Went to Zaga for the first time today and got my hair cut by Peter. He did an amazing job! Went above and beyond to explain how to style and manage my hair. Such a great result, friendly and lovely place I would recommend to everybody :)

Jacky's been my hairdresser for over 4 years - top quality haircut every time! Also appreciate the advise he gave on how to style my hair. Salon is very beautiful. Highly recommend.

I've been having Edison cut my hair for about a year. He is very friendly, professional and informative. He gives very professional and reasonable advices how to cut/style my hair. Very reasonably priced and always happy with my hair. Highly recommended!

Thanks Jacky for giving me the exact hair colour I wanted. Zaga is definitely my best go-to place to visit for hair needs and I 100% recommend it. It’s affordable, provides high-quality services with exceptionally good staff.

Peter is amazing (and so are the rest of the boys). Peter transformed my hair into the exact colour I want and explained the process very well, he also give good advice on how to maintain it. My hair is really hard to work with, need a lot of color correction and generally damaged. He was very patience and let the time does its job.

Had Peter cut and colour my hair today and... oh my... What an amazing talent he is! He talked me through everything he was doing and gave me the most beautiful cut. I feel quite smug because I've finally found the perfect stylist. Judging by the quality of cuts that I saw today, the whole team are amazing!

Peter has been absolutely amazing!!! I came in with damaged box bye black hair and he has transformed it into gorgeous brown/blonde in an afternoon with a whole heap of patience and knowledge. The first hairdresser I have ever had who has explained every step in detail and has chosen to help me achieve the look I want. Peter is an absolute gem!!! Fantastic salon with great music and an extensive drink menu to boot. Value for money is beyond compare.

Served by Peter and his service was amazing. He was very professional and I was informed well throughout the process, the result of my hair was fantastic! It definitely was worth of the money I paid for. The shop was clean and rest of the staffs were welcoming and kind too. I enjoyed experience with this place, highly recommend it for others to try.

Peter Tong was awesome! Took lots of care and was very honest about what I could and couldnt do with my hair and then he took the time to explain in full how to do it on my own to achieve the desired effect. Im new to Christchurch from Wellington so will definately be making Peter my regular stylist from now on!

I have accidentally known this salon early last year when I had my haircut somewhere and not satisfied with it that I need to have it repaired. Thankfully that I saw it while ordering for my bubble tea and gave it a try. Oh well, Im glad I did. I had my haircut with haircolor and I am very satisfied with the result. Since then, I have trusted them with my hair needs. The products they use are of quality as well as the service is superb. I had my birthday hair treat again for today and Im so delighted with the outcome. the price is worth it. Definitely recommended if youre looking for a quality yet still affordable hair transformation. Had Soi today as my hair dresser, super patient and is welling to communicate ideas using various methods, such as pictures, previous work done and drawings. Very detail and thorough. Love the cut and the colour! Will definitely come again for other hair designs.

The guys here are great. I am always greeted with a big smile when I walk in. They also do a great job with my hair, which many other hair dressers I've gone to in Christchurch have found difficult to work with.

The staff at Zaga are very polite and professional, I highly recommend the place . Got my 'haircut and aura hair treatment'. I absolutely love the result. Aura is an amazing cruelty free, formaldehyde free hair conditioning treatment, totally recommend the treatment too. Will definitely go back.

I start going to Zaga since I moved to CHCH one and half year ago. Now I am one of their regular customer. I think those boys are passionate of hair cutting, and they set a high standard for what they are doing. BTW I really love the new shop interior design!

Peter dyed my hair red from black, and it turned out sooo much nicer than I could have ever imagined! The other hairdressers there were very nice and friendly, made me feel like so comfortable to be there for the 5+ hours it took 🥲 I would definitely recommend this place!

As it was my first time to have my hair permed since I came to nz I was very careful to choose a hair salon. I had consultations with several hair designers in Christchurch and Soi Yun was the only one who wanted to know the condition of my hair. After checking, she was pretty sure what I needed and even on the day of my appointment, she thoroughly checked my hair again. From her well-explained advice and suggestions, I could tell how professional she was. I am very satisfied with my hair and my husband also liked it so he made an oppointment right away with Soi for the next week. Thank you so much for your quality service, Soi :)

got my hair permanently straightened here a few months ago, definitely worth investing your money into this hair salon especially with the high quality products they use. for the length of my hair, the price was affordable and the customer service I received while I was in the salon was amazing. I’ve recommended friends and family and definitely recommend anyone else to go here whether you’re getting a treatment done or just a simple hair cut.

Best hair salon ever, so friendly staff and they know what exactly your hair needs. Jacky is the best hair stylist in town if you wanna make a change to your hairstyle, they are great with colors and permanent curls, of course straightening as well, specialized for Asian dark hard hair! Our whole family visit them regularly for haircuts, never disappoint.

This hair salon is located inside the mall. This is not a new hair salon as they used to be situated across this shop. There are 6 cutting and two washing stations. The hair dresser was professional and the one I had was good. The way he meticulously cutting my hair shows that he knows what he is doing. The place is clean, neat and tidy with low congestion. They clean each cutting station after the hair cut. There's no free WiFi. There's no credit card 💳 payment available. There's no pay wave facility. Eftpos and cash payments. Kids friendly There's no specific or dedicated car park area for this hair salon but I do recommend that you avoid the noon 🕛 time ⌚, between 11.30 am to 2 pm. This area is very busy with shoppers. I also highly recommend that you make a booking with your favourite hairdresser. Would I go back? Yes 😀. Well worth a try and you will not be disappointed. Bookings are highly recommended. It was a fantastic experience and the colour was exactly the one I expected for, especially I had coloured my hair black 7 months ago!!! The hairdresser Peter was sooo kind and always provides me with great suggestions!

Had my hair bleached and dyed by Jacky and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a hairdresser. There was a very thorough initial consultation and all throughout the process he was friendly, informative and dedicated to making sure I came away with a result I was happy with. He also took great care of my hair's condition, ironically even after the bleaching and dyeing process, I came out with softer hair than I went in with!

hi Joy S, The one comment in the bottom. I am the client who sat next to you yesterday. The hairdresser who do you hair, is the one who take care of my hair for more than two years in NZ. Firstly no one supposed to understand what in your mind. That's why you need to prepare for your consultation. If you don't know how, you should Google it. You only show him one photo and tell him that's what you don't like. So what are you expecting people to understand about you. He is trying so hard to cut your hair step-by-step and explain to you with a mirror. When he is still working on your hair, your friend comes suddenly and tell him to stop cutting. How rude she is. Shame on her. When you are complaining someone, please think about your behavior and have you even try to prepare well enough before the service. Please don't ruin up a good men's industry.
