Simon takes great pride out of making sure it's perfect before he let's you get up from the chair. The service, quality and banter means waiting for 30 minutes is no problem at all. Won't go anywhere else

Family trip to Nelson and had some spare time for a cheeky faaaade. Highly recommend stopping in and visiting the boys at stormys for a haircut. Got a 10/10 zero fade touch up and a beer to go with it. Great service and highly recommend!

Didn't get a beer, but an excellent Taylor who wrestled with an out-of-control beard and made me a candidate for polite society. I can't believe how much time each of the barbers/barberesses spends on their client. I came out thinking "Where do I go when I'm not in Nelson or do I go feral and let her take control when I'm back". Marks out of 10? 11. Or 12

Thanks sooooo much to the staff!! It was busy and a long wait for our cuts but we really enjoyed them. Went above and beyond: I left my wallet there and couldn’t find it anywhere - then a staff member came by my house and dropped it to me! Really appreciate that guys will never forget that

Great haircut! Thanks heaps to Brent, the stylist who sent me out looking so much better than when I went in. I wonder if others share my experience? When you go into the barbers, they ask what you would like. Then they carry on and give whatever cut is currently in fashion. Brent asked what I wanted, then he made suggestions, then he set to work. Pleasant chat throughout and a great result. If, like me, you don't want to have the same haircut as everyone else on the street, see Brent at Stormys.

This is a great place for men to hang out for a haircut. I had to wait a while but I didn't mind as the atmosphere here is great.

My first-class experience started as soon as I arrived. I was expecting to wait a bit because Stormy's is so popular and can be super busy with all seats full and a waiting list. If you do have to wait there are puzzles, magazines, comics, games and beers for the adults or you can write your name on the board to reserve your spot in the queue and come back later. People go there because the staff pride themselves to go out of their way to give the best haircut possible. I timed it perfectly and was warmly greeted by the lovely Keana who took me to her chair. Keana treated me to what felt like the ultimate VIP special edition barber experience and I was impressed by her attention to detail and the excellent result. Give Stormy's a try and you'll never go anywhere else.

I have been getting fantastic service for years, back when you were up above the Farmers building, I have been a customer for the last ten years. Kyle, Shawn and Craig always offer fantastic banter and deliver a quality cut or shave. the chair side manner of another staff member left a sour taste the last several times, had hoped maybe it would improve but alas, this time I didn't make it past the counter. The culture here has always been fantastic but I would be careful that one bad apple doesn't spoil the barrel.

This place was so good that I think I will travel to Nelson whenever I need a haircut. The wonderful barber who attended to me, Keana, was absolutely superb. I will ask for her in future.

This place is awesome for haircuts. Very classic looking barbershop with beer on offer. Very friendly staff who know what they are doing. Really enjoyed getting my haircut here and the staff were very helpful in helping me with a haircut that'd suit me. Stormy’s Mancave Barbershop is quite frankly brilliantly laid out, and beautifully set up. It was recommended to me by some friends I was visiting in Nelson as I needed a haircut. Visiting from the UK on holiday I didn’t know what to expect - but what I got was the pinnacle of cool. It was busy, but there were plenty of comics (yes COMICS!!!) to read whilst I waited, the deco is awesome - with a mix of everything and a little quirky. It is completely different to what I’m used to back in the UK, and Simon - my Barber - was also from England; he listened to what type of cut I wanted made some suggestions and did an amazing job. He also had made in stitches at times, especially with the banter between the other barbers. The vibe of the whole place is welcoming, relaxed and when I left all the barbers said goodbye and wished me luck on my travels. A genuine place, with genuine friendly and helpful staff, cannot rate this place high enough!

Came in for a haircut and a beard trim/shape, the shop itself is really cool, my barber was very friendly and professional plus he did a great job! Will definitely be back

Great experience. Barbershop is located on the second floor. There is a pool table and free drinks (beer, water, Red Bull, etc). Today there were 5 barbers and line was moving quick! Haircut was sharp and detailed. Great vibe inside the shop.

A real guy's barbershop. A beer is on offer when you arrive. No appointments, just put your name on the chalkboard and enjoy the ambience, or have a game of pool!

Awesome barbershop. I stress over my hair, specifically finding a good barber, and when I moved to Nelson, and went to Stormy's, I was stoked to have found a shop that ticks all the boxes. Great barbers, good price, cool shop and chill environment. Highly recommend.

These guys are absolutely awesome. Had my first cut and beard trim after five weeks of neglect. I walked out of Stormy's Man Cave after the cut, a beer, and some chilled yarns feeling like a new man. This place will be a sure stop for me whenever in Nelson.

Quick, and easy hair cut, barber knew EXACTY what i wanted and it stilk looks amazing 3 weeks afer, even did a quick beard trim ( small teenage beard so not like a full on beard ) would recommend highly

The only place I go and the only place I recommend any man to go. They have everything you need including (but not limited to) Comic books, a pool table, dart board (and a lil one for the lil men in our lives) those metal logic puzzles that confuse the hell out of me and heaps more. Give them a try if you haven’t already, you won’t regret it 😁
