Sonny is awesome. When you want a treatment that works miracles, go see Sonny. He has helped me for various problems throughout the years and he always helps me at each visit. I can’t recommend him enough. Miracle worker when western medicine doesn’t work for chronic arthritic pain. 10 years of pain gone after one visit to Sonny. Amazing. Unbelievable results.

Enlarged Prostate - Urinary Retention - this happened to me in March 2019. A friend recommended Sonny and I am so pleased she did. Through acupuncture and other changes I have managed to regain normal urinary function without recourse to any surgery or medication. Went to Sonny for back problem, he did full health check, without telling him, he picked up that I have full bladder movements at night. He asked how many times I get up at night to empty my bladder. He started my treatments and within week, my back issues was better and now I sometimes only get up at once at night for bladder movement, Before my treatment I could not even touch my toes now I have no problem touching my toes. He is very honest and will tell you, if there is anything he cannot fix, or may take longer to fix due to issue. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I also plan to go to him for regular maintenance. Very highly recommended.

Sonny is a knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful acupuncturist. He diagnoses the root problem which may be very different from the presenting symptoms and treats accordingly. He is a gentleman in my view and well worth a visit.

Sonny's treatments are so much more than acupuncture! I came to Sonny with a bouquet of symptoms and issues that I had been trying to resolve for over 10 years. I had my doubts about whether he would have the right skills to help me with my issues, after all, I had tried almost everything else. When I came I was constantly tired, lethargic, my hair was falling out in clumps, I had joint plain, low back pain, always upset tummy, depressed mood, slow and sluggish, overeating and putting on weight. After the fist treatment with Sonny and Ann, I knew in my heart, I had come to the right place so I committed to a block of 10 treatments. After 3 treatments my hair stopped falling out and the joint pain disappeared. After 6 treatments I felt stronger in my body and within myself than I have left in a very long time. I stopped overeating, my tummy felt better, my focus and energy improved from 30% to 65%, my mood improved. After 10 treatments I feel my energy is at 80% and it keeps going up. I had several treatments from an Osteopath for acute lower back pain with limited success .I was desperate to shake off the thing off and get moving again and was recommended to try Sonny's approach. I am not a fan of needles but the benefit of that initial visit was immediate. I have continued to see Sonny regularly as he has moved on trying to straighten out other aspects of my well being with a mixture of more gentle acupuncture and local manipulation. I'm 17 years old, and my parents, who have been Sonny's clients, suggested that I see him, I was apprehensive initially, but I'm glad that I agreed to see Sonny and Ann. They were brilliant at figuring out my problems. They spent a lot of time and effort fixing some of my ongoing health issues such as headaches, poor memory, lack of focus, stomach cramps, low energy, fatigue, and poor blood circulation. Sonny and Ann takes a holistic approach to treat their patients; they were very good at communicating about the treatments they were going to use on me. My dance teachers have noticed a huge improvement in my body posture, balance and energy since I've started acupuncture treatment. They are caring and constantly reassuring me about my progress.

My initial visit was a result of extreme tinnitus, within 1/2hr the very high pitched screaming had disappear. My other problem was a sore shoulder and had limited rotation. He said the tinnitus and shoulder was caused by the same problem, an unbalanced stance and as follows. Having suffered from gout for 20+years my big toes don't curl, my left leg was about 7mm longer, the result of the pelvic area being out of alignment. He has balanced my stance and the shoulder pain has dropped by at least a half. This has happened over 2 weeks. Highly recommended Dr Sonny for his holistic approach to medicine. Dr Sonny deals with the cause of the sore shoulder, feet and balance.

I went to see Sonny for a medial mensicus tear in my left knee and chronic sciatica in my right hip. I had been having physiotherapy for both for about 3 months and had made some progress, but it was very slow. A work colleague recommended Sonny to me after he had treated her successfully for extreme chronic sciatic pain. Not knowing much about acupuncture, I was a little skeptical at first. However, it only took a couple of treatments before I started to feel a big improvement in both my kneed and hip. Sonny's methods include more than just acupuncture. He tailors his treatments to specific needs. I have been seeing Sonny now for about 6 weeks. I no longer have any pain in my knee and the sciatica is all but gone. During my time with Sonny he has been kind, respectful and professional. I would highly recommend him for any ailment - acute or chronic.

I visited Sonny's Acupuncture to seek help with my back, neck and shoulder pain which I've had for many years due to bad postures and past injuries. My pain was so bad to the point that I couldn't sleep more than a few hours, let alone through the night and my fingers were getting numb. I've visited a dozen physio therapists throughout Auckland before Sonny's Acupuncture. They could provide a temporary pain relief, but it always came back as soon as I stopped the sessions and the pains always got worse when it came back. Therefore, I was skeptical when I first visited Sonny's Acupuncture, but my pain was greatly reduced and I could see other improvement such as better digestion, blood circulation, less allergic reaction, more energy, less irritability etc. Sonny has been very compassionate, kind, knowledgeable and professional. He always provides me options and explanations behind his approach and make sure I am comfortable with the procedure. I highly reocmmend Sonny's Acupuncture!

Recommendation for Acupuncture to Treat Plantar Fasciitis and so much more This is from my wife Rachel: I am a 38 year old mum of 4 and I had been suffering from painful Plantar Fasciitits in my heals for a year. Every morning I'd wince as I got out of bed and put my feet on the floor, then I'd walk downstairs in absolute agony. I could barely touch my heels because of the pain. Even while lying down my feet still hurt. My husband made me make an appointment with Dr. Sonny because he had had a lot of success with acupuncture for back problems, intestinal inflammation and sciatica. Dr Sonny used needle-knife acupuncture to treat my heals. Within 6 sessions my left foot was completely healed, my right foot was much reduced in pain.I required a few more sessions for my right foot, plus some orthopedic shoes, then my right foot was completed healed too. I am so pleased with the treatment. Western Doctors could only offer me anti-inflammatories and pain-relief medication, but they could not treat the actual problem. I am happy I went to Dr Sonny. This is what happened: I had finished a workout, had a cold drink after then later a bit of dinner. My stomach started to go mad. For the next two days I could barely walk and lay in bed in agony. My wife took me to a nearby A&E where they took all sorts of tests believing that I had constipation. Well after about 9 hours I gave up still in agony and walked out (2am) The next day I thought why not try Sonny. Barely being able to stand up straight let alone walk, I entered the clinic. Sonny gave me some strange herbal medicine helped by his lovely wife. Oh my, within 5 minutes my stomach had settled. I had just Fractured 2 metatarsals in my right foot. With wearing my moon boot and crutches i ended up putting my back out. Within one treatment the severity of my pain was gone. After discarding my moon boot i had quite a bad limp. Over the course of treatment my limp was reduced to nearly nothing. Probably would have completely gone if i hadn't slipped down some stairs. Sonny was also able to see that my posture was not quite right so this was also amended. With an additional treatment in general well being i had a great experience over the course of treatment and thoroughly recommend.
