K.I was impressed that Toyota has a graduate programme to bring younger people into the business and to ensure they worked in all aspects of the business. My graduate salesman was very attentive to my needs, even sending me photos of boot space in different vehicles so I would come back and have a look at other options. The service team was very professional when I had small teething problems with my vehicle.

A special mention should be made for Mark, the Service Manager and Amanda on the front desk for their friendly not to mention compassionate assistance.
M.You do pay for quality products and can get the service you know will be fix you car. The vehicles they sell are all registered and warranted as well as serviced.
They sell a complete range of vehicles and are proactive about getting in contact with you over servicing.
Unfortunately they were not responsive with servicing. After being absolutely assured the parts would arrive they didn't arrive. Then blaming the Cook Straight Ferry for not meeting a crossing? They had the time to stop me driving across town from Redwood to Ilam but didn't txt or phone. They pride themselves on great customer service but this time Toyota's service department missed the mark.

As we live a bit far from the store, Michelle also helped us to deliver the car to our front door. The finance officer JJ also helped us a lot and ensured the smoothness of the purchase. Great experience and we look forward to come back again for another new car in the future.
T.My lights were not working . I rang to make a booking and they were busy and could not take me for a few days but said to call in and if it was a small job they would try and help. They checked and the bulbs had blown which they replaced while I waited . Excellent service . I have used them before and would recommend them as staff are always friendly and one time they made an error there was no arguement and the repair was discounted
R.On holiday in Christchurch we went into Ilam Toyota to look at a second hand car, we ended up with a new Toyota Yaris.
This was a totally new experience, we dealt with Jayden who made this a smooth and painless process, the price for our trade was more than I expected, and I liked the all inclusive price of the Toyota, no add ons or extras.
Because of supply problems we had to wait 6 weeks for the car to arrive, I drove from Nelson to pick up the car and again was greeted by Jayden who fully explained all the features of the vehicle.
I was very happy with the service I received from Ilam Toyota.

A.Took my Toyota Corolla for it's first scheduled service,disappointed that my driver's side mat was left soiled and not cleaned, as it was when I left it for the service,apart from that the car had it's service,and was able to get a loan car for a couple of hours.

R.Just went in for a look, a salesman came up to me with no pressure and I said I was just looking as I love being around cars, I sat in a few cars and asked him a few questions and I generally had a good time with him, my favourite choice was the Yaris Cross. The showroom was full of customers collecting their new vehicles so there was a buzz in the air. If I was to buy a car I would definitely buy from Devan who was very professional to deal with

N.Friendly team who really try to ensure my needs are met. This is my second car purchase from this yard and I have found the after sales services, WOF services and mechanics services as well as the financial and sales team to be absolutely top of their game in every aspect. No hesitation in recommending.
M.I have just relocated to Christchurch from Auckland and have been toying with the idea of purchasing a Hilux, as a working vehicle due to a couple of new builds going up so needed a reliable, no hassles vehicle to do the 101 things in landscaping etc for these new builds. Called into Ilam Toyota and spoke to Simon whose down to earth practical advice was invaluable.
I had an idea of what I wanted so I guess that made Simon's job a bit easier. It was great that Ilam had a demo Workmate which Simon loaned me for the day and that more or less sealed the deal
The 4 month delay didn't really worry me as the builds would not start until Sept.
What I really appreciated was the regular updates from Ilam Toyota as to the delivery progress of the vehicle from when it was going into production through to shipping and subsequent arrival in NZ. Throughout this process Simon made himself available when I turned up, mainly unannounced. When the big day arrived it was just a case of calling in and pick up the vehicle. What impressed me the most was the seamless interaction between Sales, Business and Service departments all coming together at the right time. Never in all my years have I experienced this sort of service. A special thanks especially to Simon, JJ and Service Foreman for making this a great experience.

T.I drove down to Christchurch from Palmerston North towing a Jet Boat and my tow vehicle developed a problem with the Brakes. Ilam Toyota were very helpful and assessed the vehicle at very short notice Saturday morning.
The news wasn't good and I was advised not to drive my vehicle.
They went above and beyond to loan me a vehicle from their yard to keep me going over the weekend. They then slotted my wagon in for urgent repairs early Monday morning. I was well and truly stuffed without them and their assistance. Top marks to Ilam Toyota and your very helpful team. Thank you !

Have a service every year .Was told, with a full service came with a clean .Normally have no problems and my car comes back clean . This time the inside had not been touched and the outside was not the best clean i have had . Had to wait to have the inside cleaned . The service buy the girl was great and the service on my car was great . But the person who cleaned the car need to step up and put more into it.
Sorry i had to say all that . It was the first time i have had to do this.

Z.Incredibly impressed with the speed and high quality of service I received. Asked about getting my engine serviced on Wednesday and they booked me in for that Saturday. Dropped my car off at 8.30am and it was ready by 11.30am. Not only had they done the service but they had also cleaned my car inside and out and also did a siphon stop removal (I had previously enquired about) for no extra charge. Staff were super friendly and approachable. I'd highly recommend Ilam Toyota for any servicing requirements!

J.Booked a WOF weeks ago. Was told on the phone it would be 45 mins. Ended up being an hour and 30 mins. I can understand and appreciate things happen and delays can occur, it was more so that the staff didn't bother to fill me in. Just left me sitting there for 1 hour 30 mins. I asked around the 40 minute mark how much longer it would be, got a fairly uncaring answer of 'it can between 45 mins - 1 hour'. I knew it would be longer than 1 hour because I could still see my car sitting exactly where I parked it. Paying $60 for the WOF has to be considered on the more expensive side, so opting for the local Toyota dealership and receiving this service was pretty dissatisfying. 100% wouldn't of bothered to give an average review if the lady would of simply come over to me once it hit around the hour mark or ideally before then and said 'sorry just a bit of a delay' or something similar. She could of even talked to me from her desk and advised it was taking a bit longer than usual. Obviously not a major whatsoever, just expected a bit more interest from staff in an established business.

I thought the car would need a lot of extra work done after sitting around undriven for so long, but it didn't end up needing much at all. They even surprised me by giving it a wash! P.Excellent Service. I approached the Parts department this morning looking to buy a replacement battery for my JDM Lexus. Sean from the Parts Department was helpful to suggest that I brought in the car to ensure the battery was the right part. Once I brought in the car, I was helped by Aaron who went the extra mile of not only pointing out the battery issue but also the bad battery connector in my car. Since I was in a hurry and had to be somewhere else in an hour, he personally followed through the entire process of replacing the battery and the connector while I waited. I am very impressed with the speed and efficiency with which Aaron resolve the issues. Also, the excellent efforts by Sean from the parts department and workshop team who worked hand in hand to solve the issue timely, juggling between their break time and this ad-hoc job. Excellent effort and teamwork!!!

P.This Toyota garage offers great efficient services by professional staff (both front desk and mechanic staff). Some toyota parts will need to be ordered in but can be done in a short period of time. Enter by Wharenui Rd to avoid the traffic jam on that Riccarton-Clyde intersection.

A.Hi I recently took my Corolla to Ilam Toyota to have Dura-Seal paint protection applied, also ordered rear mud flaps. As I was from out of town Ilam gave me a loan vechicle to use while my car was worked on, this was awesome service, very friendly staff. When my car was ready I received a Dura-Seal car care package which was a wonderful surprise. My mud flaps arrived today, and were so easy to install, I received regular updates regarding my mud flaps, as they were coming from Japan, and Ilam Dura-Sealed them for me. Dura-Seal coating is awesome.

v.November 28th I walked into Ilam Toyota to have a look at a 2014 Toyota Yaris. First impressions were great! John showed us the Yaris and invited us to take it for a test drive. My partner drove the car and was impressed, I was still non committal until I got behind the wheel.
Wow, was what I thought and right there and then I decided to say goodbye to my Swift.
John was brilliant and gave me a good trade for the swift. He introduced us to the finance guy Andrew and we got the ball rolling!
November 29th we walked into the dealership and got cappuccinos made for us and nice biscuits. Finance was approved and I handed over the keys to the swift, and got the keys for the Yaris. John even rang me at work a couple of days later to see how I liked the car and was everything alright.
The team at Ilam Toyota made everything possible, made it all painless as well. Got a free Toyota pen too!
