B.Bought the cake jars as gift a couple of times. Forgot to get myself some to try them. Their items look tasty. I ordered online and picked up at the shop. They have a driveway which I used for pick ups (hopefully allowable) on Minnie Street. Just keep an eye out for their flag and its on the corner.
s.Absolutely in debt to Sweet Talk Cakes for their amazing cake and mini cupcakes for our baby shower today. When I went to pick up the cake Mariska realised I had booked for the wrong date (total baby brain) and graciously offered to whip up the cake and cupcakes for us for today, even though it was my mistake and today should have been a day off. We are beyond grateful for this and were blown away with the cake and cupcakes which looked and tasted amazing! They were devoured and enjoyed by all. Thank you so much! You not only saved me a hormonal heart attack but really made our baby shower very special. Both the cupcakes and cake were tasty and gorgeous! I would highly recommend to anyone!

D.Quite disappointed that the cake jars I purchased for a special occasion were frozen and required to be thawed before consumption. This would somewhat make sense if they were to be couriered, but I collected in store.
At the price of $15 per jar and the website not indicating otherwise, one would reasonably expect the items to be fresh and ready for consumption.
In saying that, once they were fully thawed, the sponge was springy fresh and flavours complimented each other well.
P.I ordered a cake from here to pick it up today for my mum's b'day. When I went there to collect the cake, they didn't have one because I ordered it for a week after. This was completely my fault for not double checking the date. However, the lady at the shop made my order right on the spot. If it wasn't for her I would've been driving around to find another cake. Thank you so much! Excellent customer service! Cake was moist and tasty as well! It was my first time trying it, and would definitely go back for more next time. Thank you again to the lady who quickly made a cake for me. I really appreciate your diligent response to an unexpected situation, which you didn't have to do since it was my fault. But you went beyond. I sincerely appreciate your help. Thank you.
A.My husband recently ordered their white chocolate and raspberry deli cake for my 30th birthday in lockdown. This is the first time we were ordering from them and were excited that they delivered in Level 4. The cost of the cake also seemed reasonable.
Upon delivering, the person who delivered the cake handed it to one of my neighbours instead of calling/contacting my husband (he gave his email and mobile number). Imagine my surprise when my neighbour knocked on my door, stating that the delivery girl passed the cake to his wife at the gated entrance of our compound as she did not know what to do with it. We were a bit sceptical about this (considering we did pay an additional $18 for our delivery on top of the cake cost). We do live in a gated community so delivery can be a little tricky so we always say to call us when they arrive, which everyone has done so far. Thankfully, the neighbour that the delivery person gave it to was someone who we personally knew so the cake did get to us! We did not want to imagine what would've happened if it ended up in the wrong hands!
Aside from that, the cake itself was incredibly moist and delicious! Even though it was small, a slice would fill you up pretty easily! We thoroughly enjoyed it and it made my birthday in lockdown a better one!
I notice that this bakery does sell a huge range of other delicious treats which we will be eager to try in the future. However I personally feel the delivery service could be improved. Please note that this is my personal experience... it may just be a one off incident!
A.Great service. I love the cake in the jar. Beautiful buttercream and cake was moist and delicious.
I also bought a couple of donuts and eventhough they were nice and soft, nothing too special about them.

Picked up 2 halloween donuts and 4 cupcakes and everything was great! Especially the cupcakes, moist fluffy cake and the fluffiest icing I've ever had. Will definitely have to buy one of the full sized cakes in the future
P.What can I say - I have sent cake jars as presents and people were so pleased with them and said they were fantastic. The service is flawless, it is easy to order and now I have ordered more for my mum's birthday and I get to have one at last!!!! This is now my go to birthday surprise for friends and family - THANK YOU SWEET TALK!!!! Cheers Penny
S.I ordered cake jars from Sweet Talk a few weeks ago and they were beautiful - they arrived quickly and safely, and I love them on so many levels! How great is it, being able to send happiness around the place, including straight to yourself? If you need a gift - this is your gift. It‘s fun and beautiful and delicious, and a pretty secure way to send a cake.
P.Absolutely dead chuffed just to see the excited expression of delight on my son's face by video and pics sent to me from my son and his partner after receiving his cake beautifully made and delivered by "Sweet Talk" The cake looked absolutely amazing, I found ordering online was seamless and so easy to navigate through, the only difficulty was choosing the flavour cake as all looked so lush and scrumptious, I think the pic with the elegant hand holding a a generous slice of sheer drizzled decadence did it for me!!! My son and his family loved their cake. Will definitely order again in the near future...Thank you and huge blessings, Arohanui xx
C.I have ordered 3 cakes through Sweet Talk, they are always amazing. My brother then went on to use her for his wedding cake, which was the most stunning wedding cake we have even seen.
Mariska has been so professional and helpful throughout my years of buying her cakes/ and other yummy food.
Highly recommend her to anyone! 5 stars!
R.I've had really positive experiences with Sweet Talk -- lovely products with great communication, would definitely recommend. One thing I would like in future is the option for plain cardboard recyclable packaging as I am unsure how biodegradable/recyclable the shiny print cardboard they use is.

L.Bought jar cakes for a friend's birthday (during level 4 lockdown), she enjoyed most of the flavours (smores, red velvet and espresso) but thought the raspberry lemon one was mostly lemon curd flavour no raspberry. However the biggest let down was their customer service/delivery.
1) I wanted to use a 10% discount code which I forgot to enter during checkout but they didn't let me use it when I emailed them right after the order is completed. OK minor issue that's on me.
2) Then the delivery was one day late, which they said was NZ Post problem. I get it but they should probay make it clear as it sounds like they expected/know this will happen. They could have let customer know so they can select delivery date earlier. I also know service like NZ Courier was not experiencing delay this lockdown..
3) When it did arrive, the wrong message was inside the box, i.e. message from another customer! Not to mention the note was printed on a piece of sticker paper stuck on the inside of the box poorly. Because of the wrong message, my friend felt she was receiving/eating gift meant for someone else.
4) I emailed the company and let them know but they weren't very helpful/sympathetic, and did not read my email properly. I had thought I was dealing with a small baker business but this experience made me felt like I was brushed aside like by a big company 😑
Therefore I hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

K....if you’re looking for a cake, then you NEED one from Sweettalk! After discussing concepts I was surprised with an amazing two cake with adjoining rainbow for my boy/girl twins first birthday 🌈 Not only did it look incredible, but it delivered on taste too! We are here eating it days later and it’s still as moist as it was on day one! 💕
I have also previously had the cake jars - these are perfect for yourself or as a gift. The lemon and raspberry is extra YUM! 💛
Will definitely be ordering from Sweet talk for future cake needs!
