Custom made my wedding cake from Bluebells, Kingsland and they did an amazing job. We had a cake tasting consultation with Caylie, she guided us with the flavours and all the requirements. Absolutely loved the carrot, red velvet and lemon cake. Thank you so much for the beautiful cake!!! Definitely ordering many more cakes from Bluebells:)

Bluebells have made all of our special family event cakes for us. Today was no exception, our son’s first birthday. As usual, the cake was delicious. There was a small issue when I picked it up, but the staff were so amazing and sorted it out with a smile and totally went the extra mile. Thanks for another amazing experience!

Beautiful cakes and extremely tasty, very sophisticated. The only trouble is the boxes provided do not have a handle and neither will be tied up with ribbons/strings nor provide a big enough paper bag for carrying the cake box. Last time my cupcakes were tipped sideways getting ruined.

The ordering process was easy, the delivery was on time but the most important thing was the cake was incredible. I recommend the vegan chocolate and raspberry cake to everyone! I had to take a moment to write a review for Bluebells Cakery, in conjunction with Rose Tinted Flowers and their team. Honestly, if I could give them 10 stars, I would. It is incredibly rare to find a business that will go the extra mile to assist a customer but Bluebells Cakery & Rose Tinted exemplifies customer service! I'm so impressed with their business and the quality of their cakes. To provide some background, our daughter was turning 21 and is attending Uni in Auckland, though we live in the States. Since we couldn't be there to help her celebrate, I decided to find something that would let her know we were thinking of her and wished we could be there. I searched awhile online and came across Rose Tinted Flowers. I was immediately impressed with the beauty of the floral arrangements, as they were not the typical, generic flowers you often see online. Though they normally have a relationship with another bakery, Bluebells Cakery, really came through for us, on this particular day. I placed our order online, which was super easy to navigate and selected my delivery date. Shortly after, I received a confirmation of my order. Yay! Shortly after that, I received an incredibly thoughtful email, explaining that the day for my delivery was a holiday for NZ (Waitangi Day) and that the OTHER bakery would be closed. Hmm. What to do??? So, the florist offered me another option and I emailed back explaining that we were in a tricky spot, since I couldn't very well hand deliver a cake, as we do not live in NZ and since it was an important milestone for our daughter & was wondering if they could recommend another bakery. Amy @RoseTintedFlowers reached out and recommended Bluebells Cakery. They worked together to make this a seamless experience and handled all of the communication and made the delivery arrangements, end-to-end. Though this was a unique situation, they set it up so that the flowers and cake could still be delivered together!! I couldn't believe the thoughtfulness and stellar customer service! They went completely above and beyond! Our daughter received the flowers and cake and was thrilled! She even took the cake to Whitianga to share with family and friends and they raved about how delicious the cake tasted!! I cannot say enough good things about this company, their professionalism, willingness to problem solve, take on a bit of a challenge AND during Covid AND on a holiday! Please support this business as they model the kinds of relationships, we all hope to have with our local businesses. Thank you so much, Bluebells Cakery!

We've all ordered something online that looked great on the website only to be deflated and disappointed when received. Fortunately, the cake I ordered for my daughter's birthday was not one of them. Website was user friendly, good communication from the team, arrived on-time and the cake looked amazing. All that was a bit overshadowed by how awesome it tasted. Perfect icing-to-cake ratio on the layers as we ordered a 3 layered cake and every slice was delicious. Everyone wanted a bigger or second serving. The fridge magnet was also nice and a good visual reminder where to go for amazing cakes.

Fantastic cake and great service. This was a cake ordered online for our son's 21st. It was ready on time, fresh and lovely. The cake was easily big enough for everyone to have some as it was rich and small slices were plenty.

This great cafe and bakery, tucked away in Kingsland, is worth visiting. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful, and it is child friendly. Best bit is that the cakes and desserts are to die for, and the coffee is great. They have smoothies and milkshakes, along with lunch items like sandwiches and pies. Everything is made on premises and so is generally very fresh. The range of choice is wide, there is something for everyone. They do fantastic kids parties, where your favorite little ones can earn a certificate in cake decorating. Along with taking their spoils home for family. So if you want to grab some food, and enjoy an afternoon tea with your friends and their kids. I highly recommend Bluebells Cakery.

For someone who's never a fan of chocolate cake, your chocolate cake converted me. Kids had a blast too cause the thing was beautiful and in their words "Yummy !!". Due to level 4 lockdown complications, the delivery of the order was understandably not as smooth or as timely as one would expect. Was contacted about switching to courier delivery to ensure the parcel was delivered on time for a friend's birthday. We ordered a beautiful 3 tier watercolour cake for my sisters baby shower. As you can see it was absolutely stunning and it was just perfect. Ordering and pick-up process couldn't have been easier, their Kingsland cafe that we picked it up from was also gorgeous and smelt like heaven! Went there with a friend for their high tea and overall it was really lovely. Nice warm and cozy cafe. Most of the food was delicious and they had served an ample amount. Brilliant presentation of the food, and they had matching plates, tea cups, and three tier serving plates. My only recommendation would be to provide a tea list. It's a high tea. The food menu was nice, but we both looked on the other side expecting to see a list of teas. We had to ask what teas they had and were shown the teabags they had. Overall it was a lovely experience and a good high tea for people to try.

I ordered a cake for a special birthday, and needed it to be gluten free. After shopping around a bit, I was delighted to find Bluebells Cakery. The prices were reasonable, compared to many others. It was so easy to customise the cake, and add bits and pieces to the order. The size/portion chart was excellent. The customised picture that was included was a bit last minute (I had asked on my order whether it was possible, but didn't hear until a couple of days beforehand, so it was a bit of a rush putting it together). It was printed beautifully though, and the birthday boy was super impressed (that's the reason for 4 stars, not 5). The cake was packaged so that it didn't move around in the box, which was a great bonus. Good instructions on the box for cake care, as well as verbally when I collected it. A very professional service overall.

Was thrilled with the cake that I ordered for my husbands birthday. It was quite last minute and Bluebells came through for me especially considering they were in the middle of their Christmas rush. My office has used Bluebells several times for morning teas, farewells etc. The food is delicious and well presented. The little sweet treats are lovely and just the right size for everyone to have a piece. The best thing is they deliver, so there is no travelling and carrying boxes up stairs. We came on time and when they said it would be ready yet they couldn't find our cake and my poor mum was left waiting for it for nearly 40minutes! It's quite expensive and for a special occasion, it's worth it but I definitely think it should be secured internally as this kinda thing really is upsetting for all involved! The cake itself was delicious too but the only let down was the 3 donuts that topped the cake. They were stale and extremely dry so we ended up throwing them away. Came here based on a referral from a friend that the cakes were "good". Unfortunately I was disappointed that there weren't enough items to buy from the shelf - my bad cos I came at around 2pm. Even the lemon slice came out unevenly cut, okay first world problems but if I had to fork over $5 for a slice I should get my money's worth. The raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was OK - the texture was almost jelly-like rather than the traditional creamy cheesecake filling we expected, and the flavour was more subdued than we'd have preferred, and mostly in the fruity topping. Picked up the cake on Friday 2pm and our event was 5pm same day but there was an error made with the icing colour although I had made a special note on the online order form. As would expect I wasn't happy with this oversight and called the head office. The reception and customer service is very accommodating over the phone and you genuinely feel there excitement over a simple call where I was organising my wife's 30th birthday cake. 2. The site where you order the cake is very easy to pick up and user friendly. Nothing to complicated, which is nice when your busy with work and you just want to jump on it. 3. I received prompt calls as to what I was going to expect and all the while was being advised the best options for the cake. 4. Bought a selection of treats for my mother’s 50th iso birthday. Ordering process was straight forward and adding menu changes were also made with ease. Birthday girl loved it all - especially her orange and almond slice. We had a range of ciabatta baps, all very delicious and serving size a lot bigger than expected. Chicken sausage rolls were also very yummy along with the Kumara salad. You must try the fresh cream doughnuts, a little pricey but worth every cent. Melting moments and cupcakes were a hit with the kids. Birthday cake was banana and salted caramel, and that also went down a treat with the family. Got a the 4 inch drizzle cake to celebrate our registry wedding, it was gorgeous. It was to feed four people and when I rang to ask a question they suggested we go bigger as it would be very small slices of cake, but because of the height a small slice is a lot of cake.
