S.Excellent service.. Had my Mazda 5, which had an issue with front suspension for the last 1.5 years - probably had 3-4 regular services done over that period but it never got rectified. After the service (premium) with Grimmer, the issue just disappeared. I had actually much higher estimate from other shops to identify & rectify the issue. Just stoked that it got resolved as part of my periodic service.
Highly appreciate and recommend their work.

m.Super friendly, they did a basic service on my vehicle and did a coolant tank flush as requested. They also cleaned my car for free which is amazing. They advised me of things that would need attention on my car in the future and even sent me an email with an approximate quote so I know what it will cost so I can save up. K.First time using this business as it is located much closer than my other. The communication was very prompt and they made efforts to procure the best deal for me as my car needed some very pricey work done to pass the warrant. I was really rapt to get my car back washed, vacuumed (a special that was on) but most of all as a bonus the annoying rattle had gone too. Very happy.
L.I own a Toyota Camry hybrid 2013 and for half a year my car had been making weird knocking sounds. Grimmer motors not only found the issue but fixed it within a day despite being short staffed due to COVID. Found out it was an issue that was created by another mechanic I’d taken my car to in order to fix my front sway bar links.
My car runs like a dream again, and for the amount they charged overall - I’m definitely coming to them for all my mechanical needs.

S.Very happy with the service I received at Grimmer Motors! Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and obviously efficient. Car was fixed same day, courtesy car was clean and tidy. My car was returned fresh and clean too which is a bonus!
T.This company is very good. I booked my car in for an inspection Thursday morning and I finished work at 3. Called them up to see what was wrong and if they could fix it the same day and they did, they fixed everything within just over an hour. Cheapest car place I have ever been to aswell. b.Had my Car booked in for a full service. Very happy with the end result, she’s purring like a kitten. And another thing, I’m on the benefit, I would never have the money to pay the full price for a service. And this is the main reason I went to Grimmer Motors is cause they offer Genoapay 1 full payment split over 10 weeks wich I can afford. Will definitely be going back for more work if needed.

Went back for front brake pads and headlight polish. Drop car off at 8am, pick car up at 4:30. Couldn’t be more happier with the result if I tried. You done it once again Grimmer Motors. Well done.
N.I found Grimmers service fo a WOF excellent. They were very clear with prices, called me for any concerns or extra costs that may arise and offered offered free interior and exterior clean which I was stoked about.

M.Weve always been happy with the service from Grimmer motors. Only concerns this time was - when I picked up the car i found that i was hemmed in by cars behind, in front and both sides. I had to go into office then come out and wait for sometime before cars were moved. Also we asked for the missing petrol cap to be replaced. This was not done.
J.While traveling from Taihape to Kerikeri my trailer needed work on brakes and bearings, the team at Grimmermotors went out of their way to complete the job and get us underway within 24 hours of arrival at the garage.

S.I got my trailer WOF sorted here. I was able to leave it with them in the morning and collect in the afternoon. Very pleased with the service. It passed the WOF and they gave me a heads up about two small things to keep an eye on before next one due in a year.

R.When I saw that Grimmers Motors were open to do our Warrant of Fitness at Level 3 I was so happy. The team were quick and efficient and easy to communicate with. Really appreciated their quick response.
N.I came to Grimmer for a WOF. They are very nice and professional. They are friendly. They seem to know what they are doing. They washed the outside of my car and vaccumed the inside, which was a nice bonus. My car failed the WOF and they gave me estimates for the fixes. We ended up buying the part somewhere else and fixing it ourselves at our house to save money. It took us about an hour to fix (it would probably take them less since they are more experienced). I'm guessing Grimmer would get their parts cheaper than we did, but they would charge a markup, so the part might be the same price through them, but even subtracting what we paid for the part, the labor would have been over $500 at Grimmer. That seems like a lot for something that might take them between 1/2 hour and 1 hour to fix.

V.Car failed wof at PitStop and was told they couldn't find replacement parts. Went to Grimmer motors and within a day had the part found with an estimate. Repair took half a day and they even gave my car a clean up as part of the repairs. Definitely going back for any work my car requires in the future.
J.I appreciate that I could have the WOF and service done in lockdown. My car was quite dirty, and I apologise for that. But what it meant was that I noticed where the vacuum cleaner didn't get to. This is not an important part of the job, but it doesn't quite meet the promise that Grimmers makes to deliver a clean car.

Picked it up at 12pm... had a personal phone call from the mechanic who worked on it before I picked it up.
And I couldn’t believe that my car had not only been repaired, but it also been thoroughly cleaned inside and out!!

p.They were quick and friendly I did have an engine light on my dash which they advised they cleared and could be an O2 sensor.And advised I'd need to bring it back should it come on again it came back on in 200 meters it would have been nice had they taken it for a little test drive and given me the option to look at it at the Time as I paid 400 for a premium service.

R.After contacting a few people to find the part to replace my side mirror, Grimmer Motors was the only one that delivered. They did the work fast and efficiently. I brought the car in for a 10 minute consultation and the part and work was bought and completed in 2 days. Would recommend everyone to deal with Grimmer Motors if they want their car work done right.

Not only did they diagnose and fix the cause for the misfiring, they found an oil leak and an issue with my brakes that has plagued me for the last 3 years, the last mechanic I took it to kept saying there was no issues, even though the brakes were shaky and the car chewed through oil like there was no tomorrow! I brought these issues up at least 3 times with the previous mechanic with no resolution. So glad I brought my car here, and will continue to do so from now on! Very reasonable pricing too! T.Took my car in during that weird period between Boxing Day and New Years when most other mechanics were closed. The staff were very helpful in explaining where the problem could be and promptly set up a time to get it sorted. Great communication to ensure I was getting the picture at key points during the process. Once sorted I found they had gone above and beyond my expectations. Car is running smooth now. Excellent car service and excellent customer service too!

They were able to do this for us with minimal fuss and within our budget. The customer service was amazing and we will return to get the rest done. I had tried somewhere else before and they gave me the run around saying there were multiple things wrong with the car and it was going to cost $2000+ to fix. But at Grimmers, they found the root cause and was able to fix during the diagnostic scan, they also threw in a car clean, inside and out. Great customer service, can't thank you enough. A.Took our car to these guys yesterday. Friendly, helpful staff, amazing service, great price and all of the extras, like cleaning and vacuuming our car. Explained the problems, showed me the parts they had replaced, discussed the results of the free scan they did. They had given me an estimate of the cost, the repair was $100 cheaper than the estimate and $165 cheaper than the estimate from another repairer. On top of all of that, they are an eco friendly business! I used to own a workshop and I would happily recommend these guys for all of your automotive repairs and servicing.

S.I went in for a WoF check around a month ago reading all the reviews here. They gave a proper estimate as well.
However, wof technical information (clause 3.1.2.2) says only visual inspection is needed and the outlined rust in fire wall is not visible on visual inspection.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'd recommend going there. Thanks for your service.

Thanks guys for quick and reliable service. Your note in the repair sheet was right on - I checked the water in the radiator after returning home and sure enough it had gone down a lot. Glad I saw that note and saved having another cracked radiator. So thanks again for the heads up.
T.I booked in last minute to get WOF repairs done. Simple and easy online booking system. Arrived at 730am. Waited in the foyer and did my work. Out by 840am. So efficient and convenient!

J.Grimmers sourced a part for my car in 1 day that another garage had been 'trying' to do since December 2017. My car was ready for pickup two and a half hours after I dropped it off. Every staff member I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I have never had such good service. Outstanding!!!

On searching online we came across this company.
What captured us was the ease by which we could make an appointment to get the car serviced.
As a toastmaster I enjoyed the conversation of the admin person whom I rang to confirm the servicing appointment.
We were offered a car from which to use whilst our car was being serviced and a low rental charge further captured our use of this business.
On uplifting our car, we found that some of the electronics was not working; for example the rear camera was not working.
Upon letting the business know this, they promptly fixed whatever electronic issues were not working- the rear camera is now working.
In summary the telephone manner of the receptionist drew our business in that she confirmed our details very politely;
The fixing of electronic issues were fixed in a short amount of time and we still had the service vehicle to run around in.
The car was washed and vacuumed.

S.I think it's become too expensive. $85 for a WOF is too high, even if you clean it. I like the mechanics and the services offered. They have worked on both my vehicles and the repairs have been good. Very competent facility so i am sad to have to go elsewhere due to pricing

B.These guys are absolutely amazing! They will definitely be my new "Go To" people. I needed two seatbelts and a hose replaced to pass my warrant (that I got done elsewhere). Grimmers quoted a me a way more fair price, gave me options, and even advised and put on my invoice that one of the seatbelts didnt even need replacing to pass WoF standards (I got it replaced anyway). When I took it back to the original wof place, they were a bit dumbfounded with what I told them. The service and communication from Grimmer is amazing!! J.It's not often a mechanic is described as honest or trustworthy, but having used Grimmer Motors 3 times now, I can confidentially say that they are. On this latest occasion (18/06/19) I had a squeaky belt on start up. They got me in the next morning, took time to listen & understand my issue, then phoned me as promised to offer solutions BEFORE completing the work, also phoning me again when the parts they were sent were not the right size to no fault of their own.
They offered a low cost option to tie me over, or a more expensive option that would actually fix the issue, which I happily took. There was no pressure or attempt to up sell, just the facts and their professional recommendation. The work was completed quickly, the problem fixed and the price seemed very fair.
Having used a number of Hamilton mechanics over the years, Grimmer Motors is hands down the best - and know they're not paying me to write this and I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just giving credit where credit is due so others can hopefully avoid the many sharks out there all too ready to take you for a ride...so to speak...

l.Last week I booked my car into GRIMMER MOTOR Fairfield to see what repairs is needed for my vehicle I call it NANNY & DA MOKOPUNA CAR. The mechanic RAGHU who checked my vehicle was awesome he explained in full detailed & showed me everything that needed to be repaired. Thanks to income support they approved to pay the full amount towards the repairs. I booked my car in on Wednesday 21/8 received a phone call from RAGHU later that afternoon, to let me know the damage of the HEAD GASKET & didn't know until they pulled it apart of the damage & informed me of further cost & we tryed to come to some solution of paying the rest off. Thursday morning I picked up the quote took it to income support & once again they approved the rest.GRIMMERS WORKER'S ARE VERY EFFICIENT & FAST WITH THE WORK THEY DO I got income support to write on the quote that it's been approved & it will be on my green card by 3pm. It started to rain so I decided to wait the lady at reception said it would be hour & half & waiting for part to be delivered. I said 'that's alright I wait' she offered to drop me off in town & we got talking she ask if I have heard about Christian Against Proverty & YES I READ A BOOK OF THERE INFO & IM GOING TO READ IT AGAIN. Unknown to me this lady the owner & the guy who was working on my car is her husband. It is true there are GOOD PEOPLE out there THANK U SO MUCH GRIMMERS WORKERS & OWNERS BIG UPS TO YOUS ALL.

R.Took car in for serpentine belt to be replaced, they found only the belt was loose and tightened it and charged only for that. Most places would rip you off but not these guys. Plus you get a free car wash and vacum. Well worth the money. Would definitely recommend.
S.I gave 3 stars because they made a mistake, they ordered the wrong part and I had to wait a long time, like over a month. But they did well in updating me and giving me the estimated cost of the repair beforehand.

l.In a nutshell my drive axle was seized in hub assembly and was unable to be removed. I dropped car off car on Friday and was informed that I needed to get parts. However the part did not arrive till Tuesday and I was able to pick up the car that afternoon. Thankyou very much Grimmer motors as we were able to leave for Levin at 3.am Wednesday morning for my daughter to play in the Nationals Junior Women's Inline Hockey tournament where received 3rd place!

N.Great work by the team who serviced my car a few months back. They jad signalled earlier that the Cam belt needed replacing plus it was running poorly. I also asked for a check on my tyres.
The car is running way better and they returned it looking grand. They also provided me with a print out of the tread on each tyre for an additional cost. This provided full information, along with some suggestions that gave me clear data for the way foward.

S.I am very happy to relate my recent experience regarding the service i received from Grimmer motors like many people out there my car was in need of a current warrant of fitness after lapsing during the Covid 19 lockdown i took my vehicle to there shop where i was told they would clean my carpets and wash my car free of charge while sorting out a new warrant of fitness not only that but they also replaced a broken front indicator light at minimum cost to my 1988 Toyota Corolla thanks for the excellent service guys and girls very satisfied customer

m.Hello I would like to announce that I am very happy with Grimmers Motors for finding and fixing my Alfa Romeo car, you know how the car never plays up when the mechanic is around, well they found it, it was the sensor under the camshaft and being a car from 🇮🇹it wasn't easy I was so impressed that I bought a dozen laminations from across the road for the staff, also I used the Genoapay system which over 10 wks I pay off my account, I have been driving confidently I am so happy thanks again guys and ladies at Grimmers Motors.
