Great team. Went out of their way to advise me on whether the second hand Land Rover Discovery I was purchasing was a good buy. (It was, I still love it many years later). Then have looked after it ever since and done a brilliant job. Thanks Trevor and team!

We have had 2 premium vehicles repaired by the Toy Shop over the past year and a half and we have always had excellent service. We don’t waste our time with just any mechanic anymore, we prefer a specialist. They know what they’re doing, get the job done and are always on time. Exceptional service! Trevor and Rachelle are great to deal with. Would highly recommend!

Trevor and the team are fantastic to Deal with. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else! They are straight up, on time and reasonably priced compared to other places and their work is always outstanding.

Trev and the team are excellent to deal with. They have worked on my Porsche, and the results have been excellent each time including: regular servicing, brake pads, brake sensors and a re-chip and dyno-tune. Each time exceeding expectations. 2 thumbs up

I have been using the Toyshop to service my Porsches for years. What I love about Trevor & the crew is that they make you feel really welcome, especially as a woman. They have a beautiful, clean workshop & toy lounge, where you can relax & wait for your car whilst having a chat to one of their knowledgeable team. I love that they talk to you in plain English & explain everything to you before they commit to doing anything. They also tell you what it's going to cost, so there are no surprises! Best of all, as a car lover myself, they know their cars or 'toys' & you can chat to them about everything to do with European or British Cars. They love your Porsche or Land Rover or VW etc. as much as you do :)

Hi Rachel and the Toy shop Team, I am happy to reply to your request. Believe when I say that the Toy Shop is way above expectation when it comes to servicing motor vehicles, as from experience from other mechanical shops. For European Vehicles the Toy Shop I believe has an understanding of mechanical problems even before the diagnosis equipment is set up. This in itself can give the customer(me) confidence that the vehicle in for service is going to be taken care of. The efficiency of vehicle service turnaround astounds me as my expectation of waiting and collection is usually longer. Don't hesitate to give yourself the 5 star rating you deserve, At one time I had taken my Porsche to three other European Service outlets and neither could locate the problem. Last resort the Toy Shop Shop, located the problem and repaired the fault. Cheers for that. Kind Regards

Trevor, thank you so much for looking after the Jag and getting it purring again. As a new customer of The Toy Shop, and someone that is unfamiliar with cars and mechanical terms, your knowledge, your honestly and your mechanical know how was a breath of fresh air. Your workshop is fantastic (love the steel work), you explained everything to me so I understood, and your estimate was accurate. You have a great team, and I especially appreciated that you needed to move a vehicle AND bring the Jag down from the hoist, so I could retrieve something from the glovebox. I will be back and I will be recommending The Toy Shop to all of my colleagues and friends.

Trevor and the team have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. My BMW 535i GT failed its warrant due to worn front sway bar bushings and rear differential mount/subframe mount bushings. I searched around and Trevor was able to liaise with my Mechanical Breakdown Insurance provider, from diagnosis to claiming to completion of works. To add further, I collected my car after the works were completed and noticed some troubling noises and vibrations coming from the car. Trevor immediately sent out a technician (Tristan, who was knowledgeable and personable) to diagnose the issue and get me back on my way. You WILL NOT get a better all-around service in terms of communication, price and quality of work from any other shop. Do yourself a favour and see Trevor at the Toy Shop if your Euro needs some love.

I contacted the Toy Shop after searching on Google for a Repairer to diagnose and repair a fault with the E.A.S. (Air Suspension) on my 2001 RangeRover Vogue. From my first conversation with Trevor, I felt reassured that I had contacted the right people for my repair, and confident that they would do a good job. I was wrong. They did a Fantastic job! Not only did they repair my air suspension problem, but Trevor also located and fixed an oil leak that had been causing me much anxiety an constant niggling from my wife complaining about the oil spills on our concrete drive at home. The Service I received at the Toy Shop was 2nd to None! Thank you Trevor and your Team

Dear Reader. Stop looking, and go see Trevor and the TS Team. The End. Really though... their repairs and maintenance service was amazing, and they absolutely know their stuff. We brought in our Disco and he was able to quickly diagnose the issues we were having, and accurately quote. The after-service care they provide is insane. They spent time taking our questions and following up with us to get everything to perfection. AAA - we'll be back for servicing in a couple of months. Thanks

Trevor and the team have looked after my BMW X1 for 2yrs now - I'd never go anywhere else... they can always find a way to fit me in, don't laugh too hard when I call in despair after yet another electronic fault (damn you BMW!) or a wing mirror swipe, battery issue after lock-down idleness, or any number of annoyances common with BMWs and apparently bad luck! Friendly, efficient and trustworthy which is super important for someone like me who knows nothing about cars and could be taken for a ride quite easily. They've stayed behind and waited when I couldn't leave work on time to pick up, work to pace but do an amazing job - and they've somehow kept my little car humming along and worked well with my insurance company when needed. Thanks so much guys - I hope I don't need to see you again for a while!!

We’ve been taking our cars to the toy shop since 2012. One of them is a vintage Maserati which has been tricky since purchased in 1999. Trevor has diagnosed its gremlins, sourced parts and fixed problems that even the Maserati specialists in NZ and Sydney couldn’t. And at a modest, not premium price. I won’t list the issues, there have been a fair few! Our other car is more straight forward - being a late model Range Rover. Servicing is always prompt, and if issues arise, diagnosed and options to fix it presented. Trevor finds solutions. His team are courteous and customer service focused. The courtesy cars, prompt turnaround and complimentary grooming are all appreciated. Thanks guys!

I went to see a mechanic, but instead I met Trevor a purist and car lover at The Toy Shop. Trevor inspected my Porsche 911SC and told me that many parts, I believed needed to be replaced, were in fact in good order. He meticulously fixed all other faults without overcharging. I suspect that he spent more time on my car than he actually charged, out of pure love for my German piece of engineering. Trevor and his team earned a friend for life. Thank you a million times over.

The team at The Toy Shop have been fantastic. The communication during the process was excellent and anything I didn't understand was explained thoroughly. I would highly recommend The Toy Shop team to anyone needing a good honest mechanic who cares about your car as much as you do. Bonus, the courtesy car was immaculate and my (really dirty) car was groomed to perfection when I picked it up.

Trevor and his team are fantastic. I asked for a quote for some new tyres but instead of quoting me for the ones I already had on the car (as everyone else had - they were pretty expensive tyres), he recommended a different type, that would be way better for my car, as well as being half the price. The Toy Shop team have been looking after my 1987 Range Rover Classic. She is a capricious piece of machinery with a solid to-do list, but they provide the expert knowledge that's needed every time. They always keep me informed, no surprises, honest labour charges, and loan car often available. Trevor sources rare parts through internet/facebook sleuthing, and minor tidy-ups have been done at the same time as other work without even asking. Friendly people who are good to talk shop with as well. They love classics and treat both car and owner with respect.

Recommended by a friend, the team at Toy Shop were amazing! So easy booking my Volkswagen Polo in for a check and it was ready for pick up within the day. They even offered me a loan car without my requesting one and I got my car back freshly cleaned which was such a nice surprise. Thanks guys!

The Toy Shop has done it again, great outstanding service, and great work carried out on the vehicle. You are given clear explanations on what work is required and any possible options available. If there is an issue that is not easily diagnosed, these guys will spend the time to track the actual fault and not replace something that dosen't need replacing. I was looking to have the faulty door lock replaced on my BMW hatch which suddenly stopped functioning for some reason. I searched online for a euro car specialist and found The Toy Shop. I started reading the reviews from other customers which were all positive so I thought I'd give this place a shot. Four days ago, they replaced the door lock like I expected them to but as I was driving home I noticed that the interior is way cleaner than I remembered. When I got home later that day, I found out that not only did they tidy up the interior but they also cleaned the exterior as well. Cobwebs were removed from all over the car, the body now has more shine in it and so do the rims! Talk about going over and beyond for customers. They obviously did not have to do that but they did and I appreciate it very much. I'm totally impressed with the service so thank you The Toy Shop Auckland!

The Toy Shop have been servicing and repairing our Range Rover Vogue and BMW 535 for many years and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. These guys are always professional and never too busy to help. They also know how to communicate the technical stuff to me when I don't understand. If you love your car I highly recommend them.

Once I got my solid but not perfect Series IIa 88" to Auckland, I needed someone to help me iron out the classic faults. Trevor and his team were passionate and complimentary of my pride-and-joy. They not only sorted the clutch, (vastly improving 1st and 2nd), improved the old drum brakes and tuned the engine, but they got her starting right first time and replaced door seals to boot. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Great team and clean workshop who have been looking after my E39 540i for the past 18months. The 540 recently needed emergency surgery which was dealt with quickly and for a good price plus it looked great after a clean too. Highly recommended for those who love their toys. Cheers, Clem

I first met the Team at The Toy Shop 3 years ago when they advised on the sale of my E-Type Jaguar. Earlier this year I imported a 1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera from the UK, which had been "back-dated" to resemble the classic pre-1973 911s. The bonnet had been elongated, chrome installed around the headlights and windows, the whale tail removed, Durant side mirrors installed and the rear shaped in the 70s style. All the performance and features of a late 1980s 911 3.2 with the classic slim line look of the early 70s. The Toy Shop advised me about how to buy the car and took care of all the shipping and importing requirements. When it arrived, while the body, chassis and engine were superb, there were some rust issues in the undercarriage from the salt on the English roads. Toy Shop took control. They sandblasted, re-welded, rust proofed and painted the undercarriage, replaced the oil pipes, oil cooler and the fuel tank and overhauled the brakes. It wasn't exactly where I wanted to be spending money, but the job that they did was not only absolutely impeccable but very reasonably priced. They kept me informed every step of the way and always welcomed a visit at any time to see how work was progressing. When the work was done they went out of their way to call in a favour to get the LTSA compliance testing completed asap. When the car hit the road about a month ago, it was absolutely superb. The Team at the Toy Shop genuinely love the cars they work on as much as the owners do, their work is second to none, very reasonably priced and they are very pragmatic about what needs to be done as opposed to what could be done. I am looking forward to a lot of great motoring with The Toy Shop. Simon Foote

provided poor feedback due to Initial issue with service consult and charges for work carried out. Was contacted by their business owner Anne McCarrison who was polite, professional and empathetic who took ownership of my complaint and have since then turned my perception of business around from negative to positive. I highly recommend the business as they are the first company who are willing to go the extra mile with work and customer service till satisfactory.

The Toyshop guys are sharp on their diagnostics and well as repair The key is they know what to expect and look for BEFORE things go wrong - especially with the Rangies due to their experience - their relationship with their suppliers also means they can access parts and service quickly and competitively. ANd their grooming service is outstanding!
