B.Booked through a 3rd party website and went for price, website charged $30. 5 day car hire/airport shuttle pickup-dropoff/unlimited milage in a 2017 toyota corolla for $191.(no extra insurance booked so they held $3000 excess on credit card during rental, no drama's with reimbursement). Very happy with Mode, genuine people to deal with and all went smoothly. Would happily use again and recommend to others, cheers

S.Great people and a sound rental service. Just a bit shocked to find I had to pay an unexpected upfront bond of $1000 when I collected the car. It would be good to have that info somewhere more visible. It isn't mentioned on the web-booking service I used or on the rental 'voucher'.

C.Booked through Car Flexi. Paid for insurance when I booked , only to find out on arrival at the car rental lot, that I was going to be charged additional insurance by Mode rentals and $1000 bond . Check the small print when booking through a third party .
Other than that the car was in great condition and was as advertised.

A.I want to say that we had a great experience renting from Mode Rentals in Christchurch during our short stay. I booked along with my Jetstar flights, and found the process easy.
The car was clean, fuel-efficient and good for getting around the city.

S.This is a budget rental car agency that offers vehicles for hire. Most cars are 6 or more years old... but in good condition and sound mechanical repair. The office is a portacom building and not necessarily permanently manned. Insurance is advised, however, be advised that your credit card will hold a $3000 insurance bond / holding charge, in addition to your insurance subscription... Mode offer free collection / return to the Christchurch Airport
