Backstory - I’m 9 months into my BF journey and ended up getting nipple thrush. I was given cream by my GP to treat it but I also had to continue to feed my baby through the treatment which left my nipples sore and cracked.
My friend recommended the cups but said they were expensive but in my opinion they were totally worth it. Within a week of using them (mainly in the evenings and during the night) they were no longer sore and the cracks were pretty much gone. I wish I had known about them in the early days, when I was a new mum!

Thank you Mama Nurture, for bringing Silverettes into New Zealand!
For 5 weeks breastfeeding was agony, with a quarter of my nipple ripped off and not healing. The nipple was colonised by MRSA and had developed contact dermatitis in reaction to any ointment I applied. I spent all day dreading having to feed my baby and could barely eat because I felt so sick at the thought of the next feed. Then my Silverettes were delivered and by the next day the pain had reduced significantly! It still took a few weeks for the wound to close, but the intense pain had gone and being able to feed my baby without feeling panic, nausea, dread and guilt was an incredible relief!

I highly recommend Silverette cups for any breastfeeding mummas! I started using my Silverettes on day one of my breastfeeding journey and I can honestly say I have never had a sore, dry or cracked nipple in the last 9 months of feeding my bub.
I couldn't imagine having to deal with sore nipples along with all the other sore bits and stresses of becoming a mum for the first time.
These cups are a life saver!!

I have recommended these cups to any pregnant woman I see! I have even gifted them to friends and family (being silver, they are so easy to clean) I used my cups from day 1 and am happy to say I had no nipple damage. I have heard such horror stories about terrible cracking and bleeding nipples. Life with a newborn is so challenging, having something like these cups to make your breastfeeding journey as comfortable as possible is a lifesaver.

These are a godsend! I can’t rave about it enough to nearly everyone (moms). For five weeks breastfeeding was really sore due to cracking and bleeding, but once the plunket nurse recommended this, feeding was a bit more comfortable after 24 hours, even more so a few days after! These are a definite investment though of course hesitant at first it would work. Having milk stay in the cups (during letdown) helps with healing too which is a plus. Wish I learned about it weeks prior or during pregnancy so I could’ve prepared and used it as a preventative measure. Breastfeeding should be a comfortable and happy time to bond with your baby and these cups helped me achieve that. Thank you for making these available.

Highly recommend purchasing these cups as a gift for anyone having a baby, they are an absolute lifesaver in the nipple department! I started using them straight away after having a baby and feel extremely lucky to have experienced zero pain/cracking/bleeding etc. If you’re tossing it up before baby comes, just go for it - it will save you having to organise getting them when you already have your hands full caring for a new baby and the rest of your body post birth (let’s keep it real sisters... the ladyparts are going to require some TLC for a few days!!!)

Highly recommend this viking armour for your nips! Has saved a whole lot of pain and let them recover well between feeds. Beautifully constructed too. If you’re on the fence, do it!
Amazing customer service - more supportive than a nursing bra and love supporting a small NZ business

When my daughter was born I had cracked nipples which took 4 weeks to completely heal. Nipple cream was helping but the cracks just didn't have enough time to heal between baby's frequent feeds.
When my daughter was nearly five months I got a cracked nipple again and after 10 days of using nipple cream it wasn't getting better so I tried Silverette NZ's nipple cups. I put them on at 3pm one afternoon and the very next morning the crack was closed and for the first time in 10 days feeding was pain free. What a relief! I wore them for a few more days to be sure it would heal completely which it did and the pain never came back. I still can't believe how amazing they are, it's almost like magic!
I also like how the cups provide instant relief for sore nipples by acting as a shield between the nipple and your clothes. We all know that wearing clothes with a cracked nipple hurts! But the cup take that discomfort away instantly and heal cracked nipples within 24 hours.
I cannot recommend these enough!

I had severe cracked nipples with my son when he was born to the point i was going to stop breastfeeding, i brough silverette cups when he was 3 weeks old after trying everything else i was recommended. Within 3 days of wearing them my nipples were completly healed and now i am ebf with no cracks or pain! I would highly recommend using these

I had a hell of a time when I started breast feeding. I tried nipple shields with no success, and ended up expressing for a while since it was too painful to feed my bub. I got prescribed hydrocortisone and was using that, with limited improvement, when I heard about the Silverettes. I was incredibly sceptical, but decided to take the rather pricey gamble. I have no regrets whatsoever. My nipples have now fully recovered, and in surprisingly quick time considering the magnitude of the damage I was dealing with. I hope these work as well for everyone!
