S.Best Potato Top in Auckland. Even wrote "last potato top" on the label. It's made with real mash not instant and is seriously heavy. Probs nudging a tidy 800g-1000g. Did I mention cheese on top? Tastes like a proper wee cottage pie.
L.Best bakery ever! I used to live across the road from this bakery, and consequently frequented it! We call it 'Tui's bakery' as that's the owners name. My favourite pie is the steak and kumara and I love the little smoked fish bread roll-ups. For dessert, I can't resist the chocolate eclair or, in the summer, the strawberry tarts are yum!!
m.One of my favourite bakeries in Auckland, beautifully made pies! Like the best I have eaten in Auckland! No jelly like a lot of places. Cream donuts wow! And I also love their custard cinnamon donuts, their American hotdogs, apricot and custard danish and of course their custard pies with fresh strawberries on top!! Also super friendly ❤️

L.Love the old fashioned made and taste of their slices and cakes. Neopolitans to Die for and custard and vanilla slices are sooooo good. Expect to see your eyes widen as well as your waist when you eat here. Pies are excellent and if you are early enough they do a ham and cheese bun type thing which is gorgeous.

L.I love this bakery, have followed it since it was further down the road and then in Grey Lynn, now back in western Springs I have been going to this shop for the last 28 years at least.. Cream is always fresh, quiche are great, caters for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Bread rolls are always fresh. Love their fish rolls and hot dogs, always friendly and helpful service. Parking is in front of shop but is busy, there are side streets.
V.Love going there. The food is fresh and well presented. Coffee and hot chocolate Devine and you can eat there and relax. The staff are very happy helpful and delightful to engage. Thetky make the best vanilla squares. Yum and fresh pastry and savouries. Just wished they were closure to my home as I would be there daily.
C.One of the best cream doughnuts you will ever have. Their cakes are legendary. Their smoke fish toast is so yum. What can I say, a bit more expensive then their competitors but worth it, especially as a treat or for a special occasion. Been around for years. Legend!!!
C.Best bakery around, cream donuts are heaven. Good selection of cakes and savoury items. They have tables and chairs inside so you can sit and have coffee with the bakery items you've purchased. The service is always quick and all staff very friendly and welcoming. Reasonable prices too. Top place for quality, service and value.

D.This bakery makes the best apple squares. Baked on the premises and there pizza squares are yummy. You have to get in quick as they are always gone before 11am and that is daily. The customer service is great friendly and always welcoming. There may be a English barrier with one of there latest staff but if you are clear and slow in speaking she has a lovely manner to her customer service and a little patience is good for the soul. The eat in needs a refurbishment to its appearance which would increase in there sales with there selection of pies, pizzas, cakes, rolls, buns and coffee, tea, drinks etc. They have a selection of pre cake orders. Saigon's Homemade cakes, pies, bread etc, are fresh and delectable to eat. Once they run out that's it. Try Saigon cafe open Tuesday to Saturday. Easy access from driving on the main road and parking up front or around the cnr. Happy to make the drive to this cafe.
D.Went into bakery at 11am and all the fresh bread sold out and also most of the pastries.And when you end up buying from here you will know why this bakery is so popular.
The food is fresh and looks tempting.I bought the bacon and egg slice and tasted scrumptious ..i also bought an apple doughnut which the filling had a good portion of apple.
Not like one of the bakery i recently went to they and 1 small piece of apple.

Try get there early so get to see most of what they sell as you have limited options from 11am.

A.Asked a work colleague about a year ago where the department got their cakes from and She gave me the name 'Saigon Pasadena'. After absolutely enjoying the tasty, moist, finger licking good cakes at every department celebration, I finally got down to the shop. I cant stand pies, but, I ended up buying one here and went back for seconds! The cake failed to disappoint. Don't leave it for a year to check it out, go in today and taste what I mean. .
