoga practices - there is something for every taste. Each class is both spiritually and physically uplifting, melding together the physical challenge of various postures and transitions with breathing technique and mental focus - all seamlessly combined in a way that feels effortless and genuine. A great experience all round. I finish each class feeling refreshed and centered (a rarity for me!). Will definitely aim to be involved with this studio for some time.

This is a really lovely yoga studio to go to. The staff are really friendly and the equipment is good. The location is ideal too if you work nearby. I'd recommend the yin classes if you want a good stretch and something a bit more relaxing. I've enjoyed the hot yoga classes too but this might be a bit too intense for some people. I started going to Awhi because my leg muscles have been really tight and it's helped a lot. Also find it a good way to enhance my meditation practice and manage stress. I signed up to the 30 day beginner's trial which is worth doing.

Have tried so many times to get into yoga in the past and have never really been feeling it - Awhi changed all that ! The teachers are great and the classes are well-run and quite varied. You're always encouraged to go at your own pace and modifications for each move are always suggested. It’s a really warm, friendly studio with classes that make you sweat! I love the incorporation of Te Ao Māori. The staff are clearly wonderful people who know their stuff. I do find they really pack in the classes with people though which took some getting used to for someone who likes their own space! I’d also recommend changing before you come as there is very minimal changing space.

Lovely modern yoga studio tucked away of the busy Featherston. Great selection of classes and each teacher delivers each class in their own way. I’d recommend the intro offer for new beginners, since joining I’ve been going to as many classes as I can fit into my busy schedule. Such an amazing way to unwind after work. Really friendly staff and fellow yogis and there’s a nice communal space where you can chill and drink tea whilst you wait for your class.

The Awhi heated flow classes provide a great physical challenge, an intense but soothing experience. The heat was initially tough (being new to hot yoga-take a towel into the class and drink lots of water before/during!), however I found I got more and more used to it. I have spent a long time talking about wanting to practice yoga. A friend of mine recommended Awhi yoga and described the environment there.
