Bought and sold a few cars over the years, but have never experienced the quality level of service these guys offer. I bought the car sight unseen and had it shipped up to me in Auckland. Three things reinforce my view. One - the car had a puncture when it arrived. Repair paid for, no questions asked. Two - the EV charger was faulty, followed up great. Note - it's a much better one than usually supplied! Thirdly - without any fanfare or fuss they sent me a complimentary printed owners manual, which I hadn't asked for. The car (Nissan Leaf e+) is great - very happy with it. Well done WCD.

I bought my 2014 Toyota RAV4 diesel sight unseen from Wholesale Cars Direct and I have absolutely no regrets. Just the opposite. This company unusually really does put the customer first and they are scrupulously honest in their descriptions. The car was delivered to me from Wellingtone to Dunedin perfectly and it was far better than i expected, being in superb condition and presented outside and in, in outstanding order. The company have gone well out of their way to address every and any query I had and they have behaved as though I were buying a new car from a major franchise. I think they must definitely be one of, if not THE best used car dealers in the country. Highly recmmended to everyone; and I have bought many new and used cars over the years, so I do not say this lightly.

I consider this top tier service and made me feel more comfortable as I dont know a lot about cars. On arrival I felt very welcomed super easy vibe the team was super friendly Jason took me over to the car to have a look. Very impressed by the delivery of answers and how well Jason communication style is. The car is exactly what ive been looking for an upgrade from my old car. For a used car dealer, WCD breaks all the negative stereotypes. So much so in fact that I've just purchased my 4th vehicle in a row from them. This is after going through most of their competitors in the region first. What brings me back time and time again includes; - Complete lack of BS or sales pressure - An honest, balanced view on the vehicle being considered, upsides and downsides presented without undue interpretation - Transparent and ethical pricing including trade in values - (This last one's a biggie) In terms of after sales support and service, WCD back their cars in deed as well as word, they've put minor and major issues 'right' without a word of doubt and with as much effort and speed as they put into making the sale. 10/10: highly recommended.

Great place to shop for high end cars. Excellent customer service, answer emails promptly with great details. Car was ready for test drive upon our arrival, no limits on time and miles spent on test drive. Car seats are available with a couple popular brands including Maxi Cosi Pria 85 for test drives. Really going for the service, great company to deal with. We had Kyle replying our email and Gabriel to seal the deal. Locked kids play area is also available with toys, as well as nappies and changing table. Sofa and hot drink facilities are also free to use next to the kids area. The only thing that made this 5 stars experience a 3 star is the finance manager. After we've signed the purchase agreement and paid the deposit (that's after Gabriel told us how great this car is and how carefully they go on the market and select only the best cars by doing all the tests etc), Ramon, the finance manager tried to sell us a insurance policy ($1800 for 3 years) by saying 'you really think those guys did the checks? They just look at the list and tick the box'. We were not impressed by his sales tactic. I'm in no place to judge who's telling the truth but it certainly made a mark on this seemingly pleasant deal. Gabriel came in to explain to us again after Ramon had left the room, which made our experience slightly better again. However, this all could've been avoided. We shouldn't be pressured into buying anything or getting attitude because of not buying.

Bought a car just before Xmas and had James from WCD as our sales person and he was awesome! Really helpful, knew his stuff, no pressure and really friendly. We had to take the car back for sat nav install weeks later and they not only did that but also put in a conversion to get NZ bandwidth stations and also put a new battery in because ours went flat and they didn’t want us to have to worry about it- all extra, all done because they thought we’d appreciate it (which we really do!) and all at no extra charge!! He is also willing to listen to the problem I had encountered with the car and doing what he could to make this purchase NOT a regrettable one. Impeccable service ! Scott Duncan from Wholesale cars Direct was my first contact recently when looking to buy a Prius. Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for a tow bar, Scott said “ no worries it’s on us “. I asked for a full tank of gas to drive the 300km home, Scott said “ No worries, it’s on us.” Scott offered to organise an Uber to pick me up from the Wellington airport. Scott said “ Any issues in the first few weeks, let us know and we’ll see if we can fix it without using your mechanical warranty. When I arrived to pick the car up, Scott was there to greet me....he’s a true professional. Scott and the team at WCD put people first before the dollar. My experience with buying a car from WCD was great. Steve helped me with the questions I had and explained to me the features of the car we have chosen. The sale went through smoothly and I thought that was great. Their after sales support is impressive as well. After 6 weeks I had an issue with the car. This happened while WCD was closed for Christmas break so I emailed WCD. I was pleasantly surprise to get a reply from Gargz offering to swap my car for a loan car if I'm worried. My car still drives OK so I decided to wait until they re-open. While still on vacation Gargz organize for my car to be serviced as soon as they re-open. Yesterday I had my car booked into Wholesale Cars Lower Hutt to have the bodywork treated, a process I had wanted to get done when I bought the car from Stu back in February but due to personal circumstances couldn't do at the time. When I dropped the car off yesterday they noticed I was walking with a crutch, not saying anything to me they went and changed the curtsey car to one with a higher drivers seat, very observent and appreciated. I had already decided to leave a post when I got home. When the car was ready, Stu gave me a tote bag full of all the cleaning things I need to protect the coating, at no charge another plus for WCD Lower Hutt. But as the ad says wait there's more, Stu told me every so often WCD Lower Hutt does a feel good moment, yesterday was mine, they didn't charge me for the coating. After the 16 months I have had this was one of the moments I will never forget, after hugs all round and I drove home with tears rolling down my face. All of the staff at WCD are not your normal car salesmen, they are certainly changing the impression of the profession.

I have shopped (and window shopped) for cars at a number of user car dealers. I've yet to find one as good as WCD. It isn't just the car floor that is well presented, the cars are top notch. My obsession and love for cars (lets call it car ocd) means I look for faults. You are likely to pay a little higher for a car at WCD. In my opinion, it is totally worth it. Aside from the cars being put through the usual round of certification and inspections, you also get a AA pre purchase inspection report at no cost to you. This seals the deal, for me. Even though the car we bought had a cosmetic fault which was not picked up by AA (AA clearly states that you should satisfy yourself of the cars cosmetic condition), WCD noticed this, informed me about it and corrected the problem. Its these little things that make a difference. Before you put down money on a used car, I suggest visiting WCD. Highly recommended. Thanks Stu and Team. As a follow up, my car needed some attention for the entertainment system and suspension. Ryan took care of this and my car was back with me on the same day. Great, no, excellent group of guys at WCD in Lower Hutt. We were looking for a practical, reliable car and WCD was the first place we visited. Stu was amazing. I had thoughtful advice from Rob after I described what I wanted, and so I got the right car, looking brand new although 9 years old! After over two months, my BMW showed an 'engine fault' light. Don't normally post too many reviews however I have to say that these guys really do look after their customers. There were several after-sales commitments that needed attention and they delivered. Bought a 2012 Mini Cooper late 2019 from them and in early 2020 it was creaking everytime I accelerated. Instead of claiming under the warranty, WCD got it sorted with a new replacement part out of Germany which was promptly installed and it now drives like a dream. Got a fair price for our old death trap of a car, paid for the new one and drove away all in the space a of a couple of hours. "MUST BUY FROM" DEALERSHIP - FANTASTIC CUSTOMER ORIENTATION: I bought my first car from them earlier this year (after evaluating several other dealerships). They came highly recommended with a very strong word-of-mouth reputation. The entire sales process was smooth and very professionally managed. Dan Evans did a solid job there and I was very happy with everything he did and explained - the car drove and handled beautifully. However, the car developed a few issues and the real reason I am recommending them so highly is because of how remarkably they handled things and the ownership they demonstrated in getting the problem sorted. I started getting some early signs of the battery being a bit off after a couple of weeks, for example the clock resetting all the time - that I ignored thinking I wasn't driving the car enough. After about two months I started getting a few warning messages that would come and go but after around four months the warnings would come during every drive. While the car was still driving comfortably, I still needed to get this fixed. I called Kyle (from After Sales) and he asked me to bring the car in so that they could look at it and recommend a suitable course of action. The car was out of their typical coverage period but he directed me to one of their Electrical specialists who took the car in. A couple of days later the Electrical specialist was unable to diagnose the exact problem and WCD sent the car to another (more seasoned) specialist, who diagnosed and fixed the issue (issues with the battery and the steering). Now for the fantastic part - WCD gave me a loan car (from their end) for this entire duration. They handled the whole thing once the error had being diagnosed and replaced the battery, plus got the steering issue sorted - all on their own dime. What was truly exceptional was their attitude of handling the whole process. Kyle was highly professional and friendly, right from the first call till when he handed the car back to me. I met Dan again and he also clarified a few questions that I had on the car. He also asked me to let them know if any further issues developed - so that they could track the same. Truly top-notch service! Problems can develop in any car, especially a second hand one, but its how you handle, deal and take ownership of the problem that sets a dealership apart. As a customer I really couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend WCD - the quality of the cars is great to start off with and such problems will be rare - and when they arise, these guys will stand by their cars, honor their commitments and more. No pressure is put on you no limits to test driving but the most amazing thing with these guys is the after service they provide, had a little issue with the car I brought 7 months after buying it they took the car back with out any hesitation and have gone out of their way to make things right with the car and they won't give you the car back until you are 100% satisfied not like many other car dealers I've dealt with over the last 30 years. I would highly recommend WCD based on my experience so far. I bought an MPV in July 2017 and was really impressed by professionalism as everything from sale, setting up finance, insurance to the delivery of vehicle was handled without any stress. What inspired me even more was after sales support. I was nervous calling after three months for an ongoing break hiccup but Kyle and his team fixed it (actually replaced the breaks) within 24 hours and that too for free. I was given a loan car while they were fixing the vehicle. Amazing experience all in all.
