C.We adopted mashmellow about 4 weeks ago when we got her she was fully potty trained and very cuddly and loved to play with her toys she likes to think she’s a big kitty but really out other 2 cats are twice as big as her she loves to play with them all the time we have changed her name to Millie cause she’s a very silly kitten that is full of energy but after a hour she’s fast asleep on my bed with me I would 100% adopted from then again
M.They do an amazing job and we've fostered many puppies from there and adopted a couple...
P.We came to find our new special friend and left with Miri (now known as Gracie). She is so inquisitive and cuddly and we're in love with her

J.Rafiki’s first real home. Thank you team for taking such good care of him when he was a kitten. The SPCA team are wonderful here, they made sure we had everything we needed to give Raffy his best life. If you can buy a rescue, do it! They are so worth it - just look at this guy!

Our Simba recently passed and we wanted 2 bonded cats to keep each other company and to play together if we are out.
Gracie and Ellie were 2 sisters only 6 months old, but already housetrained, vaccinated, etc, etc and very friendly.
They settled in very quickly and now they're just part of the family.
Rescued 2 animals for pets, now maybe it's your turn...

M.I loved the SPCA Auckland centre. It's a very good place to go and visit very cute pets and adopt them. People couldn't be more kind and helpful. They also take very good care of the animals.

T.I have been to the SPCA hospital/clinic several times to take homeless cats and kittens that I caught in my neighbourhood for surrender.
The SPCA is a lifesaving service for unwanted and homeless animals, and I appreaciate the work they do. They are at the top of my list for yearly donations.
W.Very caring staff for the animals. We where so rapt that SPCA Auckland took our dog we just couldn't control when out for a walk. Very lovely dog very excited. Hope you found a lovely adopting parents for her.
A.Got my beautiful fur baby from our friends at the SPCA and was very pleased with their professionalism and customer service.
H.When I adopted my kitten last year August he had a eye missing. After two weeks he got a absess in the eye I took him to Great South Vets they took him to the back to see wats wrong returning him wit a bleeding eye saying it opened on its own and all is ok. The next day they eye opened completely I returned him to Great South Vets and the guy that helped us was definatly not handling him with care they are not treating animals with care there. I returned to the SPCA and they helped me with no issues.
They got him sorted and stitched him up again and he's been all good since.
The team @ SPCA really cares for the
animals there and has a passion to help the animals coming in.

Since the SPCA don't provide Vet service to the public due to the amount of animals they already look after the next best place I can highly recommend is CareVets in Mnt Wellington they are also very caring towards the animals like the team from the SPCA.
S.These people are the angels of the animals. They are the most caring understanding people you could wish for doing a very important and selfless job caring for animals in need. If you are considering getting a animal please give them a call first as they have so many beautiful animals needing a good home. Remember during Covid you will need to make an appointment before going.
L.We visited this place for some information about cat's vs kittens.
The receptionist was fantastic and found us a cat staff member to speak with us (even though they were getting ready for feeding) the lady gave us plenty of her time and some excellent advice.
Both my husband and I were really impressed and I learnt some interesting facts too, which has made our decision a lot easier.
They apparently have a lot of information on the website and as well as cat's for adoption, they have information about each animal and their traits and needs.

No small dogs for rehoming available. This makes it a seller's market. Beware of puppy farming and scammers!

R.We adopted a Cat - Snoopy - Moochee 8 yrs ago. He was a very shy traumatized boy.
Now, he is a very settled loving pet. He is still shy with men which tells a story.
But, he loves his Mum.
Totally happy with this adoption. He lives on 15 acres, plenty of space for hunting loves rabbits, to ear. Does a good job of pest control.

N.This place is worth way more than just a 5 star rating here. From start to finish, everybody involved in the adoption process (a kitten for us) cares deeply. The first kitten we chose ended up being quite sickly and ineligible for adoption, resulting in an incredibly generous allocation of staff to help us pick a new kitten the following weekend. Seriously, 18/5 stars minimum and please bring them any spare blankets and pet toys you can.
B.We were very impressed with this SPCA. Friendly and caring staff, clean and bright. The rescued pets are obviously very well cared for and the staff were delighted when we took a food donation. Please adopt, don't shop! ❤❤❤
B.Yet again SPCA have helped. We rescued some wild kittens that had issues with their eyes. After 2 and half months and being let down by a local rescue, SPCA took them. They became the sweetest kittens so I hope they find great homes.
A.We adopted our cat there in September 2018. Everyone was very helpful, kind and professional. They offer a complete service. The cat was dissex, toilet trained and had almost all vaccines. They also gave us his blankets and toys. An amazing organisation!
A.Some staff are nice whereas there a few rude people. Its puts you off from adopting from them. As they charge quite a bit and ask ridiculous questions. May as well go to trade me or other organizations where you can adopt a pet and their more friendly and cheaper and the whole point of it giving an animal a life. My experience with SPCA was not good.

R.The SPCA do so much to assist helpless animals against the cruelty of humans who feel no empathy for them and who do not believe that animals feel emotion, just as humans do. They have different personalities just as humans have. I donate as much as I can, as often as I can to help the SPCA in their endeavours but often thankless tasks to help all types of animals. There is no discrimination, just love and support.
I admire all who work tirelessly to prosecute those who would deliberately cause harm and distress to any of God's creatures.
R.These guys are amazing. Cannot fault the effort that they make to ensure animal welfare is a priority. It is really sad if you see someone bring a loved pet in for the final visit, but they do everything with care and respect. Don't scrooge if you see a fundraiser.
T.Staff is super helpful and knowledgable. They really want to find the right home for each dog and make sure that you know what you are getting into. The dog area is very nice, two dogs to a pen and you can tell how much they care about their animals' well-being.

M.Animals are well looked after by volunteers. Wanted to take the whole lot home! Kennels for dogs make it a bit hard to see them when they go way up the back - but otherwise a great centre for poor animals that need New homes!

Consider adopting before buying from a pet shop. You can tell from the staff that they genuinely love animals and want the best for them!
S.Come on weekdays for maximum choice of animals, weekends are when most are adopted . they always appreciate new volunteers if you have any spare time to help the animals . they take good care to ensure the health of animals . remember to adopt not buy, you save a life, and mix breeds are much healthier than poor sickly pure breed, due to humans forcing them into small gene pools
B.Lovely clean facilities, all animals looked happy and plenty of restrictions in place to stop people touching the animals unnecessarily which was nice. Staff were very friendly and asked if we needed assistance in each new area.
T.Helpful friendly staff, who provided me with some equipment, food and tonnes of advice about caring for rabbits. This will be my first stop in adopting a new pet in future!
C.This SPCA is really amazing to look around and see how many cats kittens dog's and puppies they have rescued and are looking after to getting them ready for adoption. It's also sad that people leave their pets to wander the street's and get hurt.

T.Always like visiting the SPCA but they seem to have very few cats nowadays, possibly because a lot of the pet shops take them and sell them as rescue cats. As long as they end up in a good home, I guess is the main thing.

T.Thumbs up for standing against 1080 poison. It is banned everywhere else yet "first world" NZ keeps throwing it around like water. Full support of SPCA. The biggest threat to birds and the environment is humans. 1080 is inhumane and testifies of stupidity, yet even 3d world countries have banned it!!!

B.Lost my bunny and found her listed on SPCA lost and found. The team here took great care of her, flea treatment, annual injection and took care of all her matted fur. Gave me heaps of info and advice on securing bunny enclosure, diet, grooming etc. Bethany was awesome, she even gave me the proper grooming brushes and recorded video of how to groom properly matted fur. My bunny came back happy, healthy and fur looking fresh and smooth. Thanks so much 🤗🤗🤗
