T.What a great bunch of people running this place. So friendly and understanding that our little one who is on the spectrum might get frightened once the train moves.
They advised us which train would be most suitable for a first ride and were willing to stop the train if needed. The conductor was nice enough to let our son sit in the driver seat afterwards.
Our son loves trains, but he got a fright the last time we tried elsewhere, so we had been building up to this ride. Today we had a successful ride, so we have a very happy 4yr old.

K.Love this place. We go each Waitangi day when it is free for special needs kids. The volunteers are fabulous people and I love to see the kids smiling so much. A very enjoyable day.

N.Great for kids, have toilet facility on site. $2 per ride. Under 2 goes free. They sell soft drink and ice blocks. Large picnic area. I found People celebrate kids birthday in the picnic area.
Z.Great fun place to take the kids to. Although adults enjoy it just as much. 2 tracks available, the hill and tunnel track snd the track that goes around the park. I do enjoy going through the tunnel with a steam train as you get to feel the steam in your face as you go through. The park track is really long and fun too. Open sundays from 11 to 3pm.

l.We loved it! Had our daughters birthday party today at the park and added bonus of train rides. What kid both young and old doesn't like trains! Definitely recommend. Brilliant day or few hours out with the fam.
C.Good for a fun family day out. Loads of parking. It is inexpensive per ride and under two's ride free on the loco's. Take your own picnic and gazebo. The miniture trains are impressive and the steam train will capture the heart of any loco enthusiast.

N.We held our son's 3rd birthday here, what a fantastic day out. He and all his friends/family had an amazing time and even the adults enjoyed their train rides. We expected to be there for a couple of hours, we ended up staying from the time they opened until the time they closed. It has two different tracks, one includes a tunnel, one around a big park. Highly recommend taking your little ones here.

R.Great miniature rail. Can get multi trip tickets and ride a few times. Great for the kids. There are two lines one around the park and one with a tunnel so good idea to try both.
D.Such a cool way to spend a Sunday morning. Very well priced and such friendly service. Also a good venue for a birthday party. It pays to check the Facebook page if the weather is not the best. They update closures by 10am
B.A fun day for the whole family. Ride the trains, see the steam engines being prepared for the day. Friendly volunteer staff will help you. Eftpos is available.
Other models available depending on whose there. The smallest engines fit inside a shoebox, and can haul 3 kiddies. The biggest engines weigh about 1 ton and can haul 6 cars with ease.
Picnic facilities abound. Arrange with the club for birthday parties well in advance - at least 2 weeks notice required.
