R.I went back here after a flying visit a few months ago. Coffee was fine, we both had the bacon and egg roll. People were very nice, and they were very nice to our guide dog puppy. I want to go back for another pie some time.
H.Home style vegetarian and vegan dishes. Relaxed and laid back, don't expect fast service. Good wholesome food.
N.These guys came over and gave complimentary coffees and food to the Teams working at the COVID Testing at Pohe Island this week. Great Community Spirit and great coffee and food - the kumara pie was apparently amazing. Thanks guys!
R.We visited friends in Kerikeri this 2019 Easter and on our way back to Auckland called into the Handsome Frog for a coffee. We noticed the pies in the warmer and they looked just so good so decided to take 4 home. Well we had them for dinner with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy. We have got some pretty good pie places in Auckland, but these pies are something else. We got 3 brisket beef and one Mexican beef. Without a doubt the four of us had never had a pie like this ever. The meat was so tender and there was so much of it. If you live in Whangarei, you would be so lucky to have this place on your doorstep. If you are from outside Whangarei like we are, visit this place next time you travel through. These would have to be the best pies we have ever tasted. Good on you guys for producing such an outstanding pie.

M.I love this place, its my favourite Whangarei lunch cafe. Every item I buy whether its mushroom fettuccine, beef nachos, mushroom pie or the multiple tasty salads is always flavourful & tasty.

S.Staff are pleasant and helpful. Not a great variety of counter food, but there is a menu. Coffee is good.
L.We came here today and really liked it. The staff is really friendly and the good as well. They have a lot of vegan options. Would def. come here again.
