G.I went to inquire about a bike rack for my hatchback. The bike rack which was there was not fit for my car. I was very impressed by the fact that the gentleman at the shop did not try to hard sell me, instead he gave me suggestions regarding other options like towbar and roof rack. The owner seemed knowledgeable and experienced in what he was saying. Based on my experience, I would recommend Johnsonville Cycles & Servicing.
J.Amazing, friendly service. Always happy to help me with any problems and will let me know if its something I could fix myself. Clearly have a great passion for all practices of biking and extensive knowledge of maintaining them.
When ordering parts they keep great communication and let me know as soon as the parts arrive. They parts they supply are always of high quality and they keep stock over tons of different and niche sizing. They always make sure your bike is fully dialed so you don't have to keep coming back for regular servicing. I BMX and they are always more than happy to get parts in for me, despite being primarily MTBing.
Easily the best store for BMXers in wellington as other large stores never keep stock or order in good, affordable parts. I've come in multiple times due to other stores damaging my bike and its been very affordable. I've only recently learnt how to true my own wheels out of necessity and can now say they heavily undercharge for the work they do.
Cant recommend enough, will be shopping from them for years to come.
M.Great service, needed back tyre to be pumped up, however standard bike pump would not do it, we needed compression pump . Took to Jville Cycles and they were closed , however staff member allowed us in and pumped the tyre up. Rare customer service these days and we really appreciated the service !! A rating !
M.Great little shop! Had an issue with getting the tyre back on to my M365 scooter wheel so took the wheel in to see if they could have any luck. Was sorted quickly by them! Thanks very much for your kind assistance!
S.Great shop. Prefer this to a soulless bike barn type shop full of arrogant young guys who think they’re as good as the expensive bikes they ride. Often better prices on euipment here too. Support your LBS.

N.I had a quote from a bike shop at corner of dixon street and victoria street for $400 for a disc and califer brake replacement(SCAM), second quote from johnsonville cycles, a simple allen key adjustment was all that was required, i didn't tell this shop that i had had a prior quote, johsonville cycles cost $75, that included all over check, wheel realignment was needed, francis sorted my bike at a fantastic price, an honest guy, going to him made me angry that dixon street bike shop was HARD SCAMMING me!!!
