H.The best mechanics I've been to since I've been driving in the last 20 years. Have been with Craig and Ellerslie automotive for the last 5 years. Although I live 12km away, I still go here to get mine and my wifes car serviced and worked on. Craig is the owner of the family owned business. He and and his team always gives me affordable options regarding anything needing work on with our vehicles. My best mate is a mechanic in another city. He looked over the vehicle history of a previous vehicle (mechanics bills) Ellerslie Automotive and another business. He told me the other business was double charging me for a set of brakes on one bill and various items. He looked at Ellerslie automotive and picked up that the person and company has been in operation for many years, the itemized list of work was honest, in his opinion!

T.I have taken all of my vehicles here and have been happy every time. My BMW was making a suspect noise and a light on the dash indicated an engine fault. They could have easily made heaps of money off of me but instead they cleared the code and there was nothing wring with the car except i didn't put the oil cap on properly. Didn't even charge me!

J.My absolute favorite mechanic, Craig is a wizard with a spanner and wouldn't want anybody else working under the hood of my beast car. Also a lovely and friendly front office lady Paula who sends me courteous reminders about my wof being due.
J.My first visit was last Thur following my friend's advice and I was welcomed by Paula's congenial smile (at reception) and Craig's sense of humour (manager of the place, I think). Craig provided a transparent and candid advice on my car's tires which put a nice ending to my hectic day at work. A testimony to 'good service does make a difference'!!
M.Excellent service and diagnostic from this team for my VW Golf! My father used to always repair and service my car as he has a VW/Audi dealership and garage but I moved to NZ. So having someone like Craig knowing his stuff, being very positive and honest and also coming up with the same tricks as my dad was really reassuring. I’m really thankful for him taking the time to explain things to me and being so customer focused. I will most definitely be back when my Golf needs another WOF. Outstanding service and would absolutely recommend - no need to go to your Euro dealership/garage when these guys do it quicker and better.

P.We've been taking all of our cars for over 12 years to Ellerslie Autos. Craig and team are so easy to deal with and nothing is an issue. Paula is superb with organising any additional requirements. From standard regular service to recent clutch replacement they've done it all and we always check in with Craig first before purchasing any tyres or even to get his professional advise with pending car purchases

M.Awesome service. Often have appointments at short notice, and the price and customer service is always spot on. Very good at laying out all options and explaining the pricing, and offer good quality parts. I never feel ripped off (unlike some other places!) and they are always my first port of call for routine services as well as any problems that crop up. Thanks guys!
K.Friendly team and efficient service at very reasonable prices. Craig always goes out of his way to explain what is happening and offers all available options for repairs. If he can't fix a specialised problem he will find someone reputable who will. I'm moving out of area soon but I will always bring my car here as I know I'm getting genuine service and advice.

N.Needed a new mechanic as i thought my last one was a bit of a scam, came here and they were excellent. Serviced and repaired my car, helped me out with a small issue with my oil drip stick quickly while i waited. They were all extremly professional and very approachable, i will keep coming here and would definitely recommend it to everyone and anyone who needs a good trustworthy mechanic.

T.My bmw started flashing an alert on the dash so I pulled over and asked ellerslie automotive to check it for me- at no notice they checked it straight away and when they found no fault they didn’t even charge me! Other mechanics would charge at least $40 to check the electrical dash. So they were very kind and helpful. Great service, great team
L.I was recommended them and have not changed since. When they need to source parts they look for the best match for me, both in quality and cost. They don't recommend unnecessary work, are great at communicating and fast (although sometimes very busy!).

d.I've had cars on and off for 20 years and generally speaking mechanics I have used have done the job, I've paid and both parties are happy. I have used Craig and team at ellerslie autos for over a year now getting a few different pieces of work done. I dont say this lightly but these guys are an absolute class apart. From the pleasant receptionist through to the after care Craig supplied for the work he has done. means they are second to none.
if you need a mechanic, use these guys with absolute no fear of being scammed or work being suggested that is not warranted.

A.I had a tyre puncture in my Jaguar. Initially i took it to the authorised Jaguar dealership in Auckland who advised that i would need a new tyre. This seemed odd to me so i called Ellerslie Automotive due to their proximity to my work, and very cheerful lady on the phone told me to bring it in and they would have it sorted within a few hours. True to their word it was repaired and ready just a few hours later, and it only cost $25!
V.Had a warning light show up on dashboard, they sorted it quickly with minimum fuss.
M.I went in to have my car looked at as it was making a loud clunking noise when the engine warmed up. Initially i thought it would be a significant amount of money. The team looked at the car found the cause (cracked oil filter) replaced the filter and changed the oil. Cost me no where near what I thought and I was extremely glad for the honesty as I thought it would have been alot more expensive . Will defiantly be back
