Envy salon is a warm and friendly place. Katja was my lovely stylist who listened well, and communicated frequently with me about each step she was taking with my hair. It made me feel very comfortable and heard. The finished cut was executed perfectly and just what I had imagined, therefore I am extremely happy with my experience. Thank you!

I’ve had the pleasure of having had my hair looked after by Amber twice now and I couldn’t be happier! I came to her with practically unsalvageable hair, and she put in so much time and effort to make it beautiful again. Not only is she amazing at what she does but it seems as though she has a genuine passion for it and it really shows. I have been seeing Richard at Envy Hair Salon for nearly ten years. Previously I had been pretty fussy about my hairdresser as I had short coloured hair and I liked to vary it up from time to time (OK nearly every time!). Initially what I liked was the way Richard takes time before every appointment to sit down and check in with me about my hair - not only what I want today but how the last cut worked for me - and how he manages feedback that could be taken as criticism (but is just me refining what I want). Through the years he has worked with me patiently, changing things up when I needed change, going from short to long and back again (several times), working with me on incorporating my grays. I have found him to be honest, adaptive, and willing to work within my budget to get the hair that most suits me. An example of this was when I wanted to get blonde-coloured highlights that could work in with my graying brown hair. He let me know what he could do and how often it would need refreshing (often!) to keep it looking good. We worked out that this was not within my budget. I am so grateful that he was able to think long-term with me, rather than just giving me what I wanted on the day. Thanks, Richard, for your ongoing outstanding service.

I went in for a hair cut and style for my first time at Envy and Ruby looked after me. I have always been a very picky person when it comes to my hair and super wary of going to new places. But I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. Something I loved is that Ruby actually took the time to sit down with me at the start, and go through what I wanted, what my concerns were and how to better look after my hair going forward. She also told me the cost at the start which I really appreciated. I haven't yet had a colour here so cant comment on that, but I will defs be returning for another cut :).

Highly recommend ENVY Salon. I finally got the courage to dye my hair and was super nervous but Monique did an amazing job. When it didn't quite turn out as planned after the first visit she brought me back and made sure it was exactly what I wanted and I'm so happy with it! I am a regular customer and i love it. I always recommend envy. I get compartments about how my hair looks after, even from random people. Its super relaxing the girls are all very professional and friendly feels so good to have a gossip and get an amazing new hair do.

I could not recommend Envy more! I've been looked after by Richard and Ngareta for almost 3 years now and it's been an absolute treat. We've transformed my hair from brunette to blonde whilst keeping the integrity of my hair. It's now longer and healthier than it ever was brunette, and this is a direct reflection of the TLC they give my hair and their expert advise around treatments and at home products. I was so looking forward to have my permanent straightening done, but also a little worried because I wanted it to be perfect. I have not been disappointed!! The staff is very professional and caring. Cherry on the cake for me: cheese and crackers, olives, flat white, served during the wait after the laying of the product...so nice! Elena did a very good job with my hair, she worked 4 hours on them non stop and they are now beautiful, so so soft and very straight like I wanted! Thank you so much Elena! If you are looking for a permanent straightening in Tauranga, this is the place to go! :)

Excellent and professional service! It is fantastic to walk into a salon, explain what you want and walk out with exactly what you wanted!! My stylist was Ngareta and she is fabulous. I love having a consistently good local hair salon to go to and Mel does such a great job managing my mane! My hair has never looked so long, that's how clever she is hah. And I like it how she helps me try out different colours. They're a friendly team there and the salon is always clean and they have great hours.

Steph is amazing! Cool calm and collected when I change my mind about what I want every time I see her! Going through your midlife crisis? Steph can cope! LOL. On top of that she is an excellent cutter, giving me styles that last the distance and are easy to maintain. Love the wine and nibbles when I get my colour (which she does brilliantly - that stuff really nails those greys!). PLUS the atmosphere in the salon is relaxed but jovial at the same time. I made my appointment Online after 9pm one evening. Hoping for a response sometime the following day. Richard responded almost immediately, & I was in for my first appointment at Envy the very next day & I will return. I was made to feel very welcome from Richard, who introduced himself with a firm handshake, & explained how my appointment with Elena was going to progress. Every staff member gave a welcoming smile if they caught eye contact with me, & never hesitated to enquire if they could get me anything while waiting. The towels & cape were nice & snug around my neckline, & changed for another dry one after being at basin. Elena enquired as to the pressure she applied at the basin was not too hard, which I have never had previously. Well done Elena & all the staff at ENVY ! ! ! The tea or coffee made me feel I was at a cafe, not a Hairdresser. WELL DONE !!

I really value my visits to Envy. Richard gives me the same professional consultation every time I go and always manages to make me feel great about myself. The same goes for Jenny who is always welcoming and who will always find the time to personally catch up. Being a busy homeschool mum, this is the one regular appointment I always look forward to.

I used to hate visiting a hairdresser. It was a waking nightmare. But my mother one day recommended Richard at Envy to me, and now I won't let anyone else near my hair! A great cut and colour, and you can feel the expertise from the initial assessment through to the finishing touches. A clear explanation not only of what he is doing but why - everything from making sure my pale skin doesn't look too washed out by a dull colour to bringing out the shape and colour of my eyes with a cut, shaping hair around my glasses, general hair care (without the pushy sales pitch to buy unnecessary product!), and generally how to make dealing with my hair easier. Oh... And how could I forget - there was also the offer of hot or cold drinks (good coffee too!) and a decadent chocolate brownie while my colour was processing. How's that for above and beyond service?! I happily travel from Auckland just to visit Envy. And no more hairdresser nightmares.

Steph winiata has been my daughter's and my hair dresser for the past 6 years I have never looked back she not only does an incredible coloring,cutting and styling of my hair but also teaches me how to care and look after it better. Since my daughter was born she suffered really bad reactions to shampoos on her scalp she didn't want girls to look at her hair. But with steph help advice and surport her hair and scalp is amazing and she one very happy girl.So thank you very much Steph winiata. YOUR AN AMAZING HAIR DRESSER.
