Excellent friendly and prompt pickup and drop off. Had hired a small car which was perfect for our travel from Kerikeri Airport to Paihia and surrounds. Extremely satisfied with price too compared with the bigger rental companies! Would definitely use this company again!

We hired a Toyota Corolla for a week during our stay in Paihia. The car was great and the customer service from Far North Rentals was excellent. We decided to hire the car for an extra day and it wasn’t a problem. All sorted with a quick phone call. The guys were super friendly and nothing was a problem. The service was great. Met at the tender pier from our cruise ship and the process simple to get underway. Also able to drop the car back to the same spot close to the pier. Only negative is that I believe the car at about 17 years old and 131,000 km was pretty much past its use by date as a rental. Notwithstanding, would I use Far North again - absolutely.

I had a great experience with Far North. I met the representative at the gate at Kerikeri (Bay of Island) and we were on our way in minutes. Since I needed to get to Auckland, I set up one way drop off, which also was a breeze. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the car was what I needed at a good price.

Very friendly and helpful reception. Vehicle as booked. Only comment is there were no notes of scratches etc on the condition report. This car has had paint (presumably accidentally) poured over much of one side of the vehicle and while most has been removed, I would hate for us to have been blamed for this. It was dark when we picked up the car and we did not notice this for a few days. Also a chip in the windscreen. However I would use Far North Rentals again.

I use Far North Rentals every year I go to Northland because I am so happy with their easy service. They are easy to book with, great if you need to call them and really friendly when you arrive. PLUS... great competitive pricing.

Everything went very well as usual! The only minor point I'd make is that the mat under the pedals on the driver's side is very slippery and moves around a little as you drive. It also slips quite a bit when you put foot on it as get into the car. Apart from that minor thing, the service and quality is excellent!

Pick up went smoothly - lovely FNR lady Marama met us at Paihia, very helpful and friendly. We were impressed with our little Ford Fiesta, it was clean, in good condition and travelled well for a small car, enough grunt for getting up hills and passing other vehicles and is quite comfortable, except that the back of the driver's seat could not be adjusted forward (faulty). Important to note that the indicators and the windscreen wipers are opposite to most vehicles, which drove my husband a bit nuts as he kept turning on the wipers when he meant to indicate. On our return trip our windscreen was quite dirty and we discovered that there was no water for the wipers ... Drop off for 12pm didn't go as smoothly as pickup, we arrived early, waited till 12.05pm, no sign of FNR person. We had been advised to leave keys at Info Centre if FNR person was not on time, which we did. Not a big deal but slightly annoying that we waited 20 mins and no one turned up.

I highly recommend Far North Rentals. They offered us their carseats for no cost when ours went missing at Auckland airport and helped us load all of our bags and install our borrowed carseats into the rental car. Very friendly and helpful.
