My family have used Main Autocentre a number of times over the last 15 years and its always a consistent quality and friendly experience from start to finish. There latest job they did for me was replacing and painting the damaged bumper on my SUV( thank you daughter!!). Dropped it in Monday morning back Tuesday pm, plus my car had a full valet inside and out. That came complete with a free courtesy car while mine was being fixed. Lots of panel shops promise what Main do but just don't deliver. All their staff from receptionist to foreman, panel beaters are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and you feel like a valued customer. A particular nice touch was when I took my car in for assessment their foreman(Jordan?) fixed a piece of door trim that was unrelated to my repair at no charge. That's called going the extra mile. I suppose that's why I've used them 15 years and recommended them to heaps of friends and family. Keep up the good work!

First of all, the work done on my car door was perfect. The inside of my car was cleaned with no dust. The worker used a plastic sheet on the driver's seat. And Catrina the receptionist was smiling all the time and well spoken and very friendly: that's what I call customer service. For panel beating work: I would highly recommend Main Autocentre. This is the second time we are using that company.

Our car was hit while parked up and had some damage, this was covered by insurance. After hearing good things about Main Auto Center we went with them, our car is not a common model, but they sourced the parts for replacement promptly. The job they done was excellent and far exceeded our expectations, it came back looking a lot newer than went in, outside, inside, the tyres were even cleaned! The turnaround time was excellent. I had a badly cracked front bumper and a significant dent on the boot lid on a car I just bought. Rob was great and gave an accurate estimate outlining my options as my job was not insurance. I ended up going with a repair of the bumper rather than a full replacement and the work done was exceeded my expectations - Rob and the team even adjusted the front lip slightly to avoid a lot of the scrapes that would have caused the damage in the first place and it really worked car almost never scrapes on low clearance. Would come back for sure

My daughter, her car and a post had a disagreement and the car needed a new wing mirror. The team at Main organised a replacement mirror, sprayed it to match the colour of the car, fitted it and all for a great price and in a timely manor. Would recommend.

Main AutoCentre fixed dents & scratches on my car doors & windows. Competitive pricing but i chose them because their website was very informative, their customer service was friendly and helpful and they were patient while i sorted out insurance stuff. They gave me a loan car to drive and also cleaned my car which was a bonus. They are very popular so they are busy too. I waited longer than anticipated but stil give them 5 stars!

Failed the WOF because of the rusty chassis & boots. Got a quote from these guys, so I dropped off my car to them and they did an excellent job! Reasonably priced and the result exceeds my expectation. They are nice and friendly, patiently explaining what happen to the car and how to fix it. I recently had my car repaired through insurance at Main Autocentre. Had read many great reviews on them before finally deciding to get my car fixed here and I'm so glad i did. Staff are very friendly (especially the receptionist). Took my car in on Monday and got it back same week Friday. My insurance company was not able to provide me a vehicle although i was entitled to one under my cover. I called Main Autocentre Car Repairs Panel Beater about my insurance company not being able to assist me with a vehicle and asked to take my car back and replacing the tyre (as the damages made to my vehicle was panel work) and I would drop it off when they start repairs. Although they didnt need to offer me a vehicle (until they start repairs) they kindly offer to give me a loan vehicle for 12 days. They definitely went over and beyond to assist me when this wasn't their problem to sort especially Alf from the Panel and Beater side. Thanks team.

First time getting my car fixed at Main Auto, all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Got my car back so quickly, the whole process was hassle free. from my experience, I always expect bit delay from garages in regarding to paper work and repair. However, I had everything sorted no more than 20 minutes and my care was ready the next day. (it was actually accident repair not general servicing, so I would consider it is real quick). The repair was perfectly done and I was really happy with it. Thank you again Glen and Kim. definitely going back again if my car needs fixing in the future.

Literally the BEST service. The staff are so friendly and they do their best to repair it as cheap as possible for you. I went to a few placed to get quotes and Main Auto came back the most affordable by a country mile (really appreciate not being ripped off as a young woman who doesn't know much about cars) Would go back to them in a heart beat. Picked this place based on the reviews and boy, hard to be disappointed. Brought my car in for front bumper replacement. There was a delay with parts arriving on time and having to reschedule a week out, but totally understandable. Free use of the courtesy car is great add on that allows me to get on with day. The small detail with using protective sheets on the driver seat and mat really shows the effort and care these guys puts in. When the work is done, the car is well presented and clean. Kim has been excellent and pleasant to deal with and kept me up to date on progress without any hassle. Keep up the good work!

This place is awesome!!! they greeted us as long lost friends, took photos to lessen the time frame and inconvenience for us in having to come back for photos. they semi promised the car would be back to us within a week having dropped the car in on Monday and I received a phone call saying my car was ready Friday at 4pm. pretty incredible service!! a loan car was provided and this was great. our car was beautifully washed and clean with shiny tyres. hopefully we don't have to come back for a while, but if we do I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Just moved to Ellerslie and was looking for a mechanic for my long list of WOF repairs. Rob and his team were very patient and thorough with their inspection, showing me where the problems where, and emailing pictures of the work they had done. Very honest! I wasn't expecting this much attention and care, and the final bill was below estimation. Rob checked in to make sure my secondary WOF re-check had gone smoothly. The best service I've experienced with mechanical repairs and will definitely recommend to friends.

I had my Mitsubishi legnum towed here for insurance repairs after someone had tried to steal it. The repairs were done quickly and to a very high standard and the team even held the car there for a week for me while I was in the south island. I had a fantastic experience with Main Autocentre :) Kim at the reception is the queen of customer service and their technicians are phenomenal. My car was rammed on the side by an Auckland Transport bus and their insurance providers were paying for my repairs, the bumper has been scraped and was super low in addition to a dented side panel and broken indicator lights. They replaced the panel, painted the bumper plus vacuumed and cleaned the car, will be going back the next time I need something repaired even if I'm paying. The whole work was done in 3 days, fast & fabulous :)

I have dealt with the company twice through our insurance. The team from reception, assessor to the panel beaters are fantastic.Twice there were minor issues after the repairs and they fixed it promptly. Having a courtesy car is definitely a plus. The second courtesy car's air conditioning was not working. Even that, 5 stars it is. I hope I have no need to pay another visit in the future. However, if anyone needs an insurance claim repair (as I have done twice) this is the place to go.

I’ve been with Main Autocentre Ellerslie for two years now. I had two crash claims in the first 6 months, they were timely, efficient, honest and on top of the repairs returned my car, cleaned and washed each time. The owner Rob even took me to work after I dropped my vehicle off. Since then ive returned for WOF’s, services and everything else. To top my review off my neighbour hit my car two weeks ago and so after my assessment and parts were ordered I dropped my car in yet again for repair. Not very good at returning phone calls after they promise to do so unfortunately, however they are a polite bunch of people that do their best to answer your questions as honestly as possible so appreciate that. In my circumstance, they eventually told me that my repairs were not something they were willing to do due to the effort required vs the result so I appreciate the honesty upfront. As a result I can't comment on their workmanship however I will note them as an option in the future if need be as they appeared experienced and the type of business that does repairs properly rather than taking shortcuts.

I went for a check up for my scratch car today, I not only get a good advice about what’s a good tyre or not but they have also made a quick temporary fix for my scratches. Look for Rob, nice guy knowledgeable and would give you an honest assessment and a very reasonable quote for fixing the scratch. I would recommend this place.

My company has been using Rob, Wayne and the lads for over 15 years now. I used them when they were in Church St, Onehunga, and followed them to there premises now in Penrose. They have serviced/repaired/panelbeated all my vehicles to a very high standard. Whether it was a quick service, or major engine rebuild these guys did everything. Wayne runs the workshop to a very high professional standard, and no job is to small or big to him. His attention to detail is fantastic, and communication to myself and my staff excellent. Took the car in for two repairs which were covered by insurance, the guys at Main Auto did a fantastic job of fixing the damage but then they went further and did a number of touch ups (stone chips etc. ) which weren't covered by insurance. Had a great experience! Called up Saturday morning, dropped the car off an hour later, picked it up at midday. Went above and beyond, the areas that were repaired look great and after discussing maintenance tips, they recommended a headlight cleaning, and did it within 5mins for a reasonable price
