An extremely informative session delivered with precise information, expertise, empathy, and with totally mind blowing knowledge, by a very passionate and caring presenter. Everyone should attend a course to open up their eyes to what can/has/does happen, and gain even just a small amount of knowledge (planting the seed), so that we can stand up and prevent our tamariki becoming victims for life.

Very impressed with the e-course. The information was very clear and the tools and skills that I have taken away from it will be very valuable in not only my practice as a Health Professional but also as a parent and member in the community. I did find it emotionally challenging at times and needed to take a small break and come back to it but it is such important information to learn whether it felt comfortable or not. I have huge respect for all those professionals who work in any Child Protection Services. This is an excellent resource. Thank you for the opportunity to do this RHMC.

It was a very informative webinar. Obviously there was a lot to cover but it was done well. The information provided was clear and the presenter was very easy to listen to. I especially enjoyed the breakout room part. Could have chatted for a lot longer!

This course gave me a better understanding of how childs protection works in our country. It also gave me a great insight on how things operate and gave me the knowledge that I can use not only at work but in the community.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the Safeguarding Children course and thought it was presented well, I did not appreciate being asked at the beginning to repeat with the group a Maori prayer? poem?, whatever it was. I have no problem with the Maori or their language, but since I do not speak it or know it I don't think it should ever be exclusively used with no English translation being presented along side of it. I had no idea what we were going to be saying and I will not be blindly led to chant or repeat something that I may or may not agree with. Had I been able to see the English translation I may have been happy to go along with it and repeat it. Please consider offering English translations when displaying Maori so we can benefit from its meaning. Otherwise, it is completely useless and means nothing to us who don't know Maori language!

Great insights of how to approach abuse and neglect situations and as a collective how much more the impact will be in reducing abuse or neglect for our tamariki and rangatahi across Aotearoa

Absolutely loved this presentation and the information provided. It was very clear.
I'm a slow processor so more time to discuss specific scenarios in our context and guidance from the facilitator would be great.
Thank you for providing this PLD for our team.

It was very good for first time Social Workers starting out in their work. Information already known with experience Social Workers. We kept on loosing sound and because of the slides in front of us we could keep up with information.
Very well done considering.
