V.On the 30th of November we bought an Ionic 5 my first ever electric vehicle. This was the outcome after a couple of visits to the Hyundai Manukau Office. The staff were tremendous helpful and so supportive. I wish to acknowledge one person in particular Mrs. Sapphire Munns. We talked over the phone and when we came over, she went over and above to offer us the best service ever. If we could give her a 10 STARS we would, because her service deserves a 10 stars. We also acknowledge Joselyn in helping us with the Finance aspect of our purchase. We are so blessed to have met Mrs. Munns and I am sure the Hyundai are also so fortunate to have her as an employee. David Tomlinson was an amazing salesman to consult with. He was so genuine, he was to the point and very professional in his approach to telling us about the car we were interested in.
Before our test drive he shared what to look for, what to try and helped us understand what features to use and why they are important.
He made great coffee and was such a great guy.

N.Overall I have mixed emotions after dealing with manukau hyundai. I had an excellent experience with Arno during the buying process (I need to give this guy full credit as he is awesome...5+stars if this was a review of just him) but little to no communication from the dealership following the completion of the sale.
The vehicle took around 10 days to arrive. After this I was owed a roof box and roof racks as part of sales agreement, but it took around a month for the racks and the first roof box to arrive. Initially the box they ordered got lost in transit ending up in wellington, and then when it did arrive it did not physically fit the car as what Hyundai nz had told them...I tried several times to get some idea out of Peter from service as to what was happening but got little to no replies, I actually had to show up physically at his office to hurry things along. I tried to call 2 or 3 times even leaving messages but got no reply until the item had physically arrived.
I needed to fit a set of skis in the roof box, but it took at least 2 weeks after the first box was fitted and rejected for someone to find the effort to pull out a tape measure to measure the diagonal distance of a smaller roof box to work out if they would actually fit the box. It took me around 3 or 4 trips to the dealership to sort everything out including going for the the 1000km service. Great service up to the point that you actually give them your money - then it seems the service drops significantly. Would buy from Arno again as I developed a great client relationship with him, but not convinced overall that the dealership is able to live up to the reputation it tries to put out
I will give Peter full credit, as he did his best to make me feel like a valued customer - but I think overall the service was less than expected given I was spending $40k+ on a vehicle with them. I didnt approach east Auckland Hyundai or the other hyundai dealerships at all on this occasion, but next time will shop around other Hyundai dealers a bit more before deciding to purchase a car.
That being said, the kona is an awesome car! But the circumstances I purchased it under were less than ideal and have somewhat spoiled the experience.

J.Not a bad dealership really, staff friendly and helpful but they are shoehorned in Mitsubishi. Which the parking there is very hard to find and there space allotment per vehicle is pretty meager. Can be a challenge at times. But it's about standard fare these days.

M.Been there to look at some electric car. They have a wide range of cars consist of Electri, Plugins, Hybrid, Petrol and Diesel motors. They offer onsite finance via UDC. Staff were ok too. Took out the car for drive and was very nice to drive a Electric Car unfortunately the price are too much to afford.

R.Have been mucked around by other dealers for a few weeks now. Called up, had the deal done in a few hours and was able to pick up my vehicle with in a 2 day turn around.
They advertised the stock they ACTUALLY had, was super easy and great customer service!
