A. S.Awesome experience! Friendly and welcoming staff, she gladly helped me to planning my route, with nice offerings. You have to be fit for the hilly routes (if not, rent an e-bike), but definitely one of the best bike experiences ever!

H. G.Excellent bikes, great tips for our journey . Hired 5 avanti Mountain bikes . All in great shape. We received excellent suggestions where to go and what scenic routes are.
As an add-on we visited Goldie and cable bay winery, the former with a nice wine tasting and cheese combo, the latter with an awesome view over the sea all the way to Auckland .
P. W.Lovely staff, used the power assisted mountain bikes that helped us up the hills but still got a good day of exercise in! We were shown the best tracks to take and places to go and had a blast. Great price cheaper than competitors nearby for unlimited hire until 6pm. One thing to note is this is a business independent from tourist packages- it often gets confused with the ones that operate with Fuller. Overall myself and partner would 100% recommend!

The bikes were in fantastic mechanical condition!
A map with routs to take was very beneficial and fantastic views were enjoyed.
Cars and busses allowed plenty of space while passing.

R. B.Friendly staff helped me size the right bike for my half day hire. The bikes are mint like new and found the map directions to Palm Beach easy to navigate. Some hills but the excellent diversion along the south side called the Esplanade was all flat. If you are thinking of biking do it. You wont be disappointed.
A. F.Highly recommend Evan and Waiheke Bike Hire. We borrowed e-bikes from a friend (not Evan) and the pedal fell off one - almost killed us. We saw Evan's store, called the number and he came and met us at the shop, fixed the bikes (even the one with both pedals intact) and saved our vacation. Evan also had great recommendations for picnics and wineries. This is your local bike shop...on Waiheke.
k.Fantastic rental and great way to see the island (and hit all the vineyards and breweries). The hills were fun the climb and bomb down, and the bike handled it like a champ. Staff was very helpful. Will definitely rent again!

L. E.Excellent bikes in great condition. Really enjoyed riding around the island! The ride to Onetangi Beach was really worth it. There is a big Countdown (Woolworths) on the way which means you can buy cheap food and then go. 100 times cheaper than buying food in town.
D.Sanchia was great with suggesting an itinary and warning about possible altitude sickness crossing those steep Waiheke hills!
We barely managed with extra refueling at those irresponsible wineries and pubs who dare to sell alcohol to sunburned bikers.
Suggestion: offer some complimentary suntan lotion to those idiots (like us) who forgot theirs and put a piggy bank for donations to save something or someone.

BTW in regards to Kaeso’s review below- I am an engineer and lifetime biker. I give those bikes a 5 star rating for maintenance. You definitely got the wrong place.
K. D.Bike for 1 day costs 40$, for 2 days it costs 60$. I was there at 11:30 am (on a holiday) and got a bike, so they have a lot of them.
The group which came before me even got an e-bike-that really come in handy, because Waiheke has a lot of mountains!
You also get a lock and a helmet. Renting for 1 day means till 6pm, but at this time noone is there to check if you are late.
M. K.Not possible to hire a bike for hours or a half day. You can only choose a full day. Average pricing. Bikes could have been in a better condition. Staff unsympathic
