First time I have used A1auto4services. Gave them quite a job of trying to find an A/C leak in my 2012 Buick. Master Mechanic was tenacious in finding the problem. Only the cost of pulling the dashboard out stop the process. I appreciated their willingness to find the actual problem, backed up by their findings as they stepped through the troubleshooting. Excellent communication and job was completed in far less time than I expected. I know that in the end, they spent more hours working on my car than what I paid for in their service. I will definitely use A1 Auto 4 Services for future service.

The best, fast and smoothies car service experience I have ever had. Very customer friendly big boys working there. Will come back again. A++++

My warrant was a few days overdue when I realised this. I was driving down past A1 auto and just thought I would try my luck and see whether they could fit me in on a Friday at 4.15pm!!!! Well they did, the two men I dealt with were absolutely amazing!! They seemed really genuine and honest guys and I will definitely be bringing my car back here as my preferred mechanic now!! Thank you for squeezing me in and for the great chat. Highly recommend!!

A1autos4Services have always taken good, honest care of me and my cars. I've brought them a fairly wide range of domestic and european cars, new and (extremely) old, and I've always walked away feeling good about the work they do. If you're price sensitive, they've never been shy about telling me what a given service or repair will cost. I heartily recommend them to anyone looking for a new shop. Wow! I've always been so thrown off by many mechanic shops, but A1auto4services totally went above and beyond in great customer service and mechanic work for my first visit! They weren't out to take advantage of the customer and their money, these folks are sincere and honest in their work. One quote for a certain part was too high then A1auto4services worked with me in finding the perfect value part fit for my car's needs. Getting the job done was seamless. Dropped off the car on day 1 for the diagnostic and dropped off the car again on day three when the part arrived for them to perform the job. Just like that, my car was the happiest with a healed check engine light for a great price. I recommend everyone to give this shop a try! My neighbors recommended it to me and I'm so thankful to follow up on that! I will for sure come back for the next car service!

These mechanics were very honest and upfront with me when I took my car in for a service recently. They explained very thoroughly what was required and what the pricing would be for an engine service, two rear brake pads and a gearbox oil change. They also pointed out that I had a worn tie rod end that I should replace soon. All the staff were really friendly – especially Brent the owner - and I really felt my Lexus was in very good hands. The workshop was very tidy with impressive multiple hoists, an extensive range of car servicing equipment and a clean customer waiting area. They were also close to my work being centrally located in Christchurch which was a big plus. Would happily recommend them to any car owner.

Went in to get something checked on my car as I’m wanting to sell it and they really helped me out. Extremely fair price and really genuine people. The owner and mechanics are really friendly. They look after you as a customer. I will definitely be coming back here for all future services over AA.

Got a promotional voucher from these guys and it was awesome! Saved myself over $1,000 in what I would normally pay to get all this work done on my car - plus got some other work done as well. Never been to them before but will be using them as my regular garage from now on! Really know what they are doing.

Fast and Fair. Update; These guys are great still. For those of you who purchased a voucher should really read the full t&c's first before you rant of. Still totally good value for money. Vouchers/Coupons are also a good way to help local in COVID.

Wow I am shocked these guys only have 4 stars. They have always provided incredible service. I don't go anywhere else for my WOF. They are honest in the assessments and never just add stuff in order to try and get some work out of it. As a woman this has happened to me on several occasions. Consequently I have paid hundreds, if not thousands of dollars completely unnecessarily. Never at A.1. You can be confident in their integrity and the high quality of the workmanship which is priced very reasonably.

A few years back our Mechanic retired and we were recommended a new one, there started some years of problems. Finally we found out about A1Auto4Services, and we went in to see them. No only did they identify some work that needed addressing by the recent work undertaken by former mechanic, we found it was so refreshing to have a mechanic that identified problems before they become 'serious' that we can now address. This is something we haven't had for some years, since our old mechanic retired. I can't emphasise enough how wonderful it was to find a mechanical business that is professional and more than helpful. Things were done to the time they said, and my car is running like a dream. Thank you soooo much, it goes without saying I'm recommending you to people all over the place. Because we now have our new mechanic!

Had my battery replaced in my Nissan Fuga, very fast and efficient service! Customer service was great too. When Repco and super cheap couldn't replace my battery I got referred to the A1 Auto team through Battery Marshal. I look forward to visiting again for any car issues! My favourite place in town now!

My car is old and broken, I had two parts that the partner had grabbed for me and paid a bit for. Both wrong.. these guys helped out organised the right parts fixed the broken light and windscreen wipers fixed a tail light, gave it and oil change and a warrant PLUS labor all under $430. Ignore all negative comments prior to this, the guys at A1 were accommodating, kept me well in the loop and let me know each step of the way what was happening and got my car back on the road for a seriously reasonable price especially for a student! Thank you so much!

Drove in to have my exhaust checked, he booked it in straight away, was fixed within a few hours. Really friendly with great service 🙃 Very highly recommended

I have been getting my cars seviced from these guys for the last three years, i have found them to be very very good mechanics and good service personal ,They take there jobs seriously and do not allow cars to drive away with anything wrong with them,THe management is great communication good in fact would go out of there way for you. I highly recomend them, there prices have allways been a fair reflection of real work done

I think this place may be victim to 'only people with bad experiences leave reviews'. I've been to these guys twice now for pretty major work, and they quoted cheaper than any other mechanics in the area. I'm no expert, but my car is still getting me where I need to go, and they were accommodating to my impoverished student budget. Bunch of good blokes.

I don't often add feedback or review but when you receive exceptional, supportive and friendly service you can't let that go unrecognised and unpraised. I'm your stereotypical female driver. The lads here ALWAYS take their time to explain things to me and give me options to meet my budget. I can't speak more highly of these guys.

I took my utility in to have parts that I got for them to put in. The one thing that was upsetting was I did not get it back the same day as one of the parts I got did not fit. All up I payed $410.00 for them to do a W A and put parts in. The price could have been more by about $150.00 as the time they spent on it was about 6 to 7 hours. I'm on my way to pick it up now. People may not like there WOF but they have looked after me and I would go back to them again to get work done.

I came on here to write a review about how fantastic the service i received from a1 auto was and stumbled across these other reviews and as far as i am concerned they are not true you all sound like a bunch of people who are all unhappy about your cars being broken and failing the warrent of fitness's its not the mechanics fault that you drive around in broken cars and don't want to have them fixed properly(the rules are rules set by the government) i went in there for a wof and it failed on a shock the mechanic kindly brought me through into the workshop and showed me the shock leaking and damaged and gave me to alternatives to fix it he was well explained and gave me options of a second hand one or a new one depending on my budget i chose a new one because im not tight like the rest of you sound like my car was fixed the same day and i was given a loan car thank you A! auto i will always come back :)
