OCT2020 - Awesome new premise, spacious clean and modern compared to the previous site on Lake Rd. I was there for the air bag recall on a e39, still the same great Team in Service, led by Graham, Abay, Chris and rest of team are very attentive and go beyond in helping customer. The drop off time starts 730am so handy for some. Great waiting area design and amenities including message chairs, free wifi, you can BYOD, plug in, work while you wait. The only tiny thing that can be improved upon is the entry signage into the service lobby. First time visitors may be unsure which door to use. Keep up the good work... Service team absolutely deserved 6 stars out of 5!!!
OCT2019-Good fast services. They keep you posted of the progress. Friendly staff in the Service department. There are quite a few global recalls on various models and staff are working hard to complete as many as they can. This is appreciated by the customers.

I don’t usually do review for official car manufacturer dealer such as BMW as these guys have been known for hefty bills after servicing but hey, I had a great experience with Abhinay for his attentiveness and customer service down to explaining what the issues are and best course of action to take. A genuine guy, no marketing BS whom I felt comfortable dealing with. for sure I’ll come back for my next servicing. The new building is really nice as well and the ServicePlus for older cars is a top notch service which is priced competitively. Better pricing than other independent workshops. 👌 cheers

We have had some less than impressive experiences with other car dealers both in the Bay and Waikato. We saw a BMW X1 2.0 ltr Diesel advertised on their website and drove to Auckland from the Bay of Plenty. We dealt with Jeppe and had contacts with the Sales Manager and Business Manager. Without doubt the service was outstanding, we purchased a vehicle, prior to purchase we were given great information about the model and shown through the car and features were specified and explained, once purchase was completed hubby waited to drive it back home, he was well looked after and the grooming and presentation of the car was outstanding. The groomer found a scratch and we were advised and a solution was arranged for a future date. We are thrilled at our purchase and happy to have enjoyed a professional and great customer service experience. We would buy a car here again.

Despite what the bad reviews say about them, I think the staff were very friendly, and were pretty well priced for the work I had done given its all genuine parts ect. I did have a few queries after I picked up the car but they were resolved quickly after a call with the service manager. Friendly team and great show room!

Five star service from the team at Continental. Quite a complicated insurance job fixing damage to aftermarket suspension and front end work, done as quick as insurance would allow and without hassle. Perfect workmanship, good outcome. Some dealerships usually have a bad rep with pricing and poor serviceability, especially when issues that weren't pre existing pop up from no where like magic. In my case I had a sour experience initially where I had visited the Northshore dealership for a factory recall. The service was booked in and the process seemed very professionally handled initially before getting into a downward spiral of an experience during delivery time. Before I left the dealership I spotted curbing on my 20" new wheels which wasn't there when I handed over the car. The staff especially the manager available at the time (without naming the people), who handled my shocking discovery were reluctant, disrespectful and rude with with the way the issue I faced was handled. Having a shocking discovery is one thing but to be spoken to with such high disregard like it wasn't a big deal was another. However the next day Service Manager Graeme Porter was notified about this and he stepped in. He single handedly salvaged the situation with utmost professionalism and spent time investigating the incident which I really appreciate. He first took responsibility for his teams actions and the incident itself. He came up with an amicable solution to fix the issue even though the issue itself couldn't be identified on how it even happened. I think he is definitely an asset to Continental Cars BMW and he definitely sets high standards in such a customer centric industry that all staff at Continental Cars BMW should adhere and follow. The whole experience has definitely made me appreciate the works of this particular dealership on the whole and I would definitely like to give my business to them in future especially knowing Service Manager Graeme was there.

Just want to do a huge shout out to this dealership and especially to Abhi in service; my beloved cars heater fan blew on Monday Monday morning and then found out the jaw dropping price to get it fixed I then came across a recall online for the same issue so after contacting them found out there are 3 outstanding recalls and one including the fan blower and wiring all done and paid for by bmw saving my life! And then they very generously dropped me to work and picked me up and then the 3rd cherry on the top they gave my car a much needed wash and vacuum making her even more stunning on collection; thank you again; can’t thank you guys enough for the great service and sorting my car for me; firmer grateful to have a heater again in these cold days 😊

Some of these bad reviews may need to be disregarded as Jerry Clayton BMW would have removed/trained those people that have mistreated their customers. I personally, have had a great experience with them.
Mike was prompt, courteous, professional and kept me up to date on whats happening with my car while it was getting fixed. I was happy that I could pick it up the next day as their competition said it would take up to a few days.

Great Service :- A '70s+' Orewa-based relative's damaged car was ultimately 'written off' by Insurance after we'd entered 'Covid lockdown'. By then the car was held at Continental Cars BMW in Wairau Rd., North Shore.
But anti-Covid-precautions meant that we couldn't access the car to remove her personal effects before it was taken away for disposal.
It took several phone calls, but I'm happy to report that, with care & ingenuity from Service Dept. staff, everything was retrieved in time.
In particular, Mark (Service Support) could not have been more helpful throughout. Using WhatsApp video link, Graeme (Service Manager) & I even located a precious Owners Manual (easily overlooked), which he then delivered to my door "on his way home". Full marks gentlemen!

Edit: Grayhem Porter from BMW called me saying he was sorry about the lack of service that they were able to give, and was really open about the feedback that I had posted. I appreciate that he made the time to make the call and make ends meet. I now feel that I should at least give them 4 stars, as the personal call explained some of the reasons why there was a lack of good service. I hope to have better service the next time I service my car here at Continental Cars Takapuna.
I had my BMW serviced here during the early month of March, and had a mildly unpleasant stay. I had serviced my X5 here, and was appointed of a finish time of 12:00 PM. I called the service desk several times, but was hung up automatically by the voicemail. Eventually when my call got through, they shifted the finish time to 4:00PM. Fast forward I'm now in at the service centre, but they said they are still working on it. They finish the maintenance at 5, but the car is dirty and needs cleaning.
I take my car at 5:30 PM, and is billed with a hefty amount that is very different of what I was quoted over the phone. I payed more than my expected quote.
To cut things short (tl;dr) the service was terribly slow, and very bad.
I will still give this review a 3 stars, because the receptionist was attentive of what was happening. She even cleaned the car herself. Kudos to the receptionist.

Excellent service and very professional. You have wifi and coffee while you're waiting. My car went in for just a tyre puncture, but the entire car was cleaned and given back. Often while the car is being serviced they tend to give a complimentary car, but since mine wasn't a considerable job, I didn't have to wait long. I was very pleased with their service.

27 December 2017: Friendly people and awesome service. A special word of thanks to Abhinay Singh (service advisor) for going above and beyond - explaining my vehicle's service requirements to me in detail, explaining my options, and advising on the best action. Thank you to the service team for effectively attending to the service requirements. Everyone at Continental Cars BMW is friendly and helpful (even sales people, despite the fact that I was clearly not there to purchase a new vehicle). The lady at general reception even offered and then made my 6-year old some hot chocolate, left some space in the cup for cold water, and then ensured the temperature of the drink was just right. Now that's what I call attention to detail regarding every aspect of customer and vehicle service!
23 January 2018: I had to visit Continental Cars BMW again today for an issue unrelated to the previous one. Just like the first time, the people were really friendly and helpful. This is an amazing BMW and largest dealership in the southern hemisphere. ( Even has its own traffic lights). There's a large range of models on show too. People are attentive but not over bearing which is the new style of auto sales. It's very much a relationship focused dealership.

I received prompt service from Graeme, the service manager upon emailing my enquiry regarding servicing my 2008 535D. I showed up Saturday morning for my appointment and was greated by a friendly, knowlegable and courteous service advisor, James Millett. James took the time to answer all my questions and not once did I feel rushed even after spending 30 minutes asking countless questions This is my first BMW and after working for a dealership before I felt the need to 'test' James' knowledge. He passed with flying colours.
Continental Cars BMW is where I'll be getting my WOF and tire rotation next month giving me the peace of mind that it'll be done right the first time.
