J.Dante called ahead, arrived on time. Checked he could get the part I needed and did a really good job of replacing the alternator. No hassles and all done within a couple of hours. Yassss no hassles to get the car towed and organizing pickup from a garage. Plus he gave some good advice on car maintenance. Stellar!

C.Our car wouldn’t start and I thought it would take ages to sort out. Within half an hour of phoning Hometune, Rod was at our house and he quickly diagnosed a problem with the starter motor. He then sourced a replacement for a reasonable price, went and got it and installed it right there and then. In the space of two and a half hours we went from woah to go. Fantastic service, thanks!
D.I have used them for many years. The mechanics are always on time polite and do a great job. I get my car serviced and WOF and its always done in a fast and timely manner. The place I used before Hometune were far dearer with their prices. If you are thinking of using Hometune give it a try you wont be disappointed an all done in the convenience of your own home. Highly recommended.
B.I had an issue with my newly bought car from a dealership and they sent Rod from Hometune in Auckland to come out and have a look. He was professional, friendly, communicative and always on time as he inspected my car, test drove it and took it to their garage to be fixed all on several occasions, but I never felt inconvenienced! He explained the issue with my car clearly too. They even left a “thank you” cookie in my car when he returned it all fixed! Can’t recommend them enough and will happily return to get WOF/ services in the future.

BIG tick for Rod (the mechanic) that explains things clearly and BIG tick you had the Parts to install in same day. Tick tick tick!
My car is working again and I couldn't be HAPPIER with the whole process! I've now started telling everyone about Hometune. Much like Uber was for taxis etc, I can see Hometune being an INDUSTRY DISRUPTER but in a great way!
Never should I go back to traditional mechanic stores HOMETUNE were the COMPLETE OPPOSITE to my past experiences with car technicians, and really, your mechanics can come on site??! WOW!!! Talk about convenience!!!

R.My car would not start and I also got a full service at the same time. All staff were extremely friendly, professional and courteous. The work was completed quickly and I was updated on the progress and costs. I suspect that most people who have a great experience don't bother to submit a review, but can guess those who were less than satisfied made sure they did, hence what appears as a lopsided number of reviews that are less than favorable. I was very pleased. Highly recommend!
N.Had a breakdown and some other issues with the car a week or so ago. Rod from Hometunw came for rescue, great to deal with, very knowledgeable. Everything was done on time and to a high level of workmanship!

R.So I had one of their team members to service my van for oil and filter change, needless to say the service I received was amazing. Quick, on time, professional service, and on top of it, no hidden cost - what they quote is what you pay. Very highly recommended, especially for busy people like me who is always on the go.

S.I took my range rover in last week for a full service and it was finished in a day! Hometune is easily the best mechanics that i've been to. They have wonderful staff, who were very professional. I highly recommend them. I had Grant carry out the service and found him to be helpful and make my experience so easy. Very, very impressed!
G.Excellent service from start to finish. My car broke down on a Saturday afternoon but that was no problem for Hometune. I was able to deliver it to the workshop and they started fixing it up on the Sunday. Plenty of communication from the mechanics and staff. Friendly and knowledgeable.

E.A great experience from the first call. I have used them a few times for an 'at-home' service and warrant of fitness for my motorbike. Fast, efficient, and well priced. Communicated with met throughout both experiences to make sure I was okay with all the things they needed to do so when it came to the bill, I wasn't shocked. Will use again for sure!
N.Don't know what's with all the negative reviews... My experience was great!! Of course, I did read reviews first before I had my car (Golf GTI MK6) sent in for a carbon clean. I always take reviews I read with a pinch of salt. Needless to say, the result of the carbon clean was amazing! Idle has become smoother, response is better, overall driving experience is a plus!! I couldn't help myself but to take it for a random drive around just to feel the difference after the carbon clean.
The technician also provided really in-depth insights and the guys were easy to deal with. Had no issues at all.
C.My car broke down on the side of the road recently. Luckily it was close to work. A small push and it was parked safely. One call to Hometune and the mechanic was at my work within a few hours. Problem diagnosed and fixed. The service was excellent, convenient (as I did not miss any work) and cost effective. I will certain call on Hometune next time I have car issues.

The work was done well: quickly, thoroughly and with sound advise.

C.We come across some great customer service nowadays but when it comes to my car, Hometune – Eden Terrace, is my choice and has been for many years.
I feel confident to say that I know what good customer service should be, and that is what Hometune is all about.
From the initial telephone call, when dropping your car off, during the service and through to the actual collection of your vehicle – the service provider/customer relationship is at all times cheerful and informative. I have also used Hometune’s mobile service which is to the same standard.
I always drive away feeling confident that my vehicle has been looked at by a professional and thus my vehicle is safe – this is of the utmost importance to me!
I sometimes think, “ouch” that was expensive when paying the bill but I suppose if you see the best you have to expect to pay a little more.
It goes without saying, that I am very happy to, and do, recommend Hometune – Eden Terrace for all your car service needs.
M.Hometune were able to sort my car out the very next day after ringing and they even sorted out my warrant for free as part of the service. The mechanic was excellent. He didn't do any unauthorised work and kept me completely informed as to what would be required in the future. All this, and at home too!
A.I have a European vehicle - Landrover to be exact and I was sceptical initially about using Hometune. I was wrong. They are reasonably priced given they can perform most repairs onsite. The mechanic I had was excellent in his diagnosis and his explanation of the faults to me. There is no obligation to proceed with repair and you can just pay for the assessment (usually 30 mins to an hour).
I had to get parts imported and Hometune were good enough to hold off charges till full repairs had taken place (3 weeks). I would definitely use them again. Based on reviews from a year ago, it seems they have certainly lifted their game.
D.I called out hometune for air con gas degas and refill. Avi came on time as stated and professionally did the job. Only a bit of misunderstanding on quotation. Had to pay more than anticipated. But no regrets. Shall Always recommend and use.
m.Glad that HomeTune were open on a Saturday when my car broke down! I highly recommend their friendly team and professional service. Very happy also that they offered a 10% senior discount on the final bill.
Y.5 stars for that Asian guy who fixed my car, excellent customer service and he explained me everything whatever the issue was and he seemed very knowledgeable!
3 star for the cost though, I think they are overpriced a bit.
S.I have never used Hometune before but can't say enough about the excellent service the mechanicdid on my car. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services. Much easier than going to a garage.
G.My car was broken into at the weekend. It was immobilised by severe damage to the ignition. Hometune came to our place (Herne Bay) very quickly and had the car back in running order a day or so later. This helped us hugely as we were due to travel to Wellington the next day. They were incredibly professional in every respect. I thoroughly recommend them to any motorist.

C.I am happy to recommend Hometune Mobile Mechanics to anyone who requires this service. I am impressed with the highly professional way that it was carried out. While I would not describe the service as cheap I do believe that it is good value for money. I have used Hometune for some years and they have always performed as advertised.
S.Hometune sent me an email reminder my WOF was about to expire and six monthly service was due.Found an electrical fault , a new part was sourced overnight, installed and all within quote with good communication throughout.Cars of any age and make become expensive to maintain. But I think Hometune do a good job by giving timely and sensible mechanical advice. A great customer service everytime and they can come to your home or office. Have been using Hometune for 10 years and recommend them.
G.I'm restoring a 1970 VW Beetle and the headlights and windshield wipers had me stumped so decided to call in Hometune. Avineshwar showed up to do the work and to say he was a total pro is an understatement. Despite being such an old car he was able to identify, fix and even improvise some new parts on the spot to get it all working. Cannot recommend this guy highly enough.
S.I went for WOF. My experience was so good. Their staff is really professional. Charge only little extra but happy to pay because there was no frauds and extra charge like others shops(last time one of the WOF shop gave me estimation of $1600 for WOF and then I went to VTNZ and there was no issue at all). Really happy with service and save lots of time. Highly recommend.

S.I've dealt with Hometune for a while. Before dealing with them anytime I needed a WOF, service etc I would have to arrange it around work and it was a hassle.
Now I just call Hometune. Someone comes to my house, sorts out the car and let me know what I need to know.
