M.I booked here last minute from out of town. I chose Thao, we briefly consulted and I had some photos to show, the cut I wanted was a change definitely not just a trim. Thao did a very nice service, from the wash bowl to the styling. She heard all of my input and we got a great result I was extremely happy with. I bought two products (I had to inquire about - she did not ‘sell’ me) that are amazing for my fine hair. I recreated the style at home with nearly the same result (given that I am traveling, using a hotel hair dryer and using a one sided vent brush with Zero hair skills - I was very pleased!).
Thao is a top notch stylist. On par with my expectation coming from Los Angeles. I would consider coming back on weekend trips from Auckland just to visit Thao at Badaro and do a little Wellington thrift shopping and coffee.

I managed to get a last minute appointment for a haircut. I live in Auckland and was in Welly for a few days. I've had so many great comments on my cut! Have already booked my next appointment and my flights to get to welly for it. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

Victoria is not only lovely but incredibly knowledgeable, and I have complete confidence in her skills. I got the best compliments ever from my friends. I would definitely recommend it as one of the best salons in Wellington!
T.Went from super long to a short cut that Thao recommended. Few months later we decided to go even shorter and love the cut even more. The only person more in love with my hair than me is my partner (and perhaps Thao). Excellent advise, cut and service. Always happy with each cut and new style. Highly recommend Badaro.

Kalib did my hair to perfection, it was exactly what I wanted, a natural warm toned balayage. His professionalism and good chats also made my experience! Highly recommend it here!!

S.I had a fantastic experience at baDARO. The stylist who worked with me was wonderful - stylish, friendly and incredibly skilled. I went from having long hair (all my life!) to a drastic short cut and walked away wishing I'd done it years ago! He asked lots of questions to make sure he knew what I wanted and I had 100% trust in him so didn't feel worried at any point. He did an excellent cut in good time and overall it was a really good experience. I can highly recommend and I would definitely go back if I was to visit Wellington again.

Arriving at our last stop of a honeymoon, I walked past this place. It was our 1st night. Saw a lady working on a client. I could tell this was a special hair dressing place. I was not wrong. So I returned to our hotel (I.C) and jumped online. Made a booking.
Being travellers, I noted to use email and SMS to contact us.
The team were prompt to reply. They booked me in. Emailed and texted. Just like I had suggested. They even accommodated my request to do a colour even though the booking system did not let me book it in for a date we would be here.
On arrival, you are greeted with warmth and taken care of. I mentioned I was feeling the Wellington cold and was quickly seated away from the door.
I don't remember all the names.....as above thank you to the entire team.
Special thanks to Joel. He understood exactly what I needed and chose the right colour and gave me the perfect cut. Judging by how the entire team interacted with each other and with their clients I would say they would all be like Joel. I am super impressed as is my husband on such a great hair cut.
The lady who did my colour application and hair wash. Great hands. Good engagement with conversation. The shoe shop recommendations perfect. Going home with an I love Paris pair and maybe two if I go back tomorrow.
Thank you team. When next in Wellington you will see me again. We are planning to return a few more times to experience Wellington in different temperatures. So will book ahead next time. Wishing all of you the very best.
