Awesome service, the team there were super friendly and helpful. They asked if I wanted them to check anything specifically, which they did, and gave me a full rundown afterwards. I'll be going back for anything to do with my car going forward.

These guys have been so generous with their time for me, they have assessed my car, swapped things around and so far so good. fixing up and ongoing problem others have been unable to find. They have really dug deep to actually find the problem and assess the issue where as the dealer couldn't find the problem and charged me a fortune. I couldn't fault these guys and their service. I highly recommend. Will only use them in future.

Highly recommend this place! I've always been very cautious about taking my car into places for repairs & this is probably the first place I've found where I haven't had feel cautious about anything. These guys are amazing, trustworthy & reliable!!! Definitely sticking with these guys - so convenient too as they're only down the road from work! I’ve been going to Midas for around 3years. The reason I go back is that I don’t know a lot about cars but they explain to me in detail what work has been done, and what to look out for in the coming months. Really kind, quick and great communication. Highly recommend!

Been to these guys twice, once for a regular WOF, another time for repairs. Both times excellent service, really taking the time to explain what's been done. They'll also give you a ring prior to repair and make sure you're all good with it and the costs. Service was quick too, and they were perfectly located for me.

Best garage experience I've had. Honest service, great prices, timely and explain all the options and didn't push you to make themselves $$. Will be going to these guys for a lifetime now!!

James has been my mechanic since I moved to Auckland. He's looked after four cars for me and continues to provide the best advice and value for money. I can't recommend his services more highly.

Midas Grey Lynn are fantastic . I have used them for the past 8 years. James the owner is always available and never ever fails to exceed my expectations. What costs $2000 at a dealership costs $500 max with James. Don’t go anywhere else. I will pay you bill if you are unhappy. Cheers

Awesome service. Very friendly staff Today my battery went flat and Midas came to my place to rescue as a favour. Neal was so helpful and he also recommended me to visit a battery shop, which in turn replaced my 4-year-old battery. Definitely top service in town!!!

Amazing service. I took my car in because it was making a funny noise and they found that it was a small stone lodged in the break pads. They did not charge me as they said it was a quick job and that is fell out when they took the wheel off. Will definitely be going there in future for services or any other issues because they are very honest and trustworthy.

Really happy with my service and wof at Midas in Grey Lynn. Very friendly staff! Easy to find. Close to the city so you can walk down while you wait. Overall really happy with the whole thing and will definitely be back!

Went in last Thursday as my car vibrates a little bit when braking at high speed, James and his team inspected my car and quickly spotted the problem was the front brake discs were warped. And they replaced the front brake discs and pads which solved the problem and now I can brake very smoothly. The cost is not cheap, but I'd rather spend more money to get it done safely. And James told me that it also came with a 1 year/20000km warranty which is awesome! I would recommend this Midas if you are looking for a place to fix your car. Hopefully they can give me some discount if I went in again, :-)

Highly recommend! Such a lovely team and the owner is extremely genuine. I've been mucked around by previous mechanics who take advantage of the fact I know nothing about cars. So happy I've finally found a mechanic I can trust.

We brought two cars to this location for pre-purchase inspections. We did not know what we were doing and Andy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in this process. He gave us his honest opinion and advised us not to buy one of the cars because of safety concerns. We ended up buying the second car and brought it back in to get it fully serviced. We both felt great peace of mind knowing that Andy had checked our car and given it his stamp of approval. If we are ever back in Auckland, Andy is our guy!

The guys at Midas Great North Road are nothing short of amazing. Friendly, quick, honest & always willing to go the extra mile to help. I always bring my car in here, sometimes last minute and they help me out no matter what. The service is impeccable!

Highly recommend James and this workshop. I came on a Saturday and he greeted me swiftly and proceeded to understand the issue with my vehicle. I left it with him. I was on the look out for a new mechanic and was so happy to have found Midas after the garage was recommended to me by a friend. Honest, reliable and friendly. Surprisingly hard to come by these days. I highly recommend the team at Midas and look forward to going back.

James and his team are total rock stars. They service our entire fleet of Fiat, Alpha & Audi, they even do our Jeep! Great work all around, and nothing is ever a problem. Cannot recommend them enough, good honnest and reliable Mechanics are impossible to find, but James is one of them. They are getting busy now, the word is out!

James and the team at Midas Grey Lynn are the most trust-worthy, and reliable mechanics I have ever come across - I can’t recommend them highly enough!!! After taking my car into a mechanic and quoted $2,500 for a “blown head gasket” I was frustrated with the lack of answers I was given as to what had caused this issue. I decided to get a second opinion and was referred by a friend to Midas Grey Lynn. James (from Midas) ran a series of tests to find there was nothing wrong with the head gasket and it was simply lacking coolant and needed a new thermostat. He also noticed the wiring for the indicator had been tampered with by the previous owner ( I thought it was a blown fuse) and fixed this for me, free of charge. I had my car back the same day. Overall the team saved me thousands and I can’t thank them enough! Oh and did I mention that their customer service is exceptional?!

Un-freakin-believable service! The Google reviews were spot-on about this dude. My little car was sadly declared DOA but he didn’t charge me anything for still trying to resuscitate it and offered a free pre-purchase check for my next car. GOLDEN!!

The guys here are a pleasure to deal with. They only completed and charged me for work that was appropriate at the time. They advised me until other repairs are completed there was no point in a service which I appreciated as they could have charged me for that as well. Will definitely be going back!

I had problems with the break of my backpacker van and was in a hurry as well. Andy was really helpful and since I needed a quick fix he squeezed me in. What is really great is that he gives really good technical explanations about the issue and therefore is very trustworthy as well. Many thanks and greetz!

Pays to get a firm quote before booking to avoid any misunderstandings, but I thought their pricing was reasonable and they explained everything clearly. They cheerfully attended to a minor issue with the job without any charging extra
