After walking out of the main store because the atmosphere felt awkward, I came across their second store at the mall. Service was so so, but the meat was amazing! You definitely get what you pay for here regarding food.

Absolutely fantastic! exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be going back for that special cut of meat. My fiance and I walked in looking for a high quality cut of steak for a special meal we had planned. Of course, we wanted only the best (wagyu Rib Eye). I initially asked for some inordinately large amount (2 x 300 gram steaks). When they asked me what I had planned, they gently and politely told me that I didn't need as much as I was asking. We even got a brief impromptu lesson in how to prepare it. In short, they love their meat. And they seem to be all about sharing that love of meat with others. So much so, that they were more interested in selling me something tailored to what I *actually* want; even if that meant making a lower value sale than they might have if they had given me what I *thought* I wanted.

We've been ordering readymade food from them. The product quality is better than any other food provider in New Zealand. (Including Hello Fresh etc.) Great meat cuts, prices are reasonable for 2022. Certainly saves us a lot of time.

Came across this butcher on my travels, awesome service from a young lad called Jack who convinced me to try the dry aged bone in ribeye. He even gave me some cooking instructions and it was amazing. It's worth a trip just to visit and see how butchery should be done.

A massive thanks to Todd and Jamie at Well Hung for helping sort my corporate catering order! Over three days, 16 hungry team members were fed with sausages, burgers, chicken, sirloin steak, butterflied lamb leg and of course bacon for breakfast! The entire process from order to pick up was incredibly easy, the meat was incredible quality and the team were extremely happy! There were many comments about the sausages being the best sausages ever! I've already been back in to organise the next corporate catering order!

Thank you, thank, you thank you!!, I’ve been trying lots of different brands at the supermarket to find a tasty sausage, with no luck so today I visited your shop and the lovely young man behind the counter was very professional and friendly, even asking me if it’s ok to pick up the phone while serving me, the best customer service! I cooked a couple sausages for dinner and wow! I don’t think I will ever buy sausages from the supermarket again, absolutely divine! 💐🤍 we will be back again soon 😍😍

I've just had a delivery from Well Hung Butchers in Milford and the meat looks great. I think I'll carry on supporting them in future; don't know what took me so long! We're in our 70s so deserve good meat! Well worth paying a bit more. Thanks, guys.

Delicious spicy biltong. My favourite one here always. The meat is quality and fresh. I love coming here than any where else because the staffs are super friendly and helpful. It is also cheap and really hygienic. 😍 Nothing I can expect more.

Moving to Auckland I was very happy to find a steady supply of high quality delicious sausages! I've just gone through more than half a kilo of their beef and mushroom ones in a day and picked up another kilo of their blue vein cheese and beef today. Meat to this standard and service at the same level. Thanks guys!

Amazing shop and amazing products. I cooked a 45 day old bone in ribeye for a dinner party and it was the best all of us had ever had! One of the nicest shops I've been in with great staff and they will cook their meat on their rotisserie for you at no cost which I will be doing next time for sure, the pork looked amazing!

Great for organising dinner functions at home. We've recently had three dinners where they have helped us choose the meat, cooked it, along with roast potatoes, and then prepared it for serving so all we've had to do is pick it up on time and serve it when our guests arrive. Most recently we chose pork belly, which was rolled and cooked, and then cut into the number of portions we wanted and along with the roast potatoes prepared for serving. It was a great success and we couldn't commend them highly enough.

An amazing and well presented display of fantastic"well hung" meats. (Roasts/steaks plus a fantasy selection of sausages plus just about all cuts of meat you could wish for. Well presented and and laid out. No big meaty smells, a real experience. You are able to select from the freshest meats to the beautiful well aged. From 20 to 45 days. We chose a piece of sirloin about 40 days--devine👌😘 ... But don't forget the chicken. Hot free range rotisseried plus if you order in advance they will slow cook pork for you . Absolutly incredible team, so helpful so knowledgeable and really friendly. Really enjoyable experience we left with a big smile and some beautiful wagyu (a gift for someone) and ended up getting ourselves a wagyu brisket to cook up for the long weekend. Recommend to any meat or bbq enthusiast. 10 out 5!! We will be back to stock up for our next big bbq!!
