Welder Location - we are using Grizzly for our wedding desserts. They have offered to create donut flavours for us, and are putting together a tasting box ahead of time. I was so surprised with their amazing level of service considering their reasonable prices! Plus their treats are delicious! So so happy they will be a part of our special day.

Incredibly high quality baked goods and coffee. Excellent, friendly service. The best place in Christchurch to grab a sandwich, coffee & a pastry for lunch, plus some bread to take home, any (or every) day of the week. Grizzly ticks all of the boxes flavour and quality wise, as well as being a very community minded, caring company who treat their customers and staff with respect. Can’t wait for Easter so I can eat their famous hot cross buns again.

I love grizzly so much!! I don’t live in Christchurch but any time I visit I have to go, it’s non negotiable. Their everything croissants and cheesy mite scrolls are amazing if you’re not in the mood for something sweet! But their donuts are also incredible. Coffee is also very good and their seating at the welder is awesome. Highly recommend! Wish they’d open in Wellington next 😅

I love this place! The bread is excellent, especially the roast potato sourdough and the focaccia, the donuts are always yummy and the new peach danish is to die for! Staff are always lovely and super friendly. And they deliver! Definitely recommend Grizzly for all your bread and sweet treat needs.

Grizzly is an absolute icon in Christchurch - highly reccommend visiting either of their stores or the market. The sourdough is fantastic, the service is always great and the coffee is 👌👌 Highly reccommend their Cheeseymite scroll, Chickpea Sandwich and the Superseed Sourdough!

Grizzly bakery gets national attention for a reason. Everything is absolutely on point! Even the menu items at the Welder are excellent. We’re always excited for new things that come out and our favourite is the twice baked croissants on the weekends. Drroooollll

Love Grizzly! My favourite is their Buchan Street store, such a cute wee hole in the wall. Great service (even have a step stool for us shorties that can't see what we're doing lol) and the baked goods are INCREDIBLE. Totally recommend their pizza kits too which you can order online. Best sourdough ever, and the eggy bagels are heaven.

One of Ōtautahi’s culinary gems. The selection of offerings is always changing, and we stop in frequently to get treats before we head into the hills on tramping missions. Great spot and easy to access just off Brougham Street. The service is always friendly, and every time I’ve been recently they’ve been great at checking out vaccine passes… big thumbs up 👍🏻

I missed lunch, so a colleague bought me a chickpea sandwich from your welder store. I would never in a million years have bought myself a chickpea sandwich! Mind blown! Hands down the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Thanks for making such wonderful kai. J

The most delicious donuts and sandwiches in Christchurch! Yet to try any of their baked goods that aren’t 5 star delicious, big fan of the range of donut flavours and the eggy breakfast.

Our whole whānau loves Grizzly! We have been regular customers for many years to the point it doesn’t feel like Christmas without our yummy Grizzly goods in the morning. I like the pace of service from the friendly team, you’re never rushed, they take the time to talk to you and to make sure you have all the delicious treats you came to get. A true Christchurch institution. Keep up the good mahi team!

Can't quite pick a favorite item. Mood dependent. Sour dough is da bomb. Sandwiches at the Christchurch market know a Saturday, a staple. Watching my son Max eat a pan au chocolate top down, priceless.

The donuts are amazing!! They are also at the Christchurch Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Whenever I see one of their donuts on sale somewhere it takes a concerted effort not to buy one and wolf it down immediately. They also do breads, sandwiches and other pastries.

Great coffee and absolutely unmatched food. Lemon poppy morning buns and seed sourdough are forever my favourite!

The bread is great! But the service is appalling! At the Riccarton Market they are always the last to set-up their stall and once they open the service is painfully and unnecessarily slow. If it wasn’t for the great bread I would never buy from them!

Number one go to spot, amazing selection of sandos (sandwiches) my favourite being the eggy breakfast and delicious sweet and savoury pastries and their cookies- a must, best cookies I’ve ever had, only thing is to always get the before 12 before the sellout on the lunch rush

Everything is delicious and the coffee and croissant combo is surely the best way to spend $6 in all of Christchurch.

The cheesymite scrolls have 3 types of cheese, sesame seeds and are made with croissant dough. Amazing!

This bakery never fails my carb needs. Pretty much everything is awesome here! Their sandwiches/filled bagels are delicious and fresh and their pastries are always in point. Their breads are amazing too. Highly recommend that you pop by.

we tried their croissants , bagels, apricot and almond donut, multi grain sourdough and walnut and fig sourdough from Bucchan shop.every single one was on the money, definitely standout from the crowd. croissants were folded in generously with just enough of butter. candied outer glaze and moist buttery inner layers. there are good croissants in christchurch. but theirs are better. bagels were light and chewy. donut was delicious with flavors and textures without the oversweetness. sourdoughs had enough nuts, bite and the beatiful smell after popping out of the toaster to justify the price of loaf everyone is charging. coffees can use a tuneup. Top efforts for the baked goods. love your work. earlier opening hours would be epic over the weekends

Delicious assortment of bagel sandwiches along with baked goods and fresh bread. There was a queue 10 minutes before they opened and stayed busy the entire time we were there. One of our favorite spots during our time in New Zealand.

Hands down best bakery I've ever been too. Great selection of sweet pastries and a variety of breads. Rye chocolate chip cookies are to die for, be warned you will have to go back for more! Super friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic bakery . Very hipster . Food is fantastic however only filter coffee available and a latte to dunk a bear claw pastry in would make it a 5 star . Nigella rated the sourdough the best in ChCh .

This place goes so much further than being good, it's phenomenal! I am a rather picky eater and find it really hard to find things I like so I am very pleased after 6 years of living in christchurch I have found a place that I love. Prices are high however you are paying for quality and supporting a chain of local businesses.

Delicious fresh sourdough! We had the grain sourdough but there were so many sourdough flavour options, as well as delicious looking pastries, filled bagels and coffee. A random location but worth calling in!

Was out of most baked goodies when o was there :( No body to coffees.. should be cheaper for what you get - a flat liquidy drink with barely any chocolate in their non frothy mocha.

Got delivery today to try a new eatery and yummm!! The sourdough, donuts, and bear claw were all devoured so quickly by the family -very good treats and even at $6 a donuts are so so so good value.

Omg, that rye chocolate chip cookie! 😍 To die for. Everything on offer makes my mouth water. Staff are lovely and coffees look up to scratch, even though I haven’t tried them yet. A definite must-visit spot!

A bit of a hidden gem. More of an upmarket bakery than others in the area, great looking sandwiches and pastries, good coffee.
