Fantastic. Lovely ambience, Glynnis is an excellent hairdresser and the fact they have an actual barrista making your complementary drink is just the icing on the cake.

My friend and I went to get our hair done by Tuscany a couple of months ago and it was the best cut and salon experience I’ve ever had! Tuscany listened and checked in to make sure the cut was to my liking. She’s such a wonderful conversationalist as well! I moved back to the States, but I wish I could teleport just for her to cut my hair.

The best salon in Christchurch, and I have been to many. I have been to a couple of stylists at GM, usually supervised by Mike, and they have always provided consistent and exceptional service (with particularly complex colours also). They also do a great haircut. I wish I wasn't moving overseas as, after years of searching, have finally found my go to hairdresser.

I have a great experience at GM Hair Design. Their new premises are spacious and light-filled (with a cafe and a swing!) and you can park at the door. Mike is my stylist and he quickly understood what I was wanting and let me know what would be required to achieve it. What impressed me most was when a section of colour wasn't quite right he offered to fix it for free (most people wouldn't be able to tell). He's more of an artist than a hair stylist. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful salon. I've been going to them for nearly 20 years. Personable, friendly and more like part of the family. Great hair products too. Love Mike's texturising creme. Love Glynis' short cuts. Not always easy to find someone reliable on a short style.

I really enjoy the ambience of the salon. It’s fresh & relaxing - even when they are busy. My haircuts are getting better & better every time I go. Yuki really understands what I like & my hair looks great when I leave but it’s also very easy for me to maintain at home.

I’ve been going to GM for over 10 years because they’re talented, experienced and make you feel right at home. I’ve had so many different hairstyles/ colours over the years and always walk out of the salon feeling pampered and confident.

Wonderful atmosphere/ambience in the spacious salon and friendly excellent hairdressers. Great coffee too.

Mike & Glynis provide a service that is a cut above the rest of the competition in Christchurch. Friendly and extremely knowledgable about their craft which shows in the great creations that they are renowned for. Visit them first before you see anybody else. After you have you will not be wanting to go anywhere else for your hair care needs!!

Always enjoy catching up with Mike......and very happy with my cut.

When I moved to Christchurch I asked around who is the best, one name came back from numerous people, GM Hair Design. It's still the same case all these years later.
