What a great experience from a real pro. I was so appreciative getting in right away after arriving in Auckland. I felt I was in good hands right from the beginning. Very reassuring as a 1st time client to see the other clients good friends and been with him for 20+years. Great color, style and coffee ...all at very reasonable fair price.

Whenever i need my hair done i go to 101 and wouldnt go anywhere else. Too many dodgey hairdressers out there that lack that wow factor. Neils experience in the industry is way up there with the very best hair stylists. Often i appear at the salon after much neglect and regrowth to my mop Neil always manages to fix whether a color or cut most of the time both is required. He makes it seem effortless although its often not im sure. The cost is always way less than any hairdresser out there in the Auckland market. Love this place with Neil personalizing every cut making you feel amazing both inside and out. Highly recommended for sure x

I had a hair appointment with Neil. He came recommended to me from a friend of a friend. All I can say is WOW!!! One of the Best haircuts I have had in a long time. He is definitely TopNotch Lots of experience as you will see. There were clients that were there before me and while I was there also several clients coming in to book there next appointment. When I get back to Auckland I will without a doubt go see Neil for a new style cut. Couldn’t be happier

I’ve been going to the salon since 2000 and Neil has been my only hair stylist ever since. He is very experienced and knows how to handle different types of hair. I am always pleased with his work and come out 100% satisfied. I highly recommend this place.

After being a regular client with Neil and his lovely crew I moved away for work commitments and in that time I tried a few different Hairdressers closer to where I lived but just was not satisfied with the results. On Saturday I decided I didn't care about the distance. I made an appointment with Neil and it felt so good to leave it up to him to cut and color my hair with the usual fantastic results. I have had more comments about my hair in the last few days at how fabulous it looked I am sure Neil will be getting a few new clients. I highly recommend this Salon to anyone who wants great results.

I have been going to Salon 101 for over 30 years and I love it. The owner is the nicest guy you could ever meet you get the best services and the staff are great too. The best haircuts in the CBD...would recommend this place 100%

Really impressed, Neil took seconds to suss my hair needs (it's very fine and needed shaping and thinning to help create volume). After the friendly Susan shampooed it, Neil blow waved it then cut, and I love the result. I've had some nice compliments from colleagues, and one even booked an appointment for herself! Neil also offered me great advice on conditioning and product needs for my hair, as well as colour treatments. All this in 30 minutes during my lunch break - fantastic. Thanks Neil and Susan, see you again :-)

I had been rejected earlier in the day by a different salon whose owner told me that she didn't feel comfortable doing my hair after changing her mind 3 times and acting as if she was surprised about my appointment. Very strange. Since I was flying out the next day I needed to take care of it quickly. I called Salon 101 and they got me in right away. I even received a shellac manicure while waiting for my color to take. I showed Neil, who has been doing this since 1987, a picture of the haircut and color that I had before and it turned out perfect. He's amazing. He just took one look at that picture and knew exactly what to do. He is expert level in my opinion and made my hair look and feel amazing. In the end I'm so glad it worked out that way and the other salon did not work on my hair. I highly recommend Neil.
