A.Today we had the best toasted panini with chicken, cranberry sauce and cheese. The hot drink also came out with the meal. The food cabinet was full with delicious inviting food. The service was excellent. Top Mark's for this place. We will be back.

S.What a great place! So much variety and something for everyone. Service was fast but not rushed, even though there were lots of people. Didn’t feel hemmed in or overcrowded even though there is plenty of seating. We thoroughly enjoyed our choices from the menu. What really made our visit to Kidd’s memorable though was the excellent customer service we received from Mike. He is a great asset to the team and made our visit even more enjoyable than we anticipated. Thanks Mike. We really appreciated your attention to detail and energy.
S.Went here a while ago. The person on the counter must've been new as they gave us our food in a bag when we requested dine in. Sat down at a table. Had a dirty disposable mask under the table and large pastry flakes under another table. Obviously aren't swept often. Some tables still had dishes on them well after the customer left. Our cutlery wasn't washed properly and had flakes of dried food on them.
Would I go back here? Yes, I'd give them another chance before ruling this place out. The cleanliness is low, but the food selection is extensive.
Lots of hot and cold food. Sandwiches, pastries, pies, cookies, cakes, meals etc and a good selection of hot and cold drinks too.
J.We have ordered many cakes for special occasions from Kidd’s Bakery and have always been absolutely overjoyed with the incredible attention to detail on their beautiful cakes!!! I heard in the news that some people were being especially rude to these wonderful staff during the traffic light restrictions, so I immediately went to Kidd’s website to order goodies for the Christmas season! I can’t wait to pick up these goodies and hope that all the staff have a wonderful holiday season!!

J.Delicious banana cake made by Kidds Cakes for my mother's birthday. Tasted great! Though be warned, it is quite a rich cake - just the way I like it. My fiancée said I didn't take a nice enough photo for the review so I tried to spice things up with a cute photo of the cake by the fire place. So romantic. 😍

Really sad to see antivaxxers trying to lower these ratings because this business is caring for their community ( as they always have actually) . Also sad to read that antivaxxers are abusing the lovely staff here.

R.Meet my friend for brunch here and had a wonderful large meal of Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and spinach on muffins topped with two perfect poached eggs and a generous amount of Benedict sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you for fast service, not even 10 minutes to get our orders. Very friendly polite servers and lovely setting. We were outside by the plants under the tent like shelter. Very busy Cafe obviously popular. 😁👍👏👏
M.We love coming here and the staff are lovely. I do find that it is cold sitting in the cafe though. Many people sitting in the cafe are wearing their outdoor jackets which should not be necessary inside in a cafe. There is a fire but it is almost never on which is a shame because it would make things easier.

A.I recently had a cake made here for a wedding anniversary. The design was based on one of their cakes on their website with a couple of alterations. They did a superb job and the cake surpassed our expectations. On top of that it was delicious. The couple that the cake was made for were delighted with the result.
S.Kidds has been a local favourite for years. Rebuilt on a slightly different site( but still very close to the old site) after all the Christchurch earthquakes, it is now more popular than ever. The pie I chose (from a great range) to take home was superb. Their Hot Cross Buns are amongst the best in New Zealand. Well worth a visit.
T.Great service and a wonderful selection of food. The Barista is fantastic and constantly makes a great coffee. It's also great that you have the option of using the cafe to sit and enjoy a coffee or some wonderful food from the chef or you can come to the bakery for your food and take it away.

Located on Cranford Street it is easy to get to and find. Car parking is not a problem normally. Also yes I think it would be great for kids parties. It is also excellent for grabbing some lunch and running if you are on the move.

A.I found them to be a friendly and helpful group of staff with a wide range of items for sale. They reasonably priced and the food was extremely tasty would recommend you give them a try.

B.Great cakes here. You don't necessarily have to order in advance, they have a selection of basic cakes for between $25 - $60 (ish, I think). They write a message on them in icing for free.
They also have a good selection of bakery food and cafe treats to wat in or take away.

g.Love the mac and cheese balls! Although, the last two times I've had these they've been a bit bland. Maybe add a pinch of cayenne to the cheese sauce or chilli to give it the perfect punch. And I prefer the bacon cut into the pasta instead of a slice layered on top. The cakes and slices always look far too tempting but I've managed to steer clear of those... for now!!
K.Not too impressed with the krispy chicken roll and ham and cheese toastie. Both were cold in the middle after being heated up. Absolutely loved the chocolate mud cake and banana cake though 😋

Went back to the restaurant and was not disappointed. Absolutely beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. A bit of a wait but worth it as the place was packed and definitely book or you could miss out.
S.They have a wide range of cake types and flavours. They do it for all occasions, can print pictures on the cakes & design the cakes in many different shapes. I was rather interested in the one shaped like a pool table, and it was reasonably priced so Its rather great. I changed my order several times too and the staff were helpful and very patient.

The cake was delicious and the birthday notes were printed so well on the box.

V.If you wanna have a great breakfast , that’s the place either for take away or to eat it there. They have a very wide range of sweets and salty items from sandwiches to pies, muffins, cakes and bread.
Staff is very friendly and they provide a very good service.
They also do cakes by order , you have to try it !!!

T.If you're after Luke warm food and Luke warm coffee this is the place to come, food is just like every other cafe out there, pies are ho-hum, sausage rolls are boring and bordering on flavorless. Staff are friendly and the place itself is nice to sit in.
R.We ordered a large mud cake for a celebration. It was very tasty, moist, and gorgeously decorated! We placed the order online and they were no hassle at all to deal with. Good value too. The only thing to watch is where to park when you pick things up, since they don't have a car park. Recommended!

d.I ordered a cake for our 8th Wedding Anniversary for 13th December, it was beautiful, everyone loved it all of our guests. And im ordering another cake for my son's First Birthday Party for 26th if they are open.
S.Amazingly good food, however you do have to pay the price for it! If you want a coffee in a hurry and they've got a few customers in the store I wouldn't recommend it but for grabbing a sammie, pie or toasted panini in passing they can't be beat!
Ooh and if you have a sweat tooth stay away from their absolutely delish cakes and sweets cabinet or you'll be going home broke

w.Just bought a cake for my son's 9th birthday and it was exactly what I wanted. I sent them a picture of what I wanted and sent me back and idea they had done before. It was easy to work with them and they helped so much! The cake was delicious, would recommend to anyone

K.A popular bakery, with cafe attached. They offer a range of bakery foods, but specialise in pies, for which they have a strong local following. Well worth a visit. There are road works outside which can make driving in and out a challenge.

N.(Translated) See a large bakery with a large selection. But find it a bit too big for my taste and therefore also a bit confusing for the staff. The tables were not very clean at the time, there were still crumbs on many tables, which we don't find so tragic.
There is also a selection of gluten free items that were delicious.

Seht große Bäckerei mit großer Auswahl. Finde es aber für meinen Geschmack etwas zu groß und dadurch auch etwas unübersichtlich auch für das Personal. Die Tische sind zu unserem Zeitpunkt nicht ganz sauber gewesen, es befanden sich noch Krümel auf vielen Tischen, was wir aber nicht so tragisch finden.
Auch gibt es eine Auswahl an Gluten freien Sachen, die sehr lecker waren.
Im Aussenbereich gibt es ebenfalls einige Sitzgelegenheiten.
