A big thank you to Brendan, Gaye and the team at C.V. Specialists. You have been amazing over the years with the servicing of our pop top caravan and now our bigger Oxford caravan. We called with very little notice and were accommodated that day. Life savers. Looking forward to getting the suspension and brakes replaced in winter to modernise things. Thanks again from the Smith family.

Did an awesome job and got me sorted on a job when no one else could sort it. I'm a very happy person thanks to CV Specialists. Great service and so easy to deal with.

Asked these guys to do something that we weren't even sure could be done in a manner that would ensure reliability outside of "standard use practices". Have not tested yet but have been assured by Brandon/Brendan (not sure of spelling) that we shouldn't have any problems. Will update accordingly

I had a top quality custom made race axle fabricated by these guys. They were great to deal with, we had to use email and phone calls but still ended up with a great result. They did try to fit me with all the bells and whistles that I felt I didn't need however as a business why wouldn't you? They happily removed them and adjusted the price. Cheers guys. Car runs beautifully.

Absolutely amazing service from Brendan and his team. Constant communication, no hidden costs. Everything was stated in a clear and extremely reasonable invoice. The honesty with the team there is something to be commended. A mechanic found a 50 dollar note under my battery in my bonnet (strange right) but was informed straight away. Very trustworthy and straight forward service from Brendan, Matt and the rest of the team at C.V Specialists. Highly recommend

READ THIS REVIEW IF UNSURE... My bill was $2800. They were recommended to me by my local shop. I came to CHCH to get my Xtrail wobble fixed. Local shop said to have them repair the CV axle. I was expecting to pay around $500 for that. Turned out that the problem was more INVOLVED, and they called me to say I needed a rack rebuild and 2 new axles, alignment and some other small things... THE CAR DRIVES BRAND NEW NOW. I read the negative reviews and was scared I was going to be ripped off. I understand now with the car back driving like new that you have to put money into your vehicle to keep it driving like the day it was new, or just don't repair it at all and take a gamble on another used car. Or buy a brand new car if you can, but that will break one day as well....

I am a first time customer of CV Specialists and took a problem to them that I believed may be a very difficult repair job - their approach to the job and their professionalism has been without question. Brendan was tenacious in finding a solution. The quality of workmanship was first class and given the challenges the job presented Brendan was more than fair in his approach to charging Brendan and Gaye have been a joy to deal with - incredibly attentive and communicative I would thoroughly recommend using CV specialists for repair/maintenance in their specialist areas Gill 12 August 2021

These guys are awesome! I needed repairs to a leaky power steering hose. After getting some pretty high quotes and others who wouldn't even give me a rough estimate, and generally had to wait 2 weeks to be seen, these guys booked me in the next day and gave me some fair estimates. When I turned up, they were finishing it off and ended up having some mint yarns with their team while I waited. Even though the job became a mare for them (I'm sure others would use stronger words), they still honored the estimate. Will definitely be coming back next time I need a wof or anything else, would strongly recommend! (Nic with the '94 Corolla)

We brought a car to tow our caravan then found that it was very sluggish and very hungry on fuel. Someone suggested that we go to CV Specialist. Brendan checked out the car and said what he would do and how much cost was involved. He did the job and said he had reached all that he could do to improve the running of the vehicle. It was a lot better but Brendan said if we take it to another engine specialist he may be able to improve it which we did.The car now runs smoothly and is very much more fuel efficient.

CVS were very helpful with technical advise and parts availability for my raised Hilux. They also provided great after sales service, adjusting the CV boot clamping position on my axles to prevent the boots rubbing causing premature failure. Thanks guys😎

Needed an urgent WOF check and some advice on lift kit , and running gear. Got seen strait away and received fantastic advice from very knowledgeable staff. have been a customer since 1998. and happy to remain one. great job.

I found CV Specialists at Sockburn and Brendan offer a thoroughly professional service, prices were competitive along with a friendly local attitude and the work done as it should be, faultless. Bought a treatme voucher online, the service is fine. The thing I don't like is they made my car very dirty, grease on car seats, handles, I have to spend $100 to wash them off! I hope the boss tells boys be careful with that...
