Absolute fantastic service from stacey. I highly recommend her and the team at Armstrong.
I’ve had my new Subaru Forrester sports plus for 3 days and I’m loving it. Stacey took the time to listen to my needs and requirements and helped me get vehicle that best suit them.
We even had a bit of fun with buying this car, as I could not decide on my two colours choices so I asked her to surprise me.

UPDATE: Team got the right part and sorted out a loan car for me to use for the day. The work was completed in a good time frame and they even washed the car afterward. Thanks to the team for there friendly service and making sure to follow up it is appreciated.

The biggest issue @ Armstrongs is the lack of communication between the departments and the customer. Here are just some examples of my experience in the last few days:
1) Had to rebook a service as I had to meet with a client unexpectantly - and called the service team and made a re-booking for the following Monday. Literally 2 hours later my wife got a phone call (in which I explicitly told them not to call her as she had just had surgery) to say that the car didnt come in and that we need to rebook. I called the team and spoke to the SAME lady and said 'we rebooked the service with you for Monday - so just a little confused why you've rung' - she said - 'oh you can't have booked in with me. She's from South Africa and the only South African person on reception lol. Eventually sorted that out.
2) When I arrived to the service, I gave them the keys and mentioned that I would book an Uber to head home - not once to the receptionist suggest that they could book a taxi for me. Just those 1% customer service things would make a huge difference.
3) I ordered a part to get my LED trailer to talk to the car properly to make sure all the lights work well - there was massive confusion on what the service tech was after and what part the parts guy should order. I suggested that maybe they find the registration and notes left from the service team might help him...lol...that is 101 stuff guys!
4)The parts guy said he would call me to let me know when the part is here. That NEVER happened and 5 days after ordering, I decided to call - I got told the part has been here for a while! I told the guy that he supposed to call me, he told me that he just thought that Id come in! Lol! - Im a busy guy, pick up the phone and let me know its there mate!
5) I wanted to book in to get the part fitted with the parts team - sorry that cant happen, you need to hang up and call service. Come on. Patch the phone call over!
From a premium dealership, this is bloody poor and is let down by communication over all divisions.
We won't be buying our next vehicle from Armstrongs sorry.

Stopped in today for a test drive on a little Citroen and our salesman was amazing. This guy was cool, knowledgeable and made me a friggin awesome cup of coffee!! As soon as I'm ready to buy I will certainly be going back to deal with him. EVERY other dealership we had stopped at could learn a lesson or two about customer service from him. (Aaron) I think was his name. Great little car also. I highly recommend this dealership.

Purchased a new car from this dealership recently. The salesperson we dealt with 'Stacey' was very helpful and I must say extremely knowledgeable on the XV we purchased. So happy with my experience here! Took my car in for a WOF and the whole thing was a breeze. Found it very nice that not only did I get a reminder text but also a text telling me the results of my WOF. The customer service was excellent from the girls at the reception. Was pleasantly surprised when I got in my car to drive off to find my car was given a vacuum which was just the cherry on top of the whole process.

We were frustrated in dealing with a major dealership in our town when looking to buy a near new vehicle ,so we decided to phone Armstrong Motors Christchurch, where we spoke to Stacey Barraclough, who managed to do what we thought was impossible , by putting us into a 2018 Subaru Legacy , all done over a weekend ,by phone ,including trade in!

Just had my 12500 km service done , in all fairness i got a courtesy car which i appreciated but i think people need to know these information below.
The service was to perform usual service , change oil and filter etc , check if Tyre rotate is necessary ( not required this time) and visual inspection for the car , i can live with the labour cost but what i can't live with is the material.
The engine oil used was Castrol magnatec 5w-30 A5 , if this is what i think it is then it's full synthetic oil not semi synthetic oil which is good and cost $84 for 6L which is $14/L yet you charged me $25/L , your mark up is 78% and i haven't even factor in that you certainly get it cheaper than RRP , this is absolute RIDICULOUS.
if this is what you going to charge me again then i should bring my own engine oil next time.
i haven't mention the noise coming from the auto tailgate that you didn't fixed.

Moved to Christchurch over a year ago now. We have 2 Volvo’s and 1 subaru and we have taken all our cars to them! The team at each branch is always welcoming when we walk in the door! Best part the car always comes back CLEANER THEN I TOOK IT IN! Thanks Armstrong!

Service isn't very good. Counter attendant in Subaru parts ran away to get them before I even finished stating what I need and wouldn't listen to me properly so when she came back it took lots of back and forth to get the message across.

Super helpful. Zero wait. I brought a older Subaru in for replacement part. The parts dept inspected the vehicle and offered to order as well as gave me two local spare parts dealers.

Garrick the salesperson was real good even if he got some of the arranged times wrong but very pleased with the new Subaru but I had to take it back to get a tyre warning light fixed that should have been done before I picked the car up as been brand new I would have thought it would have been checked out plus we went away for the weekend up to blenheim I went to use the window washers once then the low water warning light came on you would think all these things would have been completed and checked by the workshop
