My 83 year old mother had an experience with Schofield's Newmarket which I thought was worth commenting about.
She needed a new car and I had a look online and found a couple small cars with low mileage at Schofield's Newmarket.
Mum bused in and bought a Toyota Vitz with 1,700km on the odometer for $16,600.
Perfect near new small car for an independent elderly person.
Unfortunately here's where the customer service or lack-there-of became an issue. We noticed that the car had a small hole in the front bumper where an aerial had been broken.
I thought this would be a simple and quick issue to resolve considering mum had bought the car two days ago and it wasn't obvious in the online advertising that there was this problem.
I spoke to the manager Andrew and he said that as the aerial was an after market part they couldn't do anything about it. He asked me what resolution I wanted, I said for it to be fixed, he said he couldn't do this.
Mum drove in to see them, again they said they couldn't help.
I think we both just wanted Schofield's Newmarket to show some goodwill to a new customer and offer to take the car and resolve the problem.
As I explained to the manager Andrew this didn't make me feel like mum's custom of their business was valued, nor would I tell other people that we've had a good experience dealing with Schofield's Newmarket.
If you're buying a second hand car from them make sure you have a really good look at it as they might not stand behind any issues which you find after you've paid for it!
I emailed General Manager Blaine Barrat about below concerns. He said he'd talk to sales Manager Andrew and get back to me ... never heard back.

Great service from The guys here . My serving and repairs were completed and car was cleaned and washed too. The guys were very helpful and communications were great when the car was ready for pick up.

Dropped ute off for service, someone was waiting, took notes of information that they need to know and any other repairs needed. Handed me another replacement ute until mine is serviced(pre-booked). Friendly, easy as customer service.

Drove in got out and there was a guy waiting for me, didnt even have to say who i was, he had checked number plate and instantly took care of taking the car to workshop for required warrenty work. Waited in the lounge, was updated twice on how long it would be and they even cleaned the vehicle inside out. Great customer service.

On Wednesday 17th July, had the absolute pleasure of purchasing a 2019 Holden Equinox LTZV LYK747. Daniel is such a nice person to deal with a made us feel at home. We travelled from Whangarei to Auckland to look at cars not expecting to buy straight away although we wanted to see what was out there, we went into Schofields and was greated by a man named Steve, as it is sales personal seem to have a pushy manner, understandably they have targets and commissions to make, however, Steve was the total oposite, gave us all the information we needed on any car we looked at, on walking out of the yard we spotted a car we didnt see at 1st, we stopped loved it and the price was right, so we went back asked for some pricing which we got pretty quickly, we discussed all the extras, the warrenty etc... took it for a test drive and thought this could be it. Said to steve we will go for lunch have a chat and then return with our answer, he said that sounds good ill leave it here, and he subtly let us know that if we are financing that we would want to do that before a certain time so that was more good information. We arrived back said lets go ahead he had us meet with the financial officer who sorted all the paperwork, he threw in some floor mats for us filled our tank to overflowing took us through the car and out we drove. The entire experience with Steve was easy, informative and just a pleasure to meet a salesman without the "stereotype" attitude. So thank you Steve and Schofield for our easy transition into our new car. Guy & Rachel
