Ivan was helpful, professional, and his service excellent. He converted a Marin Stinson and a Colby Cruiser using quality products. They were ready when promised. We have test driven them last Sunday when we got them home and are both extremely happy with the end result. Can post pics of the Colby Cruiser if requested. Would highly recommend. Ivan undertook the job of e-bike conversion with professionalism and skill. The finished product in far exceeded my expectations in terms of timeliness, overall look and cost effectiveness. I am 150% wrapped with my "new" e-bike !!

Ivan completed the electrification of our Nihola bucket bike. Its not a bike sold in NZ so was somehting new to him, but he completed the installation quickly and professionally. The bike is transformed now, plenty of support for the hills of Auckland and our kids love getting out and about in their favourite bike again! Thanks!

Found these guys on-line and pleased we used them. Very accommodating with an initial test ride at a place that was convenient for us and Ivan tailored the solution to suit our needs with the Rev 01 conversion kits and up-sized batteries fitted onto our existing bikes. Ivan was also very helpful in sourcing lights that run off the bike battery. Really bright - a great safety addition. Thanks for a great service. Highly recommend!

Very happy with the decision to turn my Giant Rove into a part-time electric bike to smooth out some of those hills. Ivan was very responsive and gave options for the fit-out. Only comment is restricted times for drop off and pick up, but was able to work around that. Bike converted in one day and have had some great experiences on it.

Ivan was very helpful providing me with all the information required before I embarked on the conversion kit purchase. The Kit went onto my bike without a hitch and works really well. With the torque sensing function it fells very natural. Much like riding a normal bike but with the legs and fitness of someone 20 years younger than me. I would recommend this option to anyone who has a good bike that they want to get some use out of while having some fun.

Very happy with the helpful service and after 250km of commuting to and from the city in Auckland I am thrilled with reduced time for the commute and, best of all, not needing a shower when I get to the office. Very happy. I think the Tongsheng torque sensitive unit I bought through Ivan at Ride Electric compares well with the Bosch mid drive unit I test rode prior to going with Ivan. Not disappointed at all!

The e-bike range is not huge, but they do carry extremely affordable bikes compared to the wider NZ market. What makes them affordable is probably the e-bike capacity, they're a bit smaller, but my experience is, if you don't try them out, you won't know if they can't do the job. As a plus, they actually bring the bike to you for testing which is a huge advantage for bike testing. Ivan was very helpful to answer my questions and the transaction went seamlessly. He also provides a year's warranty so I can get the post-sales help if required. Definitely check them out if you're shopping for an e-bike.

The torque sensing is just like the main stream electric mountain bikes I have ridden We put the kit into my 29 inch Merida ourselves not many issues. Road with the group and blitz them so much fun. Would recommend ride electric and Ivan.

After searching for a new charger for my E Bike with no luck, one email to Ride Electric Bikes brought me into contact with Ivan Li who managed to find the right charger and also how to achieve the necessary plug change. Comms were quick and comprehensive, and the order arrived exactly as expected. You know how good a business really is when things go wrong, however, and we had a technical issue (not the fault of Ride Electric by any means). Ivan was fantastic trying to sort it out, taking time to work with his supplier and keep me informed, and eventually to propose a solution that worked well for me and got me going as quickly as possible. A well deserved 5 star rating.

My bike is 32 years of, but in excellent condition as largely unused. Ivan fitted motor and battery in 2 days. A new lease of life now for both the bike and it's aged owner. Strongly recommended!

Ivan just convert my cruiser and very happy went for a ride when i got it very happy so far. i could have brought a new electric bike but much cheaper for me to convert my bike i ride to work .Ivan did an amazing job converting my cruiser bike, great to deal with and the conversion is working a treat so cant wait when i start work next week.

I had decided that I would convert my old Giant Boulder to electric assist. I had done some 'googling' and was almost convinced that a Bafang package would suit my requirements. I contacted Ivan with the idea of test riding a Bafang kit based conversion. For the demo ride Ivan cunningly also brought along a conversion based on a Tongsheng kit which was a company I had not considered. For me the Bafang was o.k. but when I rode the Tongsheng with torque sensing technology, that hit the spot and is the kit I purchased from Ivan and have now installed. The conversion was straightforward and it was good to have Ivan available to make recommendations and answer my questions. I would deal with Ivan again for any further ebike requirements.

I wanted to convert a ladies bike to electric assist. After searching for someone who could supply the components and fit them I found Ride Electric. Ride Electric were able to respond to my many questions and meet my specifications for performance. As a result they have converted my bike to perform exactly as it wanted.
