I went to Paul asking for a road bike, after talking a bit more about my needs and my past experience. He worked with my budget and custom built me the most perfect bike I could have asked for. His customer service is top notch, his team are incredibly skilled. I’ll be back for my mountain bike.

Capital cycles are awesome - great service, knowledgeable, friendly and don't talk down to you or make you feel stink if you don't live and breathe bikes. I recently got a bike fit from Paul - and he did an amazing job. It made a world of difference to my riding, particularly downhill, but across the board - great increase in comfort particularly on long rides. I can't recommend highly enough!

Had a bike dropped off to the team to box up and ship to Auckland. They were fantastic to work with, did an awesome job of packaging and prepping the bike, then packed it into a box and shipped it overnight. Great service. Great bunch to deal with. Really recommend them on this experience alone.

I dropped into the shop on Easter Sat looking for a part to fixed my speed plate on my shoe, Marti and his team were so very helpful and friendly, fixed it on the spot and also adjusted my gears - I was so impressed with the service that I joined the shop ride on Wed which was with Paul the owner and 2 other great riders. I would highly recommend these guys without a doubt!

My wife and I spoke to Paul about bike fits as we were experiencing some discomfort as our KMs cycles increased. It was easy to make an appointment that suited us. No mean feat as we live on the Kapiti coast and are not working in town that often. On meeting us and seeing us both on our bikes Paul was able to target our areas of concern. He talked us through each step of the process not moving on to the next step until we were comfortable. We both needed some changes to our setups and Paul and his team made sure we had options and we never felt under pressure to purchase any thing from them. However, we did buy the new components because we understood why we needed them and the team looked after us in terms of pricing. Our first ride out and we knew the bike fits was having a positive impact on us. Not just in terms of comfort (no more aches and cramps) but we were both quicker and strong both on the flat and hills. Seriously, we cannot recommend bike fit from Paul highly enough whether you are new to the sport, or an experienced rider. There will be significant benefits for you and at the modest cost, what have you got to lose?

This place is awesome, hands down one of the best bike shops in Wellington. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. As a first time triathlete branching into the world of "big girl pedals" etc, Paul and the boys made me feel well looked after, got me into the right gear (my butt says thank you!) and took time to explain how everything worked. Highly recommended!

I was really impressed on my first visit at how much stuff they had and yet how huge and spacious the shop seemed. On my second visit I bought a bike. Talk about good service! Paul and Pat spent ages on setting up my bike and I got lots of great advice, I then took the bike for an hour and a half ride. It's the best set up I've ever had. They even said I could use their shower after the ride. I live up in Paraparaumu, but Ihave definitely found myself a new bike shop!! Thanks guys. Andrew

Always hugely helpful, plus the people who work there are awesome. Paul sorted me out with a bag of bike parts to fix my roadie myself before lockdown. Big thanks for scrambling round the store to find me most of a Shimano drivetrain, and also for selling my partner her mean mtb at a good price.

Really well stocked bike shop with lots of options. Super knowledgeable crew who work there selling and servicing bikes. They all seemed to live and breath bikes and were friendly and helpful. Replaced some parts for me very quickly. Great coffee and advice on local rides / trials.

Knowledgeable, friendly service. I’ve been a customer for over two years now, and find the team here great. The bike fitting service from Pat is the best I’ve ever found in 40 years of cycling - brilliant for customising a fit to a particular riding style or activity. Pat’s fitting has equipped me through two Tour Aotearoa events of 3000 kms, remedying a problem fit in the first case, and seeing me absolutely dialed into the bike in the second. Mechanical work from Adam and his team is excellent too, and Paul, Gareth and the staff helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They are a busy team, so it can pay to book and/or plan ahead if you need major work done.

On the bright side, they fixed my bike quickly and competently. They do actively try and upsell things eg oh you broke a link so you need a new chain, if you get a new chain, you need a new cluster and so on. If you can hold your ground they will eventually do what is needed. They were also a bit macho in a passive aggressive way eg one mechanic asked me into the workshop area to talk and then another told me to leave. Odd exchange with older guy there as well. I miss Bicycle Junction. These folk are probably ok if you know what you want and zen your way through the upsell :-)

Go and get some fantastic Service right here. Knowledgeable guys who actually ride and enjoy being part of local, national and international mountain biking communities. While your getting those top quality parts fitted to your bike someone will smash out a good old fashion slap in the face coffee with some banter and laughs. It's an experience! If your new to biking then this is the place for you, the team at capital won't patronise or overwhelm you either. Happy drifts Stewart...

bought a bike secondhand which was delivered to the wellington store, communication was easy and pleasant, bike turned up about 40 hours later in Auckland, packed well, thank you happy riding!!

This cycle store is much larger than you see from outside. You'll find basically all the needs from equipment and clothing and miscellaneous stuff. Not only for bikong but also suitable for hiking or outside activities. Service also satisfactory.

The sales team knows their stuff and the workshop is top notch. It's also the place to go for a bike fit, with a custom orthotics moulding machine on-site. Highly recommended!

Plenty of help, happy to assist and even helped out on some price ticketing issues... I came away feeling that what I bought was value for money and would certainly go back. Thanks Paul and team. Will buy kit next time so I can fly the CC flag in auckland

Whilst the staff member that eventually assisted was helpful no one seemed particularly interested in serving me. Store had a reasonable selection but was a mess when visited. Maybe it was a fluke but from this experience I wouldn't recommend this store.

Friendly staff and outstanding service. Fast and accommodating. Quick turnaround on a walk in fix on a busy day for them. Fantastic place, would highly recommend.
